I like how light it is and it holds up to 30 pounds so the baby gets a lot of use out it. When my baby was 7 months something happened to the seat. It got jammed in the base somehow and wouldn't come out unless we used tools to pry it out. Had to get a new one. The material doesnt feel all that comfortable to me though. VERY easy to install.

We have been very happy with this carseat. The base was easy to install in my 2006 Honda Accord using the LATCH system, although we struggled a bit more in my husband's 2002 Bravada using the seatbelt. It's easy to buckle and unbuckle my son from the seat, and the harness length is very convenient to adjust. The seat seems comfortable enough, but my son gets pretty hot and sweaty when sitting in it. He's always been a bit on the warm side, though, and I just don't bundle him up before putting him in. The main reason we bought this seat was the safety rating, so I'm willing to put up with a few downsides in order to have the extra protection my son needs.

my husband and i just had our 3rd child and before we were expecting we didnt have a single baby item to our name. so once we found out we were having our 3rd child i started searching for baby products. and of course, i instantly stared searching for carseats. like i did with my first 2 i wanted something stylish and pretty and cute. well, this time i wanted something more safe for our baby. i searched online and was going to buy the moxi-cosi carseat but i wanted to see it in person. [...]. i didnt care if it wasn't girly or stylish. i wanted protection and i felt like i was making the best decision. and i have. i love it. my daughter loves riding in it and one thing i do love is that it clicks into the base very easily and its easy to pull off of the base. i would recommend this to EVERYONE!

We loved this product from the start. Safe, sturdy, very easy to ensure that we're always using it in the way it's intended. The stroller that matches is also very easy to manage even one handed. We chose this seat based on a friend's suggestion and we love it for all the reasons she did and then some. It gets great safety ratings also, which was a requirement of course! We love the neutral pattern (even though we knew we were having a boy) and that it's not the most popular pattern out there. It's SO easy to install even in my older car that does not have LATCH. Getting it in and out of the car is simple and getting the baby in and out is easy too. The newborn insert is so cozy for him, and he's still using it at 3m because he's only 10lbs. The fabric washes well (no dryer!) and we love that the handle can stay up in the car (makes for less work) and be safe (per the instructions). Love how easy it is to tighten and loosen the harness, too. Will definitely be sad when he outgrows the seat.

Super happy with this carseat! The car seat itself is super light..it's the kid that makes it heavy:) By itself the seat is super light...I love how EASY it is to snap this seat in and out of the car. I also really like how it rocks back and forth ( great for early dr. visits. I got two bases, one for my husbands truck and one for mine. Only complaint is that the sun shade isn't big enough. I wish it would offer a bit more. Overall, I am really happy with this product. We did not get the whole travel system. I have a bumbleride that I have only used the Carseat adapter a few times. I also place the car seat in the shopping cart itself when shopping. I love the gray color. He does seem to get warm in the seat though.

This is a great car seat! LOVE the newborn insert! My daughter was 6lbs & tiny, so w/out the insert, she'd of been flung around everywhere. Removed lower newborn insert as she got bigger and used the head insert, which I just removed (she's 5mons now). Great for supporting the head. Also has strap covers so the straps do not dig into her neck. Like that the tightness of the straps is easy to adjust. Easy to install and level. Love that it goes up to 30lbs. Easy to clean, newborn insert is washable. I use a Clorox Wipe to clean the straps and cover.

With our first child, we used a convertable car seat so we were excited to purchase this carrier for our second child. This carrier is a popular item and rated well on consumer reports. However, our son gets EXTREMELY hot in this carrier. He is 2.5 months old and 16lbs, and it is hard to get him out of this carrier. He has just about out grown it. It is quite heavy, and with the baby weight it gets REALLY heavy. It's a good product if you have a smaller child.

I really have enjoyed this seat. My son is 10 months and 20 lbs. He grew out of the head and hip inserts pretty fast but the inserts did allow him to be snug while he was tiny and continue to use this seat while he grew. I am very happy with the seat and would recommend to anyone! I have used other brands with older kids and do not feel they are as sturdy or reliable as the chicco seat.

