I bought this car seat for my 1 year old since she's outgrown the infant one. She loves it! She falls asleep the minute we put her in it. She looks really comfortable in it too. We've taken her on three 4+ hour car trips and she's content the whole time. I plan on buying another one for our other car. I like that it reclines so it's more comfortable for her to sleep.

This is great! We originally purchased the Boulevard but it was too large for our backseat so we exchanged it for the Diplomat instead. Our daughter is very comfortable in the seat and the wings on the headrest do not bother her at all. She is enjoying the added height which allows her to see out the windows which she was unable to do in her infant car seat. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone with a smaller car. It is heavy and pricey but the quality is great as are its safety ratings and that is what matters. I found it very easy to install and easy to get my daughter into and out of.

The car seat was perfect for our nissan altima. Our son enjoys every minute of his ride. Only problem is I had a hard time locking the hooks on the lower portion of the seat of the car.

We had been using one of the infant car seats (with the detachable carrier) before buying the Britax Diplomat. I haven't used another convertible carseat, so I can't compare it with anything, but it seems to work just fine. It appears to be comfortable and I think my daughter (9 months old) seems to like being more upright than the infant carrier. It was very easy to install. The only thing I don't like is that the straps frequently get twisted. Even with the velcro on them to hold them to the side when putting baby in and out, they get twisted easily. I love the fact that the shoulder straps are easily adjusted - both for tightness and for their height. I got the carseat on sale, and am pleased. We've had it for about a month and based on my experience thus far, I would definitely buy it again.

After having a lot of researched i read about this diplomat carseat and we decided to have it since our car is an acura with two doors only.

Everything about this seat i love it just except the color but well its not that important. You can choose a color of what you like but we grab the hummington color since it is on sale in the other website.

My daughter loves it so much and she always want to seat it there even just inside the house :-) she is more happier and comfortable and very easy to install and everything is so easy to adjust the 5 harnessed.

Hope this help to those looking for a seat for their small car. Grab it and i assure you will be satisfied.

I got it because I read a few reviews that said some of the other Britex seats can be too large for a smaller car. It ended up being a great choice. Some of my other friends' children cried (out of discomfort, we assume)as soon as they were put in their seats. I never had that issue. The pillow around it seems to give his head more support, especially when he falls asleep. Very easy to install, especially if you have the latches. My son is just as comfortable in it now (18 mo.) as he was when it was rear facing and he was 9ish months.

My daughter use to cry everytime we put her in the carseat, but rarely does she do it now. Seat must be comfy for her. Very easy to get her in and out, and to adjust the harness. The only problem we've had so far is one side of the harness keeps getting twisted. Otherwise, we love it and it seems like she does too!

After trying to fit several car seats in my BMW this one was great. My huge 7 month old daugter still needs to be rear facing and all other seats caused me to push the passenger seat forward so no one could sit in it. The Diplomat is an exellent alternitave if you really wanted the Marathon, but don't have the room. Also, Daaddy loved it because it was sooo easy to install.

After several weeks of research I settled on the Diplomat for my 4 month old b/c it has everything I wanted. Infinite no rethread harness adjuster, push button LATCH, rear & forward facing tether, easy one hand strap adjuster, velcro side holders so you aren't fishing under the baby's rump for the straps, recline in both rear & forward facing, and of course Britax's unparalleled safety!

I drive a large minivan, but I also have a very tall husband and no matter how hard he tried he couldn't get the larger Boulevard to fit behind him. The Diplomat is the perfect solution!

If there is anything bad I could say about the Diplomat, it's that I'm not sure it would fit a newborn. My son is 4 months old & almost 14 lbs and the lowest setting fit him just right. I don't see how a 5 lbs (Britax's min weight on the seat) newborn would be big enough for the required "at or below".

A word about installation- Even in the bitter cold, it took my husband no time and hardly any effort to get this seat in so tight it isn't going anywhere! The rear facing tether anchor is a great feature that very few car seats have.

Returned the Decathlon to get this one

I first bought the Britax Decathlon. It was so hard to get my son in and out of that I returned it. I was delighted to find this seat which was much easier to release the straps and shorter. I drive a nice sized sedan but when put in the center of my backseat the larger Decathlon felt like it was almost in my front seat, this seat works so much better!!!

When transitioning from an infant carrier to a convertible carseat, I really did the research because my son was so uncomfortable in his infant carrier. He cried almost everytime I put him in it. He absolutely loves this carseat. He is extremely comfortable and does not fight me at all to go into it. Installation takes some time but it is extremely safe and does not move. Getting my son in and out of the carseat is as easy as it gets because the straps tighten and loosen with the push of a very accessible button. Also, the straps adjust around the shoulders with a knob (some other carseats require taking the straps out and feeding through other openings for adjustment.)It was worth every penny!

I wanted a seat to fit rear-facing on the driver's side of the car. Originally I tried the Britax Boulevard, but it wouldn't allow the driver's seat to go back far enough for my tall husband. The next best option was the Diplomat. It has the side impact protection like the Boulevard, but in a smaller version. It fits perfectly! And since my daughter is petite, it fits her really well too! We love it!! We'll switch her to a Boulevard when she moves to forward facing and use this for the next baby.
