We tried this chair a few times - got it when my daughter was 4 months old - she is a larger baby and has thicker thighs (got to love genetics) - - - we found she "sticks" to this and is hard to get her in and out - her thighs are about the size of the holes and she was not fond of it - we decided to pass on this product and return it to the store - however - we thought the idea and the product itself was good - just wanted it in a larger size!

omg well my twins go to physical therapy because they were premies and some muscles need strengthening so the therapist gave us the bumbo to borrow...let me tell you she was right...it's a great way yo prevent flat headedness, strengthen neck muscles, and help with balance i LOVE IT my twins love to sit in it. Thanks KC ;) the only con is be careful because my son started crying and threw a tantrum one day and started pushing himself back to get out of it and he's tall so he could have flew backwards so what i started doing is i put the bumbo in front of the sofa so they still benefit from it because the sofa doesnt touch their head and they are safe...suggestion buy the tray they can play and eat omg trust me u will love it i take it to my moms house for them to sit in it

My little boy loves to sit in his Bumbo. We feed him in it too because I like it better than the booster seat that we got him. The only thing I don't like is that he has chubby legs and he is hard to get in and out because the leg openings aren't big enough. Sitting in the Bumbo has really helped him with his head control too.

I absolutely love the Bumbo seat! It's very helpful. I put my little one in the Bumbo as I work around the house. I also use the seat to feed her. She loves it too.

I love this little chair!! I got it as a baby shower gift and I never heard of them until I got it. My son is only 6 weeks old and he loves to sit in it! It is helping him learn to sit up and helps make his neck stronger. My husband and I set it on the table while we eat so that our little guy can be there with us (constantly supervised ofcourse). We have a small home so it also helps with space because we don't have to set up his feeding chair just yet. I love that its also a soft foam so its comfortable for the baby to sit in. I love this little chair!!!

I didn't find anything wrong with the Bumbo seat, but I think there are other products out there that fill the same function and more. We got a Bumbo for my son at 3 1/2 months when he was trying to sit up on his own. By 4 months, he was sitting on his own, so we didn't need to use it very long. He also didn't like being in the seat because he was bored. I found that there is an activity tray you can buy, but then it occurred to me, I should have just used his portable feeding chair. Someone had given us a compact-size feeding chair with an adjustable-position back. He could sit upright in it and I could stick toys on the tray. Plus, I felt it was safer, knowing he was strapped in and it was more useful - it was a seat he could use from 3 months on because it also had a reclined position, a feeding tray, and converts to a booster seat later on. I wouldn't bother with a Bumbo again.

Just a great product! My little one started sitting in this around 4-5 months. Not only does it help improve neck and core strength, it's very convienent for parents. It's portable and easily cleaned. Just be careful as your little one gets older and strong enough to wiggle out of it!

I ordered this chair by many recommendations from other moms. Loved the product but the color I ordered was hideous. The actual color on the box did not match to the product. I exchanged it for another color. Overall my baby loves sitting in the bumbo!

This product is great...for the average-sized baby. My daughter has the opposite problem than some larger babies have had. She was born 6 weeks premature. Thus, at 5 months of age and only 11 1/2 lbs, she's still only in the 3rd percentile of the growth charts.
While her physical size was too small to fit until recently, developmentally she's now too advanced. She's no longer happy with sitting still, even when distracted by toys or us. (We even tried sitting her in the Bumbo while in her favorite toy of the moment; Boppy play gym.) She wants to wriggle and kick as well, which her shorter legs can't comfortably do as her knees don't reach the edge yet.
She holds her head up just fine and can play using her hands, so we're doubly frustrated since she's also too small for highchairs. Thus we thought the Bumbo with the additional tray would be a good alternate. No, it's still too big.
Wish they made this in different sizes.
P.s We also made sure we put cushions behind the Bumbo in case she ever managed to tip it over backwards like some babies have done.

I love our Bumbo! We started using it when our little guy was 3 months old. It's a great break from putting your baby in a swing or bouncer etc.
My little guy was always trying to sit up from the time he was between one and two months old. We would put him in the Bumbo then, but he got frustrated because his head would bobble too much and we'd have to support it. We waited a few weeks and then he was doing fine. FYI, Don't try and use the Bumbo before they can support their heads! And only use it on the ground!
My only complaint is that I wish the leg holes were a bit bigger - my little one is slightly porky around the legs and it's a tight squeeze already.

I started to have my baby sit in this Bumbo at 7 weeks. The back of it is high enough to help somewhat support her neck, so I felt comfortable with her using it. What's funny is, I would also let her sit in there right after eating to help her burp. It worked on some occasions. At 14 weeks, she is still using it and like to watch TV in it. You must keep an eye on babies at all time while they are in there. I'm not sure how much longer she will be able to still fit in it, but I'll use it until then.

My daughter recently had a baby (her first). What a joy our little angel is. So many baby items were given to our daughter for her precious little one. My nephew also is a new proud parent and I wanted to give him a perfect gift. Naturally, I asked my daughter what her favorite gift was. Without hesitation, she said her baby bumbo seat. It is so useful for the little one who can't sit alone yet (age birth to 6-8 mos.) It offers great support to their back and allows them safety away from Mom's arms. This product should be purchased by every parent. I thought I could get away with propping my daughter with pillows to learn how to sit, but in reality this device was the better choice. Propping her with pillows she slid down and was lopsided while sitting. The seat allowed her to sit upright with correct posture. She also liked feeling like a "big girl" when she sat with us on the floor.

My son loves to sit in this seat like a big boy! He is to the point where he wants to sit up and see, but he can't quite control his back fully yet. He is a bigger baby, so I was afraid he would not fit. Turns out he fits perfectly in it! I could see him working to control his head and back in this chair so we started of in short bursts and gradually go longer. He has been using it for a month now and loves it!

I really like this seat. When My baby is sick of being on his back in the swing or bouncer I put him in the Bumpo so he can see the world from a different perspective. It's great when I have my hands full in the kitchen. I put him in a safe corner away from the cooking and he can still see me. He rarely cries in the Bumpo. He has started to try to get up out of it even though he's only 4 months! I hope he doesn't learn this trick too soon.
