Got this seat as a baby shower gift and have been very pleased with it until recently.
PROS:
-Can take the place of regular high chair when on the go
-Tray can be attached
-Very lightweight
-Very portable
-Easy to wipe clean
-Can use with very young baby
CONS:
-My baby is now 8 months old and is able to escape from the chair. Mine does not have the straps so she is able to fling herself to the side, tip the chair over, and crawl out. Very frustrating when trying to feed mashed peas....
-Do not sit on top of regular chair as baby could fall over.
-Tray is kind of pointless because if you want to use it for eating you have to put the little mat over the holes that are in the tray and the mat has no way of sticking to the tray...so baby picks up the mat (with all her cheerios on it) and chucks it across the room. great.

We used this seat in the kitchen when our daughter was around 3 months old. The seat was handy when I was working in the kitchen and wanted the baby close by. We also got the tray and used that to hold toys. Great seat for the money.

Do not Not Bleach! I had feed my son sweet potatoes in is chair and it stained it so I sprayed bleach on the white piece and it still would not come off so I soaked the white piece in bleach and it is now brown and the stains still haven't came off. Bumbo comes clean alot easier. It 3 months old and looks 3 years old!
Still using the seat at 2yrs old!

I was given a bebe pod seat from a friend who used it with her girls. Mine does not have the tray option, but I still love the seat and am currently still using it with my 2yr old. He loves this seat. It provides a nice deep back that supports babies just learning to sit up or those who aren't quite ready yet, unlike the other brand which has such a shallow back. It also gives my 2yr old just the right boost for eating dinner at the table with us. I plan on getting 2 more for my twins to use. Can't wait to be able to use the tray option with these guys.....LOVE IT!

My little girl could use the chair at 2 weeks old. Bebe Pod has a higher back support then the Bumbo seat does!!! My little girl loves to sit in her Chair and watch tv with mom and dad. It's a must have item!!!

We've been using this seat since our daughter was 3-4 months old. It is definately helping her learn to sit up. We use it several times a day and even use it in place of a traditional high chair. I love how portable and easy to clean it is. Weather I'm doing laundry, making dinner, or just trying to relax I can put our little bug in her pod and she can watch me just as well as I can watch her! I have several friends who bought the Bumbo seat instead and I MUCH prefer this one if for nothing else it is waaaaay easier to clean and has a seatbelt for squirmers!
My baby likes it.

My son is very large and has been using his Bebe pod since about 6 weeks. If you roll up a receiving blanket, you can use it to prop the baby up a little better until he fits a little better. Its so nice to be able to set him down, without having to lay him down. He sits in his Bebe pod while I use the bathroom, do dishes, cook, do laundry, etc.
Now that he is 3 months he fits in it better and can hold himself up better. I hope he learns to sit up soon, because he isn't going to fit in much longer. We never tried a Bumbo, but I doubt his legs would fit in the leg holes. The Bebe pod leg holes are more open, and the middle part can come off while you place the baby in it.
The straps that come with it are a joke, however. First of all, they serve no purpose. If your baby can get out of the seat, he probably doesn't need the seat. Second, they aren't long enough to hang out of the seat while you sit him in it. So once he's in the seat how are you supposed to get to the straps to buckle them? He's sitting on them and there's no room for your hand to get them out from under his bum! Just remove them and toss them, they are just for show.

This has been the number one product that I use with my baby girl! I use it to feed her, I put it on the counter when I am doing something and need her to just sit and watch and she loves it cause she can see everything. It has a safety belt so I feel comfortable putting her on a high surface cause I can strap her in. She loves to sit in it when I put on a signing DVD for her to watch and she sits in it when I read to her and also just for playing in.

I got this seat from my mom after a double gift was made to my sister. I already had the Bumbo brand seat. This seat is slippery and the Bumbo brand holds them in place much better. My daughters couldnt sit upright all the way in this seat but had no problems in the bumbo. Over all it isnt a bad seat I just prefer the Bumbo brand.

We sat our 5 month old son in a bumbo at the store. His thighs were too chubby for the bumbo but fit in the bebe pod. We bought the pod and a tray and had to take them both back. The tray sat right on top of his thighs. Other babies may not experience the same problems, since my boy is in the 97th percentile for height and 90% for weight. It would work well for smaller babies as soon as they are able to hold their head upright.

I received this product as a baby shower gift, but my daughter was never able to use it. The seat never supported her enough even when I tried it when she was an older baby. I gave the product 3 stars because if your child fits the seat I think it could be very useful and I have friends who liked theirs. I also have a friend who had the same problem I did but she got her son a bumbo instead and that worked for him. I am expect again and will try the seat with this baby we'll see what happens.

We were given both the Bebe Pod and the Bumbo as gifts. We returned the Bumbo because the Pod came with a tray, but I have used the Bumbo at friends' houses and they are quite similar. The biggest problem is that the baby only needs a "sitter" for a few months. Too early, and the baby doesn't have the back muscles to prevent it from flopping backward, and once she could sit, she was big enough to lean way over the sides. In retrospect, I would not purchase a "baby sitter", I would borrow a friend's or yard sale it!

We love this product. We had our son in it at 10 weeks old...he loved sitting up even then. The seat holds them perfectly in it, and surrounds them. The softness of it surprised me. It was about 2 months ago that we couldn't use it anymore because of how much he wiggled out of the seat. I love this seat and would highly recommend it to any new mom out there - after only being able to lay on their back, side, or tummy when they are very young you can sit them up at that age too - and it's a whole new world for them!

My little girl (4 months old) LOVES to sit up so this was perfect for her! She loves to sit in it to play. We also sit her in it to fed her cereal and it works GREAT!! I am a little worried about the leg wholes - if she gets really chubby it might not work as well. But I would definitely recommend it to anyone!

I bought the bumbo as did three of my girlfriends, we also purchased the tray for feedings and playtime. I suggest you wait till your baby is ready for the seat as we learned the hard way. The babies size and shape really makes a difference in what seat will work best. For chunky babies the bumbo is short lived as the leg holes become to small overnight (only able to use it for a month before her sons legs didn't fit any more) and if your baby is chunky and strong they will flip the bumbo over as they reach over the sides(one friend was never able to use the seat for this reason her son was three months old the 1st time it tipped over landing on top of him). My son was lean so we have had the most use but needed blankets to suppor him for months as there was no strap on the bumbo (bebe has strape but slick surface). As for play time the trays are small and toy fall off quickly(instantly) and the floor is a little to far out of reach so play time without help was not an option. As for feedings it is great because there is no big high chair but the tray is dangerous to secure with baby in seat. You have to tip it back to get it to lock if the baby shift around while you are doning this it is very hard to do with one hand... needs work. But once the tray is on it isn't going anywhere till you remove it. You can put the tray on before baby goes in either. I suggest you play with them both at the store first. Both are great is you get what will work for you! Now I have both bebePod and bumbo, but only because daycare will let me get my moneys worth.

I used this item with my nephew and absolutely LOVED it. It was the coolest item I had ever seen. I bought it for a friend's baby shower and I know she's going to love it also. It is the best invention EVER!!!!
