Swings

Swings are an integral part of our childhood. Before purchasing swings, you must decide which one you want - battery operated or crank model. Frankly, most of them available on the market today are battery-operated.In any case, they should be safe. They must have a solid base to avoid tipping and a safe seat is necessary as well.Other safety features such as rolled towels for stability of an infant's head, will help to avoid accidents when an infant's neck or head can become trapped between the back rest and the bars. The biggest advantage of the crank models is that they can serve lifetime, if they have sturdy, stable frames with tubular-metal legs. And a big plus can be their well-padded reclining seats.

Comments about Boppy Rock In Comfort Travel Swing Pink:
I chose this swing because of its compact size and portability. Living a city rowhome with limited space, it has been absolutely perfect. It folds up easily and is very lightweight so we are able to store it quickly and can move it from room to room with us. Love the timer. So far, no battery issues.

Works Great, but NOTlong-lasting

Comments about Boppy Rock In Comfort Travel Swing Pink:
Yes, I would still recommend this to a friend, but I would DEFINITELY get the extended warranty!!! It seems almost inevitable that it will break. Although that's rather depressing, I still feel that I got my money's worth- I just really REALLY wish it were better construction so it would last for more than one child.

I LOVED THIS SWING! It was quiet, it was smooth, the music was pleasant. The batteries lasted rather well.

Why then only one star?

PROBLEMS:
1. If the swing is not level, the motor won't work. So if it's tilted to the left or right (when looking at the baby) it won't swing.
2. The battery compartment is difficult to open and close properly. If one isn't careful, even if the screw is in tightly, the batteries will fall out.
3. The toy bar is quickly destroyed by older siblings and can fall on the infant at a light touch. The toys are irrelevant, too high for the baby to grab.
4. The seat folds in half (for travel), but this has some people thinking that the second seat position is with the seat folded or half open. There are buttons on the side that go from reclining to laying down. There's not a real "sitting up" option.
5. The motor burns out EASILY! I had to chase people away from the swing (difficult with toddlers who love their baby sister!) as any consistent resistance against the motor burns it out. I've had two, and the first one burned out after only 2 months, the second after 7 months of use.
6. Can't tell when the "lock" is on, which is a problem because it seems either the motor is burned out, the batteries are dying, or makes one think the swing doesn't work. Just double check to make sure it isn't pushed in! This will also wear out your motor.

I loved the look, I loved the portability, and I loved how much my babies loved being in the swing. I loved the neutral coloring, and that it was perfectly machine washable (great for those diaper

Ok, so I fell in love with this travel swing before using it but it really wasn't very good to use. First of all it didn't really fold up easily or STAY folded up. Baby didn't look comfortable in it either. Good features are the nice music and also the timer function.

It's ok

Comments about Boppy Rock In Comfort Travel Swing Pink:
I picked this swing (in another color) because I had no room for a full size one. It's cute, it's portable and light weight. The music is a little annoying, I barely ever turn it on. I like how it has several speeds. Overall it's a nice swing. However my baby doesn't seem to like it. I think the most I got her to stay in it was 10 minutes. The first night at home she slept in it because she wouldn't stay in the crib, but now she cries when I put her in the swing. She will take naps in it, but only if I put her down and she is already asleep.

Not so good

Comments about Boppy Rock In Comfort Travel Swing Pink:
We decided to buy a small travel swing to save space and it turns out we should have bought a full size swing. This swing was great at first, but it seemed that as time went on the swing stopped swinging altogether. I know there is a weight limit, but our daughter was a month old and it just stopped working (7 lb infant). So it became more like a seat than a swing. One day my daughter was sitting in the swing and she reached up to grab the overhead toys and the swing tipped over backwards. Needless to say it went out the door that day.

Comments about Boppy Rock In Comfort Travel Swing Pink:
[...] Price was average compared to others. Before I made my purchase, I checked other comments and some people seemed to have had problems with assembly. My son in law said it took him no time at all, really only a few minutes. I also read that people had problems with the motor after only a few days. They have had it for a few weeks now and it still works. Yay! My daughter says that my grand daughter loves it, they only time she has a problem with it is when she is taken out. My daughter loves the portability of it, especially since she has now gone back to work and can fold it up and take it to her in laws and back home again where it fits nicely into it's space without taking over. Overall I think it was a great purchase and I would recommend it.

Great swing, but not enough support

Comments about Boppy Rock In Comfort Travel Swing Pink:
My daughter likes this swing okay, but we've tried her in other swings and she's much happier in them. This swing is so wide due to the pappasan style that she doesn't stay upright. And let me add that my daughter is a big baby! She constantly falls over and ends up lying in uncomfortable positions. The swings that are narrower would support her much better.

The upside to this swing is that it's very light and portable, and folds up very easily. It was also very easy to wash in the washing machine.

We really like this swing. Its perfect for a baby under 6 months. Its soooo quiet. And very soft comfortable. We actually got this one and a much more expensive one thats high off the ground and my baby loves this one and hates the more expensive one. I love the automatic timers and the various speed settings. Awesome swing!

Comments about Boppy Rock In Comfort Travel Swing Pink:
I like this swing. It hasn't given me any problems with battery doors or the batteries dying too fast. It is so easy to put away when not in use. My 4 month old likes it whether she is swinging in it or just playing in it. You can remove the shoulder straps if you don't like them. The toy bar is nice and moves out of the way easily. Overall I am very happy with this product.

I have a one month old and have had this swing for 2 days. Before I bought this swing my baby would always cry when I put her in one of those vibrating bouncers, she never seemed to like it, but she falls right to sleep in this swing. This is definitely a keeper!

Comments about Boppy Rock In Comfort Travel Swing Pink:
We bought this swing as an option to travel with and for the grandparents house. Baby seems a little uncomfortable in it. I saw other reviews that says baby's chin touches chest while laying in it and it's true. I found the battery pack a little hard to keep on as well, but with a little muscle you can pop it into place to where it stays. We also got the Boppy bouncer and baby is WAY more content in that.

Easy to Use!

Comments about Boppy Rock In Comfort Travel Swing Pink:
We have a larger swing as well and I like both. However when my son was first born he was way too little for the big swing so this one (in a different color) was very nice to have. The big swing is also too bulky to move from room to room so I love that I can pick this one up with one hand and move it to have him nap or just be in whatever room I'm in!

Very Cute

Comments about Boppy Rock In Comfort Travel Swing Pink:
Even after reading some of the not so positive reviews on this swing, I decided to purchase it anyway. I put it together myself and it was easy enough, it seems sturdy and I like that is can recline so my daughter will be able to lay flat, the music is pretty lame but I find that it usualy is swings. I cant wait till my daughter is born to try it out.....