We ordered this car seat in preparation for the birth of our little girl. I can't attest to the functionality or ease of use yet because we won't be using it until January, but so far, I like what I see. It fits very well into our Baby Jogger City Mini stroller (with the special Chicco adapter piece) and looks very durable and attractive. It seems to fit in our vehicle well, too (Acura MDX).

I did tons of research and decided on the Chicco KeyFit 30 from other parent endorsements and the NHTSA safety ratings (www.nhtsa.gov). This seat was so easy to install and use along with the Baby Trend Snap N Go stroller.
At 12 months, my daughter weighs 23 lbs and is 28.5 inches in length and she still rides comfortably in the seat. We did purchase 2 First Years TrueFit Premier convertible seats for her next phase (only convertible seat to get 5 stars from NHTSA) but she still rides in her Chicco for now.

i had purchased this b4 my son was born and as a car seat this is safe.. but i find the stroller that goes with this to be a pain when u try to connect this piece in. u have to make sure the material within the stroller dont get in the way to connect and until u figure it u will have a few headaches so definately play with it without baby.. also the stroller is heavy and its hard for me with a lot of stairs and im forced 2 buy an umbrella stroller now.. but overall i will suggest this and the whole travel system because of the safety and that means heo most and all the other bells and whistles are pluses.. which the stroller does have and makes certain issues a convenience. and my son is very comfortable in both carrier and stroller.. and once u understand how to work the carrier and straps it is easy..

We purchased the Chicco KeyFit 30 Infant Car Seat & Base, after doing some research on infant Car Seats for preemies. This was the highest recommended car seat from the NICU where our daughter was. Our daughter enter this world at 31 weeks and 2 days gestation. She was 3Lbs 1oz. She spent 32 days in the NICU and left weighting 4Lbs 9oz. She had to pass a car seat screening test in order to come home. They did the test 1 time in the Chicco KeyFit and passed. I have not had any problems with this wonderful car seat!

I use it in the middle seat of my car with the base. I have also used it in other vehicles without the base and it works great. My daughter falls asleep very easily in it. When she was 3mo. we took a trip to Houston and it was a great ride.

I have a 3 year old and a 3 week old that have both used the 22lb seat which I think is more than enough. If you think the seat is heavy with a newborn, just wait until your baby weighs 20 lbs. For those scared that they will have to buy a convertible seat because your baby will grow out of the infant seat, guess what, they will grow out of all infant seats. And convertible seats are bigger so making them rear-facing takes up a lot of space. Furhtermore, you can't put a convertible in a shopping cart. you have to get baby out.
My friend had another popular brand that did not have easily adjustable shoulder straps that the Chicco does and the straps were shorter so she had to get a new seat sooner.
Its a great seat. Well worth the extra $30.

This seat is WONDERFUL! It is extremely easy to use and a very safe seat. As a Certified Passenger Safety Technican this seat has always been one of the easiest to install into vehicles for new parents. I always felt the parents were going to be able to use the seat correctly each and every time, which is not always the case with other seats. The higher weight limit on this seat allows the child to stay rear facing longer, which pediatricans and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration now recommends. I was reading one reviewers comment and she said it did not fit into the center latch. Most cars DO NOT have (lower anchors) latch in the center back seat. Please read your car manual to see where your lower anchors are located. Most cars have them in the outer seats. So if you do put the car seat in the middle and use the latch system you are connecting it to TWO different lower anchors which could hinder the performance of the seat.

As a new parent, I knew this was the seat for me! So easy to install with latch on the outer back seat and the seat belt in the middle back seat. Such an easy transer from car to stroller. LIke another reviewer said it does not click into shopping carts, but I will just put the seat in the shopping cart and that works just fine! My one complaint is that the seat is a little heavy. Nothing unmanageable, but it will work out those arms!

I would and have recommended this seat to many many friends and family. You can rest assured that if installed and used correctly... your precious cargo will be safe in this seat!

