Lightweight Strollers

Lightweight strollers are not only lighter alternatives to standard strollers. They are also easily folded to become more compact, which is why they are also known as umbrella strollers, making them ideal for long distance travels. They are usually less expensive, as well, since they do not have many features, often not even having canopies or storage baskets. Their seats have less padding, though, and they are not as sturdy as standard strollers, so they are not suitable for newborns and small babies. We offer a wide selection of lightweight strollers for you to choose from. We have lightweight strollers in different designs for baby boys and girls, some of which have canopies and baskets and some of which are very basic and compact.

Not a Toddler Stroller
2 stars
10/08/2010 by Mom looking for a new stroller, Manchester,NH

Comments about Amy Coe Umbrella Stroller Peace Love Kids:
Bought this stroller last September and one year later I am looking for a new one. My child is 20 months and grew out of it. He is average size. Don't buy this stroller if you are looking to it use for a longer time.
Another big issue -the front wheels fold into the canopy and the canopy is ALWAYS DIRTY FROM THE INSIDE. It is very disgusting, unless you wipe it or cover the wheels before you put it in car.

I thought the design was cute and all, however there wasn't enough padding on this stroller. It seems uncomfortable so I decided to go with Graco deluxe quatro tour and even though I paid alot more for it, I'm pleased with my other purchase.

Comments about Amy Coe Umbrella Stroller Peace Love Kids:
I LOVE this stroller! It is my third stroller and the first one I like. It is light weight, easy to maneuver and feels sturdy. Not to mention it is super cute. I read a review that it is not for tall people. I am 5'10 and my husband is 6'2 and neither of us have had trouble using it. I only wish it had a double version because I will be sad when I have to stop using it in a few months.
Wish I had bought this one in the beginning instead of ever messing with a 'travel system'.

Good purchase

I use this stroller everyday. Inexpensive. Love it...easy to store, lightweight, manuvers well, the harness straps (my daughter can't get out) The thing I found most important was the harness clip has mesh protection underneith, so you do not pinch skin on accident. I do miss the cupholders!!!

Comments about Amy Coe Umbrella Stroller Peace Love Kids:
I read tons of reviews for hundreds of stollers when I was looking for a lightweight stroller. This one had a few negative ones, but overall sounded good so I went with it. I am so HAPPY that I did!!! It takes up so much less space than my travel system. It is so lightweight! It is easy to fold. My daughter (20 months old) always seems happy and comfortable in it. The underneath storage is not that big and I was concerned at first that I would miss my large basket from my travel system, but it works for me!!! I use this stroller multiple times a week and love that it is so easy for me to use. I am only 4' 10". It probably is a little short for taller people, but its perfect for me. The only thing I would change would be to add some kind of parent cup holder!!!

Comments about Amy Coe Umbrella Stroller Peace Love Kids:
Bought this stroller for a recent trip to Michigan to use in the airport. It met all of my expectations and was very handy. I really liked the ease of closing and opening the stroller (you do need 2 hands though, this definately isn't a one hander!). I do have to say that it wasn't very comfortable to carry on your shoulder. My husband and I both had difficulty with that.

I would buy this product again and again

Comments about Amy Coe Umbrella Stroller Peace Love Kids:
Babies R Us had this for [$] I had the 20% off coupon so I got a good deal. It's not an amazing stroller but I needed something small to fit in the trunk with luggage for a vegas vacation. This did the job and the design is really cute. It's lightweight, easy to maneuver and quick setting up. The only thing I don't like is no cup holder which you get used to with a full sized stroller and the basket underneath is pointless. The bars are in the way so even if you could fit something in it, you can't get to it if your child is sitting in the stroller. Overall a pretty good buy but I wouldn't pay full price. Also you have to watch the bars. Amy Coe doesn't make a kit to cover them up so make sure your kid is not around when you set it up cause you don't want a finger to get caught.

I just purchased this stroller a week ago, as I was looking for an alternative to our travel system. One of my best baby purchases yet!

I love the design and quality of this product. It is well padded and ready for young babies and up. My daughter is almost 5 months (15 lbs) and uses the 5 point harness right now.

I would definitely recommend this to anyone!

Comments about Amy Coe Umbrella Stroller Peace Love Kids:
I did a ton of research and I'm so glad I settled on this one.

Here are some things to note:
- The purplish fabric with the pictures is definitely gray in real life! I like it better than the purple. It is more off-black than black.

- The "Peace Love Kids" seems smaller and grayer in real life,

- It comes with a detachable carrying shoulder strap

- The 5-point harness can be converted to a 3-point harness (my little girl is 3 months, 15 pounds and very long and she fits perfectly in the 5-point)

- It can be easily opened with one hand, but you need two hands and a foot to close. It is still very easy to do.

