How you use the product:
We are from India and Use something like this for Babies in India. I was hunting around and luckily got this cocoon sleeper.
My baby uses it for sleeping and playing
Things that are great about it
* My baby goes to sleep in few minutes of rocking and sleep for a long time.
* She enjoys the bumble bee toy over it. She sleeps in there and talk with it for minutes..
* It is very light and you can move it around your house. You can even move from room to room with your baby sleeping
* we disassemble it and carry it our friends place. It's so easy.

we struggled a lot to comfort our baby in the beginning...he sleeps only in hand...if we put him on the bed immediately he wakes up...he won't sleep in swing or crib...even i have to walk for a long time to make him sleep...after his first month we bought this product and it really worked out well...since its more spacious inside initially he felt scared while in the cocoon..later we swaddled him and we kept small pillows in his side....he felt more comfortable and sleeps well in this cocoon now...its really worth to buy...
Great for a short time

I bought this product for my son because my daughter wouldn't sleep in a bassinet, and wasn't wanting to do the whole co-sleeping thing again. It works great, my sons 9 weeks old now and has slept in it since he was born, he sleeps 8 hrs now! This model is more for a girl though. The only disadvantage is that hes going to be out of it soon probably around a month or two and hes not a big baby. Its easy to move around, VERY LIGHT, but DONT buy this for just the swing part, there are MUCH better swings out there for just naps or entertainment. I specificlly bought this swing for sleeping purposes. It is NOT a battery powered or plug in swing it moves only when you push it or the baby moves.
easliy outgrown

I'm on the fence about this product. It's much more bulky then I had expected, it doesn't swing on its own,you have to constanly push it for it to keep swinging and the air does not flow through it very well. I was benifical the first couple of weeks, my son was soothed by the cocoon feeling it gives, but he is 2 months old and has already outgrown it and perfers the standard type of swing now.
bad experience

would be fine except that it keeps leaning to the side and i can't get it to be flat and centered- my baby is always wedged at the side. I am returning this thing!!
Worth a shot

I have a newborn that wouldnt sleep in anything, he would only fall asleep and stay asleep if he was with me. He also has acid reflux so its hard to fill his belly and put him down flat on his back. This works good for him because it cradles him more and the swinging is also helpful. The only difficult part is the back is adjustable to raise up but the higher I raised it, it just seem to make his head fall to the side. I had to play with it a bit to get it comfortable for him. He sleeps much better at night and if he can only use it till he is 6 months its worth it.
My daughter sleeps great in this.

Our baby girl has been sleeping in this since her first night home from the hospital. I can even set her down in this when she's awake and she happily hangs out. The only downside is there are no sheets or mattress covers for this, so I cross my fingers when I put her in it and hope for no messes.
Awesome product for all moms

This is a must have for all moms. Its been 3 weeks since my daughter came home and she loves it. She sleeps almost 3 hrs during the day and 4 hrs in the night which gives me a lot of time to rest.
The swinging motion is also great which rocks the baby to sleep as soon as shes in there.
The only disadvantage is the mattress which is very thin and needs to be supported with a couple of blankets, but thts not an issue at all.
Great product!!!!
MUST HAVE!!!

This hammock is very easy to put together. At 4 weeks old my son was sleeping 8 hours a night! He loves it. The weight max is 22 pounds with is great. My sons only 16 pounds and it's been a little tight for him lately so we moved him in his crib...hes 4 months and 1 week old now.
We have a CD with white noise that we play on repeat all night long. Between that and the hammock we've all got plenty of sleep. MUST HAVE!!
Good investment

I bought the cocoon before the birth of my last baby, knowing the sleepless nights were headed my way. I'm glad I invested in this because I have experienced better sleeping with my baby using the cocoon versus other methods and sleeping situations with my first 3 kids(in bed with me, the swing, the carseat, the crib, the portable crib, etc.) .
What I like about the cocoon is how it is suspended & moves gently when the baby moves. It also is slightly inclined. Because it is cozy & moves in all directions, my baby adjusted well & sleeps 2-4 hours in between feedings, waking 3 times a night(which is pretty good for a breast-fed baby). The black & white outside design is also lovely to look at.
One downfall of the cocoon is that despite having breathable material on the sides & back, the cocoon keeps my baby a bit too warm, since she still is in the swaddling stage. Because of that I have to keep the A/C low & the ceiling fan on high. It would be perfect in a cold climate & in the winter.
I also didn't expect the sleeping pad to be as long as it is; you can expect the sleeping surface to be a bit smaller than the sized of a changing table pad.
The cocoon was a great purchase for me, & I recommend it to all moms & dads.
LOVE IT!!

Absolutely LOVE this thing. I'd never seen anything like it but after all the great reviews and info I found, I took a chance and ordered it. I'm happy to report that our little boo has been sleeping 4 hour stretches from the get-go, and generally sleeps 6-8 hours a night thanks mostly, I think, to this lovely little contraption. Baby loves it and so do we.
If I could change one thing, I would include a little zipper "window" on the side so I could just reach in to touch her (we have the sleeper positioned parallel to our bed), but I just created my own by snipping out a little flap so I can literally reach in.
I will be recommending it to all of my friends!

I haven't been able to use it yet (expecting in three weeks), but my fiance set it up in the nursery and everyone who comes to see the nursery's progress always comments on how much they love the little sleeper. It looks absolutely amazingly comfortable; it's very sturdy and would probably knock me out if I was a baby sleeping in it, too. The lining inside is velvety soft. My fiance didn't seem to have a problem putting it together, and it didn't take him long. I just wish it had more of a color selection. A nice dark green, jungley theme would be neat; I got the black and white so that it was more apt to fit any theme than the colors.
4 Week Old Sleeps Through the Night!

Comments about Arms Reach Beautiful Dreamer Cocoon Sleeper Silky Black:
My son has been sleeping in this since birth and he seems to sleep beautifully in it. His first ten days he woke up 3-4 times a night, then 3 times a night, and by four weeks old he was sleeping 5-6 hours straight! He's now eight weeks old and still sleeps in his Cocoon Hammock every night. We have it by our bed side, which we love!
The only slight con is that I have to sit up in bed to pick him up out of it (instead of rolling over like with the regular co-sleepers) but that isn't a problem for us. Another issue, which was initially a con but I have since resolved, is that the foam mattress had a funky odor when I first purchased this product. I had to slit open the vinyl cover and air out the foam mattress in the sun for a week to eliminate the odor, which worked well. So it's not exactly organic or environmentally friendly, but once you air the mattress out it's a perfectly functional and lovely hammock bassinet for an excellent price.
Highly recommended.