I bought this car seat for my son when he was 5 months old. He had outgrown his previous infant car seat. The base that goes with this seat is very sturdy. The seat is roomier as he is 15 pounds and 25 inches long. Everyone says that their babies always get so sweaty in this seat, I have not experienced this at all. The seat is a little heavy, but with a fifteen pound baby in it, anything will be heavy. Had I known how great this seat was, I would've never wasted my money on the travel system that I did buy. I am also going to buy the double that matches the car seat.

Super light, easy to use with the stroller just a couple issues the latch system doesn't work in the middle of the seats where you are suppose to put the baby. At least it doesn't in our new Traverse, the latch isn't long enough to connect like it is suppose to AND the seat belt doesn't keep it as tight as it should. The shade doesn't cover far enough either, there is sun all up in my baby's face. Also, I suppose it isn't suppose to go on shopping carts, so if you are buying it thinking you will place it on the shopping cart and go shopping like all the other people out there are surprise you can't it doesn't have the grooves like the others to place it in the cart so you can go shopping.

Our child is in the 75% percentile at 8 months and still fits in this comfortably. When we first had it checked by the fire department, it was one of the few seats they did not have to add a foam bar to. A little heavy, but worth it for the added safety. I love this car seat: it's gender neutral and fits large babies, and is very easy to adjust. My only issue is that my son's shoulders are a little too smushed, but he's a very large baby. The seat is also very heavy with him in it. Makes it very hard for quick trips to the store but I am willing to sacrifice that for his safety. i loved this carseat! we used it for the whole first year of my son's life. it is super easy to use. it is actually more light-weight then some of the other carseats out there, but it does get heavy once your child hits the 20 pound mark! i'm not sure why some people have had problems with it being too hot for their baby. we live in a very hot area (100+ days regularly in the summer) and my son never sweated in the carseat (i use the air conditioner and wouldn't dress him in a jacket though, so maybe that had something to do with it?). also, i just want to mention that NO infant carseat is made to fit on the top of a shopping cart! they were not designed for that and it's not safe. i use to just put the carseat IN the shopping cart (or use the matching stroller). but anyway, this is a great carseat and from my research one of the safest out there!

While this carseat has some nice features, I wouldn't get it again knowing what I do now.
It is easy to use, both the act of moving it on and off the base, even in a coupe. The latch system is nice with the pull cord to tighten. My husband doesn't complain about using the seatbelt attachment with his older car. It is also very helpful to have the one-touch adjustable shoulder strap tightness. Sometimes you need to tweek that when the baby is wearing something more or less bulky than average. The leveling bubble is nice, too. My son is 12 months, 19 pounds and 29.5 inches and still in it, but I can't wait to get rid of it because...

... MY BABY SWEATS HORRIBLY IN THIS SEAT!!! Even on the shortest trips, the back of his head is soaked. I know I live in hot and humid Orlando, but we just had a record cold winter and he was sweating in it then, too.
Also, the CANOPY is not sufficient enough to cover the baby well from sun, rain, etc. It should extend further.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO USE THIS SEAT ON THE TOP PORTION OF A SHOPPING CART. My mistake. I thought it was a universal feature in this day and age for them to fit there. My baby almost tipped out of the cart! If you shop a lot with your baby and plan to take them into the store in the seat, this is not the seat for you.

This carseat is amazing we just love it. It fit the twins perfectly at 4 lbs each. It was super easy to install it only took about 2 minutes to install. We have had this car seat for 8 months. We love it!

1. Very safe. When my son was three months old, we got into a pretty serious accident. The front and side airbags were all deployed upon impact. When my car finally came to a stop, I went to the backseat to check on him, he looked sound and safe as if nothing had happened. Later, I had him checked out by his doctor. No injuries at all, thanks to this car seat and that he was in the middle of the backseat. Had he been on the driver or passenger side, he might have been hurt. Remember -- keep your child in the middle!