- Yes, the basket is pretty small, but it meets our needs.

- The seat reclines about 3 inches - the perfect amount for younger babies to be comfortable to sleep or see what's going on.

- The shade can be adjusted down in the front, it just needs to be unvelcroed.

- Everything is very nicely padded - shoulder straps and seat

- It is a little short for 6'1" daddy...he almost kicks the tires when he walks. However, he said he doesn't mind at all, he just uses one hand and walks along side. It handles and maneuvers really well even even one-handed.

- It is a little heavier than I expected but not too heavy.

AWESOME STROLLER!

Comments about Amy Coe Umbrella Stroller Peace Love Kids:
Lilah and I LOVE this stroller! It is super cute and full of peace signs which is sending a great message, but also it is light, quick to fold and open and IT COMES WITH A shoulder strap for easy carrying if you are not using it or traveling through the airport!

THE only negative thing we have noticed about this stroller is that it is short...I am 5'3'' and my husband is 6 foot so he reaches all the way down and it just comes to his fingertips. He does push it, but he prefers our BOB stroller for long walks or hikes. I LOVE this stroller as it is the perfect size for me, is light, folds and collapses so easily, and is great for a quick trip into a store. I DO NOT USE THE BABY BUCKET (infant carseats) so we have a convertible car seat (Britax Marathon) and I either carry her in her sling or in this stroller!

Great for traveling! Also our little one is 3 weeks old tomorrow and she fits in it with the back reclined so her head can rest back. The 5 point harness is a very nice buckle system as well with pads for her shoulders!

This is my handy, "out with only one child" stroller!! Small, stores easily, and CUTE CUTE CUTE!! I love the strap so I can carry it over my shoulder too. I refer this one to all my friends, a little more pricey than a cheap umbrella stroller but worth the money!!!! MUST HAVE, A+++. I LOVE LOVE LOVE AMY COE!!!

Absolutely Love it!

Comments about Amy Coe Umbrella Stroller Peace Love Kids:
I bought this stroller 4 plus months ago and really love it. I keep it in my trunk and pull it out where ever we go. It folds and opens so easily and is really light weight. My son loves riding in it. He was 5 months when we got it and is now 9 months old. He falls asleep in it all the time or is happily awake. The basket is a little hard to get to, but I always drop my keys and cell phone in it and that works great. It is a nice feature compared to some that do not have a basket at all. Also, it is very cute, sporty, trendy!
One Pro - The snap to keep it closed was really hard to use and then my husband broke it all together, so we just close it up and slip it in the trunk. It's not a must for us, but if you were carrying the stroller like for a bus or subway you might not like this stroller.

Overall I could not do without this item! I would highly recommend it!

Comments about Amy Coe Umbrella Stroller Peace Love Kids:
I ordered this stroller because the one I had for when my little girl was an infant was way too bulky and hard to fit in my car. This stroller is lightweight, easy to set up and very comfortable for my daughter. It is easy to maneuver and very compact. [...] The only downside to it is that the basket is a little small. I would totally recomend this to everyone I know.

Comments about Amy Coe Umbrella Stroller Peace Love Kids:
I have a 1 1/2 year old daughter and a 3 year old son. We have had many many strollers and our last one a giant cadillac of a Graco took up the whole trunk. I recently bought this stoller on a whim for my 1 1/2 year old and we love love love it. It makes outtings so much more enjoyable. The love peace kids and peace signs all over where perfect. One thing, online and in the store it looks black but once you get it in sunlight its actually a dark green, but looks good. Im not a green person but this strollers an exception. The only con is theres no cup holders, but no problem I bought one for $6.99 that attaches. Comes almost fully assembled just snap on the back wheels. Folds up small and easily. the wheels and the manuverability are excelent. and my daughter loves sitting in it.

I bought this stroller for my daughter when she was 8 months old for a trip to disneyland. It was great to use at disneyland, easy to take on the monorail and train. It's very lightweight, and I can open the stroller with 1 hand. The basket is not that big, but it's an unbrella stroller, I am able to fit a huge sweater and a couple of smart waters just fine though. The sun shade covers my daughter perfect, and I love that the straps on the seat is padded for extra comfort. I've had this stroller for over 3 months and it's still going great.

