This product would be great if it wasn't such a pain in the butt to attach to the bumbo seat! I pout the baby in the seat and then attach the top part first then you almost have to lift the bottom of the seat up (a pain since its glat and no curve to get your fingers under it) and then push the bottom part under the seat! I could not stand this product but the baby I watched didn't have a highchair, this is what they used for the longest time. I personally wouldn't waste time with it. I say invest in another type of seat that has an easier attachment.

We have been using this since our princess was four months old and it is wonderful. If it is snapped together properly, it WILL NOT come apart. To attach while the child is in the bumbo, simply put top on first, being careful to avoid squishing fingers, and then squeeze it up and slide on at the bottom. The bumbo is soft, so it is very easy! Our baby girl loves to bang on it as we feed her--it is wonderful with the bumbo chair. She is now eight months old and we still don't have a high chair. It is all we need!

I have a play tray for each of my twin's bumbos. It is easy to attach and does not fall apart if snapped together properly.
When I first used the tray I did not SNAP the two pieces together, so they came apart very quickly. Sometimes putting the tray on is slightly akward and I pinched a baby's finger once. But, now that we've figured it out, it's easy to use.
I use it with a Sassy Illumination Station that suction cups on.

Thank you to the reviewer who wrote to just push the two parts until they click! Our box didn't come with directions, but this was enough info to pop them together and now it doesn't fall off at all. From the second we put her in, my 3 1/2 month old has been pushing toys off the tray and picking things up. The lip is just perfect for her to get things off but to have them stay on to play. It's a little deep for her reach yet (if there's just one toy on the front edge, she can't reach it) but it's great stacked with lots of blocks.

Excellent to use the tray for food or toys! We use the bumbo and its tray like a booster seat when my daughter was younger. Worked great because it supported her. However, sometimes it seems like it is difficult to attach the tray. Almost like the tray is too small for the Bumbo. But, I make it work when that happens.

I almost did not buy this after all of the comments on how hard it was to put on and it did not stay together but I gave it a try anyhow. I followed the directions that came with it on how to put it together, put it on, and take it off. I found it was very simple. I had it together and on the Bumbo in a minute. It has helped my son keep his toys handy while he plays setting up (he is 5 months) and I am sure it will be helpful when he can start hand feeding himself. I have not found anything that I do not like about the Bumbo Tray.

This tray comes apart very easy! My son is a preemie and he pulls it apart in less than 1 minute. This is annoying when you have a spoon full of baby food. Don't buy it!!

We bought this thinking it would help keep our daughter in the bumbo and would be easy to attach and take off. Well, it is a little tricky especially if your child is in the bumbo. My baby has chunky thighs and we can't set her in the bumbo with the tray already attached. So we have to put her in and lift it, and attach it underneath. If it was easier to attach we would definitely love it!
Also, do not leave your child thinking the tray will keep them in the bumbo, my daughter climbs out everytime!!!

Most of the bad reviews wouldn't exist if they tray was assembled all the way. A baby cannot take the tray off if it is SNAPPED into place. Push the two pieces together super tight and you hear a snap, try to get a baby to take that apart!!
My only complaint is that my DS (5 months old) throws all the toys off after a few minutes and squeals for more. But that has nothing to do with the product!! I would suggest it.

Huge disappointment. I was extremely happy with the bumbo and thought I would get the same results with the tray. Boy was I wrong. I couldn't figure out how to attach the darn thing to the seat and when I did, it was so flimsy. Don't bother with this.

The Bumbo and tray are great. My daughter loves to sit in her Bumbo and eat meals and the tray is very helpful. I can put my daughter in the Bumbo and cover the tray with toys and she will stay entertained. Also, she is beginning to learn how to lean out of the seat but with the tray attached, she cannot get out of the seat. It is easy to put on and take off and cleans up so easily.

We were given the Bumbo as a gift and purchased the tray later-both are amazing products and my baby has loved it since he could hold his head up. We started solids in it, since it held him up better than the high chair, he went where ever I did in the mornings and loves the texture of the chair. I love the non-skid bottom so I feel safe putting him just about anywhere (dryer, bathroom counter, kitchen table, kitchen counter, coffee table) and he loves to be at a high level instead of always on the floor

I totally love the Bumbo seat, but the tray is way too hard to put on after I have my baby in the seat. It's also hard to quickly get her out of the seat once I have it on. When I lift her out, the Bumbo hangs on her legs, and I have to pull or shake it off. Baby does NOT like that! It's like the tray is too small to fit on the Bumbo. Don't waste your money!

Echoing other comments: I had no problem putting it together (Snap the 2 pieces together---they shouldn't be easy to remove if correctly assembled.) but the tray really seems pointless to me. The toys don't stay on the tray. My DS doesn't really like being contained with the tray either, but that's just his personal preference. Overall, I'd suggest other parents borrow this from a friend rather than spend money for it.

I don't understand how this item could possibly get a negative review. It is an awesome addition to our Bumbo! Now my baby can have a toy or even better, a suction cup toy, to play with on her tray. It's awesome! The tray securely snaps to the bottom of the bumbo and you just slide your baby in, like a high chair seat. I guess if your baby is really big you might need to take it off to get him/her in but it hasn't been a problem for us. Love it!

I'd be willing to pay a little more for a tray that's easier to get on and off.
This tray comes in two parts - the "leg" and the tray. The leg has a 1/2 long foot that slides under the Bumbo. The tray then fits on top of the leg. One reviewer said his tray snaps into place - I've tried to do this without success. My 5 month old can easily take the tray off of it's leg. GRR!

When we first got the tray, my son constantly pulled it off. I was about to return it when my husband looked at it and realized that the two parts click together. Our son was never able to remove the tray again, and it was great to keep toys on to keep him occupied.
Some of the other reviews indicate that children are able to take the tray off. Check to make sure that the two parts click together. There are two tiny bumps that are hard to find (at least they were for me!).

maybe if this was cheaper i'd give it 1 more star, but for something that's difficult to remove quickly, no adjusments, no depth to keep toys in, I'd say this wasn't a necessary purchase.
Hopefully it'll be put to good use later????

I'm a first time mom and of course registered for the seat as well as the tray. While the seat is awesome to use as a travel high chair and of course to train your little one on sitting up, the tray is a waste of money. In order to snap it on the correct way, you have to lift the seat off the ground (with the child in it) to snap it in to place. Then if your child gets upset and needs to be taken out of it right away, you can't just pull them out, you have to tilt the seat again and remove it from the bottom. It is not convenient.

The tray is a nice idea, but my son pulls it right off and plays with the tray instead of his toys. When he doesn't pull it off immediately he just knocks his toys off of it right away, so for us the tray is pretty much uneccesary.

I purchased the Bumbo seat, which we like a lot. However, this "tray" doesn't stay on, is difficult to get on and my baby pulled it off almost immediately. I was seriously disappointed in this product. Don't waste your money!

i love the tray!!! maybe there were a couple bad trays out there or something because i have had no problems with mine. its actually hard for me to take the tray off (which is a good thing). my 3 month old loves sitting in this chair with the tray and playing with her toys.