2. Easy to install. It took us less than 5 minutes to put it in. My husband had helped his friends installing Peg Perrego car seats -- this one is by far the easiest to install.

3. Easy to use. The belts and handle are very easy to adjust. Taking the seat in and out the car is a breeze.

Although I gave it five stars, there are two issues:

1. In retrospect, I am not sure if this Keyfit 30 is necessary. When I bought it, I thought with the higher weight limit (compared to the 22 lbs limit on the regular Keyfit carseat), I would be able to keep him in the seat longer. But my son is 22lbs/29in at 8 months old, the car weighs about 9 lbs., and together they weigh more than 30 lbs. It has becoming more and more difficult to carry car seat with him in it. At 22lbs/29inc, he is almost at the height limit but far from the weight limit. I realized that most babies reach the height limit way before the weight limit. If I had to buy another infant car seat, I would purchase the regular Keyfit. It has a limit of 22 lbs and 30 inches, and it is cheaper, probably lighter too.

2. There are no belt clips on the sides to hold the belts out of the way when you put the baby in. I wish the manufacturer would consider adding them so that babies would have to seat on the buckles when they are being put in.

Overall, we think it is a great car seat

I absolutely love this car seat! I got it because it was one of the safest rated car seats on the market. The base is extremely easy to install in any car. It is the easiest latch system to adjust to make sure it is secure. I love the headreast and the newborn inseert they both hug my daughter and keep her comfortable. It does get a little heavy if you have to carry it for a bit, but I think all of the infant car seats are like that. This is a very user friendly car seat and I would recommend it to everyone.

This is a great carseat overall. The base is easy to install/uninstall, the fabric cover on the seat washes well and because it's heavy it makes it seem safer than others. It's a great price considering that is does have some additions that less expensive seats don't have, like the strap covers and infant head and body support cushions. These are items that w/other seats, most people would end up buying seperately.

My only complaint is about the weight of the seat. Now that my daughter is 1 and still weighs under 20 lbs, she's still in this seat. It's heavy to carry the seat w/her in it, so I've been leaving it in my car and strapping her in from there. Not as convenient, but definitely still manageable.

We have a secondary seat that we borrowed for our 2nd car (Graco) and it just does not seem to measure up in any way, reagardless of the cost difference. That seat was used for 1 year w/another child and didn't wear as well as the Chicco, much lighter-weight which makes it seem less safe in an accident, much less cushion on the seat-cover and just not as nice-looking. Our daughter just doesn't seem as comfortable in the Graco. I would absolutely buy this seat again and have been 100% happy w/it!

MY HUSBAND LOVED THIS DESIGN BECAUSE IT WAS NEUTRAL AND EVENTUALLY TALKED ME INTO GETTING IT (I WANTED SOMETHING LESS GUY-ISH) FOR OUR NEWBORN DAUGHTER. BUT BOY AM I GLAD WE DIDNT GET ANYTHING ESE. I LOVE THE COLOR, NEVER GET SICK OF IT.

ONLY FLAW, IT'S A BIT HEAVY. BUT DEFINITELY STURDY AND DURABLE. I WILL USE IT FOR ANY FUTURE KIDS. CALL ME OLD'SCHOOL BUT I THINK IT'S HEAVIER BECAUSE IT'S SAFER. BUT DEF HARD TO CARRY AROUND IF YOUVE GOT A PURSE AND DIAPER BAG IN YOUR HANDS TOO.

LOVE THE HANDLE TO ATTACH TOYS, AND THE ABILTY TO ADJUST TO HAVE STATIONARY (NO ROCKING) WHEN NEEDED. USED IT RIGHT OUT OF THE HOSPITAL TILL NOW CURRENTLY AT 5 MONTHS OLD.

WOULD DEF RECCOMMENT BECAUSE MATCHING STROLLER IS AWESOME.

the carseat is great in looks and features. but shopping was inconvenient because this carseat doesnt have the bottom cutouts like most carseats do to accomodate the shopping cart. i had to always put my baby inside the shopping cart and it took up a ton of space leaving no shopping room it also always rocked in the cart which made it bumpy for the baby.

