We were just in an accident yesterday. We got hit form behind at a red light, the other car was going about 40mph, my 1 yr old came through without any injuries!! This seat is a lil bulky, but aren't they all? My only complaint is that the strap padding sometimes gets in the way when I buckle them in, but just make sure it is snapped properly. Oh and I cannot imagine a baby smaller than 18 lbs fitting properly. All in all, it did it's job, it protected my baby! I will be replacing it with another Alpha Omega for sure!
Good car seat

We bought this car seat when our son was about eight months old. We are very happy with it, both as rear facing and now as front facing. In fact, we're expecting another baby and plan on buying the same car seat again, since my other son will still be using his. The only reason I'm not giving it five stars is because the cup holder only seems to attach to one side, and that's the side where the door is, and I can't close the door when the cup holder is attached. But that's not really that big of a deal.
Not so convertible as described....

Nice looking car seat for the price however I've adjusted the shoulder straps as far out as I can and they are still too tight on my son for his height. In reality it's as if he's out grown the car seat. He's only 24lbs so I find that hard to believe. I would not recommend this car seat to a friend.
Awesome Carseat, Awesome Price!

This carseat is AWESOME! It is super easy to install, very secure. And its very easy to adjust harness, reclines well (maybe not for newborn, but for 6months up its great), very easy to put in and take children out, doesnt get very dirty (like cloth carseats, that seem to be crumb magnets) it doesnt get too hot (and i live deep south texas where it get up the 100s during summer) my daughter is very comfortable, it is big(bulky) for a compact car, (but which convertible carseat isn't) again im only 19 and i had never used a carseat, and i installed it in less then 2 min.! love love it! and for the price, you cant go wrong!

We bought 2 of these seats for both sets of grandparents (who each watch our 8 month old 2 days a week). They seemed pretty functional since it was 3 seats-in-one and the price was nice as well. I did research this seat before we bought it and found that there were both positive and negative reviews on here, but I figured that maybe the negative ones were just being a bit harsh or maybe they were installing it wrong...
Well, I'm here to tell you that this seat SUCKS! First off, the latch system only has one tightening system (unlike the bases on most infant seats where you can pull each latch to get it really tight). Also the actual latch is really hard to get in there and hard to release...it's not like a seatbelt where you just click it and it comes un-done. It's all manual.
I even went out and bought 2 of the car seat leveler foam things and it still didn't do a bit of difference. My parents have an Expedition and a Pilot, and it didn't do a bit of difference being big cars and all. My parents ended up taking their back and buying a Britax and my mom can't rave about it enough, it's very easy to install.
My in-laws have 3 cars and they rotate in and out of them: A BMW, Camry and Volvo. Now in the Volvo the latches don't even reach when it's in a rear-facing position unless you remove the base, which is a big no-no unless it's being used as a booster or on a plane! So they had to install using the seatbelt, which is fine and all...but to go from a super easy-to-install base of the infant seat to this thing is just nuts. And they are the type of people who don't want to make a fuss and will find a way to make it work, so for them to say that it's not working out is big time!
So please don't waste your time with this seat...perhaps it works nicely as a forward-facing but as a rear-facing seat, once again, it SUCKS!
Don't be sold on the price or the convenience of it being a 3-in-1 seat, there are plenty others out there that will
Love this carseat!!!

I've used this carseat for almost 2 years and absolutely LOVE IT!!!! It is big for a rear facing carseat, but it works if you take the time to install it properly. BabiesRUs sells a foam wedge that you can use to help install the carseat at the correct angle. This was perfect! It really helps get the proper angle as well as getting the seat belt to tighten up enough. You need to put your weight into the carseat when buckling it down.
For forward facing, its great. Its really easy to recline and has been perfect for a sleeping child on long road trips. I love this car seat!
Not bad, but won't buy again

I feel that this carseat keeps my daughter safe and the price is low, BUT it sits too vertical, so when she falls asleep in the car (which she does all the time), her head flops forward and she wakes up because her neck hurts. Also, the strap to use with the clips in your car isn't very long. I am going to buy a different one and use this one in our second car.
LOVE IT, MOST USEFUL THING BOUGHT

I got this car seat for my baby shower 5 years ago. I have used it everyday since my son was 7 months old and he still uses it to this day. He can sleep comfortable in it since it reclines slightly. Has great head support. I love everything about it.
Hard to install

This car seat is VERY difficult to install. Looks great but my husband and I could not get the seat in tight enough. We tried both the latch system and the seat belt and both left the seat wobbly. I would not trust it to put my 5mo. old in.
HUNK OF JUNK!!!!

I bought this seat because the look was great and the price was also a good thing. Unfortunately I think the best place for this seat is on display only. My husband is a fireman and spent over 45 min trying to get the seat installed with the latch system. Now im afraid to take it out to clean it because i wont be able to get it back in. Also the fabric stains a dark brown with any spills. It also gets so dang hot that i can't sit my little boy in it until ive run the air cond. to cool it off. By the way its comming apart on the shoulder harness where the stiching must be really weak. I HATE this seat and plan on doing my best to get another one. I put this seat in front facing for those who were interested. Once in it does seem really sturdy and comfy. Just dont take it out or the pain begins again. So be sure and tell your infant not to spill, spit, or anything having to do with liquid. LOL
