I bought the Chicco Keyfit carseat for my daughter two years ago, but thought I wanted a jogger so I got a Tike Tech(HATED IT!!!!!) After fighting it for two years with my daughter I bought this stroller for my new son and am in love. The car seat snaps in and out so easy. My super tall (39") two and half year old also fits great, although I don't use the harness for her, so I haven't tried that. I'm 6'1" and the adjustable handle is great. It rides well, handles well, folds easily- I couldn't be happier. Bonus-it's stylish looking, great colors.
Love it!

Purchased it twice!

Comments about Chicco Cortina Stroller Extreme:
I love this stroller for long walks in the park, and neighborhood. The adjustable handle makes life for my 6'1" husband, my 5'4" father (who watches my son primarily) and myself 5'5", very convinient. It's a smooth and incredibly comfortable stroller to push and Aiden loves it. The basket has held my diaper bag, purse (not small at all) plus a couple shopping bags with stuff, effortlessly. We used this stroller so much that we wore it out! We took advantage of the trade in offer TRU has right now. You get 25% off of a new stroller when you bring in an old one. I purchased the exact same one. Now that my son is 2, we can still use it for him and hopefully for an infant in the future all over again! Closing it takes practice, but you can do it with one hand (and foot) while holding a screaming kid in the other arm-I've done it...not pleasant but it was do-able.
Loved it at first...

Comments about Chicco Cortina Stroller Extreme:
We bought this stroller when my son was first born, January 2009. I loved everything about it including the matching carseat. As my son got bigger a few issues came up about the stroller. It does not sit up all the way, also when laying the seat back the top of the seat automatically adjusts up. Don't know why that is but now that my son is 19 months old and almost 3 feet tall, he cannot lay all the way back. The top of the seat forces him to scoot down which in turn makes his feet drag and seat belt not fit.
If you expect your child to be tall, I suggest you find a different stroller.
Nice and Smooth

Comments about Chicco Cortina Stroller Extreme:
I love the smooth ride of this stroller. It feels very sturdy and comfortable. The only issues I have with it have been that the most upright position still has a slight recline to it. Also, the harness system is off, one side is unable to be loosened so it is very tight on the left. We cannot take it traveling as it takes up A LOT of space in the trunk.
Great stroller for Toddler!

Comments about Chicco Cortina Stroller Extreme:
I recently returned a different stroller that was very expensive, yet didn't meet my expectations and I purchased the Chicco Cortina in it's place. Very pleased as I was looking for something a little more rugged then an umbrella stroller but not quite as bulky as some of the full size strollers. The Cortina stroller was the only stroller I found in the store that met all my requirements plus a few added extras that made it even a better stroller then the one I returned. After reading some of the reviews on this stroller regarding the 5-pt harness I admit that I was worried that it wouldn't work for my 30 lb 2 year old, but after adjusting all the straps there is plenty of room to grow with no problem! She is comfortable and what a smooth ride! Great stroller!

Comments about Chicco Cortina Stroller Extreme:
We stay on the go and this stroller keeps up! Since we bought this stroller it's been on 3 roundtrip flights and made our trips a breeze. It's easy to snap together, get it ready for baby, store our incidentals in the basket and lightweight to throw in the car. The shocks are great providing for a smooth ride, large canopy, easy to clean fabric, and most importantly it sits up high. We personally didn't want our child to be riding low with the random dust flying in their face, or at the level where peoples travel bags can bump her, and she's easier for us to reach at a higher level considering we're almost 6 feet. We love it and recommend it to anyone looking for a quality, lightweight, full size stroller.
Pretty good

Comments about Chicco Cortina Stroller Extreme:
We love this stroller however when the infant carrier is installed there is not a lot of storage room underneath. Your diaper bag or shopping bags cannot be too bulky or they will not fit. Other than that this stroller is easy to fold/unfold, manuevers well, and has met all our needs.
Not that Impressed!

Comments about Chicco Cortina Stroller Extreme:
This stroller was for my second child and it is easy to fold but HEAVY. Cumbersome in a store while shopping and the one thing that REALLY bothers me the most are that the straps are not long enough for my 14 month old!!!!! The other big problem is that the recline does not recline to a full flat (or close to it) position which is another poor feature. Basket and cup holders are nice. We only use it now for walks in the neighborhood and for every day use I use my combi umbrella stroller instead!
Ok, but not great

Comments about Chicco Cortina Stroller Extreme:
This stroller is just ok. I only like it when used with the car seat. I found the ride to be smooth and I liked that the stroller was smaller than most other travel systems. Here's why I don't recommend this stroller:
1. Since I only liked it when used with the car seat, I was better off buying one of the snap in strollers and then getting an umbrella stroller when my baby was able to sit up.
2. When I used the stroller alone (with out the car seat), I found that the seat did not allow my daughter to sit up all of the way. When strapped in, she wasn't able to sit up and look around. When I tried to loosen the belt so that she could sit up on her own, I found that the max it would go was too tight on my daugher's belly. The seat belts need to be longer to accomodate bigger babies and toddlers. I can't see this stroller being used by a todder unless the parent doesn't strap the baby in.
I also found the stroller to be bulky in my trunk. I have a mid-sized car and the stroller took up most of my trunk space.
The cupholders and storage on the handle are nice but the basket is very small. My diaper bag could barely fit.
I love my Chicco car seat but I would not have purchased this stroller if I knew that it wouldn't last past the 1st year!

