My 7 week old would almost always wake when put down and hardly slept at night. I was hoping he could put himself to sleep or put himself back to sleep if he woke up. He is just as terrible sleeper in this as anything else. It is hard to gently lay him down you have to reach so far in. If I try to swing him to sleep, it would take a very long time. It may work for your baby, but not us.

Our baby girl, Zoe, slept in this swing, in our room for her first 2 months. She was always swaddled and we only used it for night sleep, never naps. She is a very good sleeper and has always only woken once during the night. As she got older, she slept through the night. I liked that it kept in some heat, as Zoe was born in Nov and we always sleep with a window open at night. If she was in an open bassinet, I was afraid she would be cold. After 2 months, we moved the swing into her room, to get her used to sleeping in there alone and she was fine. We eventually moved her to her crib and we put the swing away (for our next kid!)
Zoe loved her swing and so did we.

My nugget refused to sleep at all during the night when we brought her home from the hospital. She would cry from 10 pm until 8 am. I didn't know what to do for her and it was really frusturating. I found the cocoon on this website and we were willing to try anything. From the very first night we have used it our daughter has slept through the night...every night. I don't use it during the day at all, not even for naps. We use it strictly for nighttime sleeping. It's easy to put together and to take apart for travel. I read that someone had complained of a smell but we didn't have that problem at all. I would recommend this product to anyone. We love it and our baby loves it.
Cranes neck forward when swaddled

The hammock-style design cranes my baby's neck forward when he is swaddled (no matter how it is adjusted or how far back I place him). At age 4 months he is still unable to sleep restfully unless he is swaddled; therefore, this product is probably my least used baby item.
*Note: this is a quality product and an ingenious design - it would probably work better for a baby who doesn't require swaddling.

My little one absolutely loves the cocoon! She has reflux so we allow her to sleep in it day and night. We also use her crib wedge in it to give her a little more inclination. I am not looking forward to moving her to a crib BUT we have LOVED this product. She won't sleep in anything else. Very cute also! And.. people have complained about baby "slouching" in the cocoon... if you have the back of the cocoon adjusted correctly and you have baby in the right place.. there should be no problem at all!

Product is as described, but our baby just won't sleep in it (or anything else we've tried; and we've tried just about everything!)
We have a 6 week old baby born 5 weeks premature. The only place she will sleep for more than a half hour is in mom or dad's arms. Not this product's fault, but we had high hopes based on the other reviews.

This worked very well for us. My second child would only sleep on my chest until I heard about how well this worked for my sister-in-law's baby. So we bought one for ourself and it worked great! The only thing to watch is if you don"t have AC and it gets real hot in your room, your baby can be hot too so dress him/her lightly.

Like the majority of the reviewers who purchased the cocoon, our baby isn't fond of her crib. After reading all the great reviews here, we thought the cocoon would be a winner. Nope, not in our case. I don't disagree with all these great reviewers because I'm sure it works great for their babies. Just like any baby item (swings, bouncers, etc. ) babies either like 'em or they don't. So we sent it back, [...].The item that does work for our little girl (now 1 month old) is the Fisher Price "My Little Lamb" cradle swing.

I wanted this sleeper from the first moment I saw it's picture.... I love getting what I want! It is perfect and my daughter looks so peaceful in it. She hasn't had a bad night yet; we are lucky in many ways, but I am sure this cocoon sleeper has something to do with it too.
Biggest draw back is the amout of space it takes up, but it is worth it as far as I am concerned. We are only a week into parenthood, but so far so good.
Baby loves it!

My baby would not sleep flat! She would cry all night or slept in her car seat until we purchased this sleeper. The very first night she went right to sleep in it.
It has the ability to adjust the back height, which also helped my girl with night congestion.
She is currently 8 weeks old and has been sleeping in it since her first week. It looks like she'll continue to fit for quite sometime.
Did I mention how well she sleeps? Even when she wakes herself up, she is entertained by the little toys hanging from the top of the sleeper and watches them happily or puts herself back to sleep.
We love this sleeper!

This product is worth every penny. I went from having a sleepless baby to one who is sleeping for 4 hours at a time. It is much less expensive than other comparable items in its category. My baby loves it and her parents love it too. I even like the way it looks in our room. Also, it's a funny conversation piece when other come over.