Comments about Amy Coe Umbrella Stroller Peace Love Kids:
I have this stroller as well as a Maclaren Quest. I admit I like this stroller a lot better! Very lightweight and a cinch to open and close. Also easy to steer. I like that you can use the shoulder straps or detach them and just use the waist straps when buckling in baby. The sunshade provides a lot of coverage, and the recline is a simple zipper release. The only con would be that there is no cupholder, and the basket is deep but hard to fit stuff into. I have an accessory bag that velcros on the back that works great, but I had to get one for my Maclaren too which has the same 2 issues. I find that the tabs used to fold down the stroller make good "hangers" so I usually hang my purse from them. I think this stroller is a great value for the price.

Comments about Amy Coe Umbrella Stroller Peace Love Kids:
Went to Babies R Us looking for an umbrella stroller that had a carrying case and/or strap to carry, plus one that steers better (I have one of the cheap $20 ones from Babies R Us and don't like it much).

After having my 3 yr. old get into a few different strollers, this was the one. She is quite tall (40") and this was the only one where her face wasn't covered by the canopy because she was too big for it!

We wont be using this one for long however because the weight limit is the only con and my daughter is slightly above the limit but I think it'll hold for 1 trip.

Pretty inexpensive as it was on sale. Probably wouldn't have bought it if it weren't on sale. That is, because my daughter is growing like a weed and almost too big for an umbrella stroller all together!

The pattern is ehhh....ok. I'm not much of a peace, love, and rainbows kind of person but I like how it's mostly just black, when she's in it, she'll cover up the pattern anyway! ☺

just purchased from Baby r us few days ago, used once indoor, easy assembly. It's great just like in the ad,but the seat is little narrow for big kid.I think it should has cup holder ,the seat can recline flat would be wonderful for changing(some public bathroom doesn't have changing station or dirty). In general,it's just right for the price.because you can't find any umbrella stroller that meets all your needs with this price.

Comments about Amy Coe Umbrella Stroller Peace Love Kids:
After bringing the stroller home I noticed the weight limit was up to 33 lbs. My child who's 14 months old is 29 lbs. I had to adjust the straps all the way. Definetly taking it back and returning. Don't recommend for big babies. Also basket is way too small. Would prefer a stroller that can recline more.

We bought this for a trip to Disney. Worked well. It was the right hight for us. Better than the cheeper twenty dollar umbrella stroller that they sell next to this one. I would reccomend this for traveling if you are 5'10'' or less.

Comments about Amy Coe Umbrella Stroller Peace Love Kids:
I purchased this product in August to replace a Chicco of the same price range. I wish I hadn't. When I go to close the stroller, it often sticks. The basket is poorly attached, unlike the Chicco and sags down in spots. In addition, one of the wheels has already broken. I used my Chicco for 2 years and never had any problems. I just felt the need for a change, and I liked the peace signs. Bad choice.

My parents took my son to the caribbean and absolutely love it they say it is comfortable to carry and it rolls well. The price is awesome I definitely reccommend it!!!

I love this stroller. I like that its has a strap so that I can carry it over my shoulder. I love the design. My daughter is going to be two months, I bought one of those head supporters for her so that she can fit better and I just zip the sides down all the way so she is lying down instead of sitting up. The first day I put her in it, she was asleep the entire time and she looked comfortable. I use this stroller all the time its easy to take when you have to go somewhere quick, especially if you have to take the bus like I do. =) Overall, its a great stroller, great price and I really recommend it to everyone.

Best umbrella stroller out there!

Comments about Amy Coe Umbrella Stroller Peace Love Kids:
I cannot say enough good things about this stroller. After searching and searching for an affordable umbrella stroller, I found it! This is a great umbrella stroller that fits nicely in the back of our car. It opens and closes quite easliy. However you must use two hands. It also has a handy carrying strap. The best part is the canopy. It rotates forward-something no other stroller in this price range offers. The padded seat and buckle provide comfort for my daughter. It reclines enough that she can nap too. Thought it is a limited range recline so if you are looking for more this is not the stroller for you. It has a decent size basket for a purse or a small diaper bag. All for [$]! I feel this is comparable to the more expensive Maclaren volo stroller. And if you shop at BRU enough you can use a coupon and save some $. You can also do an internet search for BRU coupons.

I compared this stroller with others in the store. I went in thinking I would buy a cheap one for around 30-40 dollars. I compared this one with one in that price range and I knew it was worth paying double. It is much more sturdy, has storage underneath, and looks really nice too. My little girl who is 3 months old falls asleep in it so it must be comfy. My husband is tall and says the handles are not high enough for him but I am the one using it most of the time. I think it is comparable to the light strollers that go for 200 dollars.

Cute pattern, great price, not much different then the very expensive strollers they were selling at Bru..wish that the weight limit were higher but i can't imagine the need for a 35 lb child in an umbrella stroller. I think for what i need this stroller for it will get the job done and again its really pretty.