I'm returning it and going to try a new one... We'll see if I'm disappointed with it again!!!!!! Hopefully, just got a dud the 1st time.

The bad thing is that it is hard to ride on uneven roads or streets.
Tight fit for shoulders
04/02/2010 by Jacobs Mommy, Diamond Bar Ca,
Comments about Chicco Cortina Stroller Extreme:
Very compatible with every environment. i.e. malls, theme parks, regular walks.
Strolls easily, easy to clean, front snack tray lifts up so toddler can get him him/herself. adjustable handlebar, Alot of storage room. Reclines 100% which was a must for me. You can even open it with one hand.
The only thing I have to complain about it the tight fitting shoulder room. The side padding makes my son look squished. My sons 2 1/2 so smaller kids would probably be ok.

This is a great stroller! I have been impressed with the Chicco brand for durability, functionality and price. The color scheme on this stroller is really nice - my husband and I are Oregon State alum, so we love the orange. Also, it was a breeze to assemble.
Not the greatest Stroller.

Comments about Chicco Cortina Stroller Extreme:
We bought this to match the carrier and because I love the color. It is a very smooth riding stroller but it is very hard to install the carrier if you dont have the back all the way down. Also it stays in my car and when I take it out to use it depending on the weather, the fabric is either freezing cold or steaming hot. Also when you lay the back down it makes the sides smaller so my daughter has less room from side to side. The basket on the bottom is slanted and does not seem to hold much of anything. I can not even fit her diaper bag in there and when I crammed it in, because the basket is slanted her bottles leaked all over.
I am sad to say as expensive as it is I will soon be buying a different strolzler.

Comments about Chicco Cortina Stroller Extreme:
We got this stroller b/c it was very popular and we should've done more research before buying it. We used it for 2 days and hated it.
Cons:
-the sunshade is absolutely USELESS, no protection from wind, sun or rain.
-Side pad/cushion is hard and uncomfortable.
-strap/belt is a weak system.
-LARGE and very heavy.
Pros:
-smooth ride (who cares, most strollers are smooth)
-reclines well (But does not have an "upright position"), we got it b/c my 7 mo wants to sit upright all the time.
THIS IS AN AWESOME STROLLER

Comments about Chicco Cortina Stroller Extreme:
We love this stroller. My daughter loves sitting in the stroller and sitting up is not a problem the seat is right where it should be and it gives her a lot of room to move around. I love that fact that in the snow it handles very well and we can take it on the bus with no problems. I really haven't found anything not great about this stroller because we are very satisfied with it and we actually bought one for a gift for someone else. The company itself is fantastic, I had broken a hole in the sun visor and I called the company and they replaced it free of charge. You can't go wrong with this stroller OH yeah and the basket in the back is huge I went to the store and bought about $100 worth of food and was able to put all the food in the bottom of the stroller in the basket so this is a great find.

Just bought this stroller and it was extremely easy to put together!! The information says that it is compatible with Chico infant seats but I tried it with Graco infant seats of all sizes and it fits perfectly. Glad that we could buy the stroller and still use the Graco infant seat that we already had.
The Jeep of strollers!
01/28/2010 by Julie, Will's Momma, Ohio,
Comments about Chicco Cortina Stroller Extreme:
I selected this as part of the travel set with the Chicco Keyfit 30, which is an excellent car seat and top rated everywhere I looked! I wrote a review on that, too. I mainly got the stroller because it goes with the car seat. When your baby is a newborn, you will use the car seat plus stroller for walks and things because it cocoons your baby to put the car seat on the stroller. Then when he can sit up you will put him in the stroller by itself.
Anyway, this is a great stroller. It is like a Jeep as far as hardy and able to keep steady on uneven terrain. Good shocks! I have crummy sidewalks here that disappear sometimes and I have to push my son on grass, etc. This keeps him comfortable. It is durable.
It is heavy, yes. If you have a problem lifting things then you might need to check this out first and see if you can handle it. Also, it is a little big so you would need to check that it will fit in your trunk. That was not a problem for us as we have a Taurus and I am strong physically. I really like this stroller and the Chicco customer service is excellent.
I definitely recommend it.

Comments about Chicco Cortina Stroller Extreme:
We use this stroller for walks, trips to the mall and travel. So far it has worked well. smooth ride, plenty of storage and easy fold up. I wish the seat had an option for it to be straight up, my son tries to sit straight up and the restraints keep him back, which leads to our issue. the options for the straps do not come in a large enough size. the waist is already to tight and he is 22 pounds. what are we supposed to do when he gets bigger? When he has the seat reclined to take a nap i cannot use the shoulder straps because then he cannot lay flat, his body gets all crunched up. we got this stroller b/c it looked neutral and had certain things we were looking for: single hand fold, cup holders, single handle with multiple postitions. i wish i had known that it does not sit straight up and the straps were to short. oh well.

