I really loved everything about this product except for the musty moldy odor. I sent an email to the company asking if the smell was harmful to my baby and how to get rid of it. They said that it was not harmful, it came from the packaging process and to wipe the chair down with a baby wipe and let it sit for a day. I wiped it down and let it sit for a week. I finally decided to use it even though it still smelled. My baby was only in it long enough to watch her Baby Can Read video and when I took her out of it she smelled musty and moldy! Toxic or not, I returned it! I love my new Bumbo.

I chose this over the competition because it had a sturdier tray. However, I do not like that the tray has slots that can collect dirt, food, and general gunk if a child has snacks. The place mats are just that, place mats: very easy to take off, throw, chew on, etc. It is a good product, but not perfect.

I started using this when my daughter was about 4 mo old after seeing them used all the time at her day care. As long as they can hold their heads up on their own, the babies could sit in it. It was great when I was trying to get ready or cook dinner. I could set her in it on the counter as I was putting my makeup on or fixing supper. Until she was about 7 months, she could not get out of it. We even used it as a portable high/booster chair. We could take it to the restaurants with us and sit her in it where she could sit at the table like a "big girl." We still use it (she is 9 mo) on the floor when I am trying to fix her hair or she is eating a cracker. I don't know what I would have done without it.

My 7-month-old son doesn't fit this with tray. I took it back and got the Bumbo with the tray and it is much better.

I purchased this over the Bumpo b/c it had something for my son to play with on the tray. It is so wonderful. He loves it! He's just shy of 3 months, but he's strong and on the larger side and this is perfect for him. He went right to work spinning the toy. I love that it's soft but also easy to wipe clean. What a great product!

My daughter is 14 months old and we love this seat! She uses it at the babysitters as a highchair and used to sit/play in it when she was smaller. I love that it has a seat belt. It is soooo easy to clean. I throw it right in the kitchen sink and hose it down. The only thing that was a little annoying is that there wasn't anything to attach the little tray covers on. I had to be creative and attach some sticky velcro to the tray and the cover to make it stay. Other than that, I love it.

I was debating between this or the Bumbo and decided to go with the BebePod Plus because it had more to offer. I was unsure if I made the right decision because Bumbo has such a good reputation. However once I got it and put my daughter into it I knew I made the right choice. She LOVES IT! She is five months old and now I can cook, clean and do things without her complaining to be held. She sits up perfect and loves the toy. She can see everything and watch me. It is a great product. Made well, cleans well.
Very happy with my choice.

This is a pretty good little infant seat. I was torn between the bumbo and the bebepod, but I thought there was more pros than cons. Some reviewers claim that the bumbo is more "snug" and holds baby upright. For me, I'm trying to get Zoey to sit up on HER OWN without assistance from a seat. It came with a restraint belt, so she doesn't tip over. The seat is very soft and I love how bebepod has a removable tray. The bumbo doesn't have that feature. So if I'm on the go and I don't want to carry a highchair with me, bebepod is great! The sassy rattle that came with this is wonderful... it is one of her favorite rattles. My only complaint is it didn't come with the sassy suction cup holder, but she has another sassy rattle WITH a holder, so I swap between those. Very cool product. :)

I got this chair as a shower gift and overall the chair is fine. My son is 3 1/2 months old and is just now starting to like the tray and toy. I use it when I'm trying to get ready in the morning or making dinner. He slumps over to one side or the other and gets frustrated. My mom has a bumbo chair and he seems to sit up A LOT easier in that chair. So I guess both chairs have their pros and cons.

Was torn between getting the bumbo and the pod plus. I like the way the baby fits really tight into the bumbo and the back seems higher and more supportive. My friend who has it complained that there was "nothing for the baby to do" when she sat in it though, so I decided to get the bebe pod plus since it had the toy. The moment I put my 3.5 month baby in it, she started playing with the toy and screeching with delight. I can now work on the computer/cook, etc. It is nice that she can see me at all times when I bring her from room to room in it (with a nice small footprint for counters or tables)AND she has something to play with while sitting in it. Fit is not as tight but seems fine, plus there are the optional straps. Highly recommend this product.

My Daughter LOVED this chair, she was in it until she was well over a year old. We finally decided to buy a highchair when she was about 14 months old. We sat it in the middle of the table and she would eat off the tray, she loved it! Strongly suggest ! I see someone gave this only 1 star as there son's legs would not fit at 5 months old? My daughter was a bit on the smaller side, always in the 25th to 50th percentile. So Maybe that child was just on the larger side of the percentile chart??? But We loved the chair! This was great for taking to restaurants, small enough to carry in and we could place it in the restaurant chair or place her in the middle of the table, or at the back of the booth, or on the table at the back of the booth(where her back was at the wall, where she could not fall off).

I started using this right around 3 months when my son could hold his head up. The first couple times we used the chair, Alex slumped like a bag of potatoes. By the 3-4 time he was in it, he was sitting erect. It really helped him learn to control his trunk muscles which translated to stronger pulling himself us and standing. Alex prefers this chair over the bouncy seat and swing. Like one other reviewer and against the instructions, I use it on the counters and table to free my hands to cook and eat and he's right there watching what's going on. Also, like other reviewers, the leg holes aren't very big and I can see Alex outgrowing the seat by 5-6 months. If it were bigger, I think I would still have a sack of potatoes - the learning wouldn't be there. I wish this had been around for my older children!

I love this product. I started putting baby in it a few minutes a day once he could hold his head up. Now I feed him in it and he sits in it on the bathroom counter while I get ready. He loves looking in the mirror. I just put him in it and carry him from room to room (which directions don't recommend but works for me). He sits on the kitchen counter while I make bottles or on dresser while I am making the bed. LOVE IT.

Our son began using the seat at 5 months. I chose this one since it came with the tray and toy. The toy keeps him entertained for quite a while and he seems to sit perfectly in the seat. The seat is soft and light weight. Really no complaints.
Great seat for our guy's pudgy leggies!

I started researching baby seats we noticed our son was holding his head up on his own pretty well (right around the 3 month mark). We went with the bebePOD PLUS over the Bumbo seat simply because it offered more leg room for our little man, who has rolls to spare and thus got stuck in the Bumbo when we tested the seats out in the store. We also liked the toy that can snap onto the tray--Ryan spends lots of time spinning the toy around and around, when he's not trying to pry it free. It's true that it doesn't appear to be as comfy as the Bumbo at first glance, but I like that the seat itself is smooth and not textured, and the place mats will offer a nice option once he starts eating solids--no food getting stuck in the grooves of the tray. Plus, to us it seems a little roomier, so we're hoping to get longer-term use out of this. Overall, I'd buy the seat again.

We bought this chair because we needed somewhere to feed our daughter while we were moving up to Washington. We love it. We sit her in the chair when its time to feed her and she sits there. The chair is a soft material and really easy to clean. I use a paper towel and hot water. Its nice because when shes watching cartoons I can put her in the chair and put cereal on the tray and she sits and eats and watches cartoons. I put it right in the living room floor. Its great!