PERFECT W/KEYFIT 30 CARSEAT
12/19/2009 by busy bee mom, Minnesota,
Comments about Chicco Cortina Stroller Extreme:
This stroller goes perfectly with it's counterpart, the Chicco Keyfit 30 carseat. Love the oversize basket underneath for storage and it is easy to wheel around. I give it 4 stars only since it is bulky and heavy. Thus, it takes up more storage room and is heavier to lift in and out of the trunk. If you have a compact car, this stroller will take up most, if not all, of your trunk space.
Permenant Recline position

Comments about Chicco Cortina Stroller Extreme:
This is a good stroller. It's strudy, durable, and super-easy to pull in and out of your car all day long. But the biggest issue for me was that my son likes to sit straight up and the seat only has 3 recline positions, no "sit straight up" position. It was too expensive for us to go buy a different one so we just put a pillow behind him, but it is still very annoying.
Good Stroller

Comments about Chicco Cortina Stroller Extreme:
I really like the stroller overall. But like other comments about the sunshade, it is useless. I also found that the cupholder doesn't stay on and the front wheels do have a mind of their own. I really like it though because it is smaller and lightweight.

Comments about Chicco Cortina Stroller Extreme:
My daughter is one now and we've had the stroller since she was born - front wheels don't roll smoothly - they actually face opposite directions at times! The stroller is also now difficult to open and close. I thought chico would have been better quality. Highly disappointed. Has 2 plastic clips to hold infant carrier inside the stroller. My daughter has caught her arms on these many times. Also, sun shade is useless. I added the kiddopot. shade, but this is bulky and a pain to put on and off when the stroller is folded. I much rather my $20 umbrella stroller now.

I have searched for the right stroller with all three of my children... I like the neutral color, I guess even though everyone else seems to think it's a BOY stroller and seat. I can get the same thing at a diff. dtore and not have to buy the seat and stroller seperate.. how annoying when you need them both! would def. consider other options, like a travel system where they come together.

CONS
fabric not too comfortable, leg rest does not lay straight for taller newborns.
I am pretty much pleased with this stroller. I mainly use it for my infant, but actually tried it out in the store with my very tall 3 year old and she seemed to like it and had enough room. she is 40lbs and the stroller was still very easy to push.

Comments about Chicco Cortina Stroller Extreme:
This has all the bells and whistles I wanted and then some. I had in mind going into babies r us, buying a Britax, Peg Perego or McClaren and in all honesty, they felt so flimsy compared to the Chicco. I was so shocked! Especially since the price was quite a bit less than the above. Yes, this stroller is a bit heavier, but as I mentioned it has everything I needed. I love that the seat lays completely flat, large storage basket, a tray and cup holder, adjustable handle, a large canopy that blocks the sun in any direction, and it closes up with one hand! So happy with my purchase, I highly recommend this stroller!!

Leg operates different then floor model
08/17/2009 by FordEscapeMom, Chicago,IL
Comments about Chicco Cortina Stroller Extreme:
We found this stroller to be wonderful in the store. It had a great 3 position leg rest (the one in which we enjoyed most was flat out). Unfortunately we tested only the orange and grey one in the store but came home with the silver cubes design. Upon unpacking and fully assembling the stroller the leg rest can only be up or down. My husband ran back to the store and found that only the orange one seemed to have this feature (on the floor model) so we traded it out for the orange one. Upon bringing it home we discoevered the same issue, so once again we will be returning it, this time just to get our money back. Very Disappointed, considering this was the only stroller that could accomodate our long legged 2 year old.
Love it!

Comments about Chicco Cortina Stroller Extreme:
I have been using this stroller exclusively for my child since birth. He is now 17 months, 30 inches, 22 pounds. I also have a Keyfit 30 carseat which I bought separately however i love that they match.
PROS:
Handles well on turns, running, all terrain
Very smooth and not wobbly- even one handed.
Folding mechanism is strong and not likely to break-but not really one handed if stowing in a car since you have to put the handle bar down first. I love the fact that the stroller folds UP to you so you do not have to bend down to pick it up. When the product was new I did have some issues with folding the unit however i have since learned that I was not pulling the lever all the way up.
Fits in a small vehicle - Focus SVT 2 door with hatch.
Material wipes clean very easily and wears well.
Padded well allowing for a comfort and enjoyable ride.
Fits through security check at airport. BIG concern since we do travel. Most all airports will make you fold the unit and place thru the x ray machines. As long as the wheels are folder IN it will fit thru the machines avoiding a manual search which takes up a lot more time.
Basket is big and holds a lot- however i would like to see it larger. It can even fit base in it (which I did at the airport). when the seat is fully recline it is hard to place stuff under there however it will fit under there.
Adjustable handle height is perfect. you can rotate the handles in to several heights.
Great parent trays and cupholder
Great kids snack tray and cupholder
Suspension in the wheels
Folds easily if you remember to lift the lever all the way up
Nice big adjustable and removable sunshade with a peek window
Color: Love the color (orange) it matches well with my car which is also orange! Dirt blends in and does not show
CONS
It is of manageable weight, but definitely not lightweight. For that we got the smaller umbrella one WHICH I do not rec