This car seat was so easy to install. It didn't take more than a couple minutes. The seat is a little heavy, but really aren't they all?! My only problem is that it seems our daughter will grow out of this way before her first birthday. She was 27" long at 6 months...so with the 30" length limit I fear we will be buying a new seat sooner than we thought, which makes me sad because I love this seat!

We love this car seat! The quality is unmatched! It's extremely easy to get in and out of the car and the adjustable straps are a breeze to loosen and tighten. The fabric resists stains and is easy to clean. Very user-friendly. I think has been a good car seat overall. The fact that it comes with the infant supports, strap covers, and the cold weather cover were great plusses for us, since most carseat manufacturers will not let you install outside products or it voids the warranty. Also, it is super easy to clean, and seems to have held up very well in the 5 months that we have used it. However, if you read the product manual, you are not able to use the Key Fit 30 on babies that are over 30 inches tall (so to MommaDez who has stated that she is using it for her son who is 10 months and 40 inches tall should really be getting her son into a new carseat). The height requirement is the same for both the KeyFit 30 and the KeyFit infant, so the only benefit of spending the extra money for the KeyFit30 is the extra weight. However, since our daughter is only 5 months old and already is 26 inches, but only 14.5 lbs. (95th percentile for her height, 75th for her weight), we will be reaching the height requirement way before we reach the 30 lb. weight requirement. I anticipate having to get a new carseat before her next well baby checkup, and for the money we spent I was hoping that I would be getting more use out of this carseat than only 6 months. If you are like my husband and I, and are going to have to purchase 2 carseats (one for each car) after your child grows out of the infant car seat, your money would be better spent just putting it toward two convertible car seats from the get-go. I wish we would have.

I tried out all all the top rated seats in store and found this one to be the most comfortable to carry with the easiest chest buckle to maneuver. great car seat. its so easy to use and buckle. my son was very cozy and safe. we bought two of the bases, one for each car, and it worked great. the only issue was if the car seat is tilted to one side or the other, it won't tighten properly but once centered, it tightened perfectly. i highly recommend:)

These comments about the car seat being too small are ridiculous! My son is 10 months, 40 inches tall and 23 lbs and he fits in the seat wonderfully. He is over the 75th percentile in both height and weight, and has been since he was born.

Also, this car seat doesn't fit on the front of a shopping cart ON PURPOSE, it is dangerous for your baby (your doctor will tell you the same).

This seat is EXTREMELY easy to use. I would absolutely buy it again.

Worked great for the first 6 months, then at 18-20 lbs had to swap over to Britax for room. Plus the seat itself is heavy and then throw in a 20 lb baby and its excruiating to carry. Pleased with it for the short time we used it. Very safe. Disappointed the time wasnt longer though.

Major drawback of this car seat is that it doesn't fit in most shopping carts. I can't use it with shopping carts at my grocery store or at [...]. The base is too wide and it doesn't have the same indention that other car seats have. Other than that complaint the car seat works great and looks great. But I wouldn't buy it again and wouldn't recommend it because of that inconvenience.

We purchased this car seat for our newborn. By the time she was 2 months old we had to take the extra padding out because she was smushed in like a sardine and very uncomfortable. After about a month without the padding, we ran into the same problem. She hardly fit. This seat is just too darn small. It says it can accomadate up to 30lbs..not true! My daughter is 5.5 months (19lbs) and we have to purchase a new seat. It is beyond narrow by the shoulders and extreemly uncomfortable...everytime my daughter goes in it she screams! My sister in law purchased one for my nephew around the same time we did and she had the same issues. If your baby is a little bigger than average, this is not the car seat for you.

I spent more time researching infant car seats than all other baby preparations put together. I was assured that it was a great car seat since it was Consumer Reports top pick.
I own an older explorer and my husband drives a full size truck with 4-doors. The seat fitted easily into the back of our rigs. The base is incredibly easy to use, for LATCH and shoulder/lap belt vehicles.
There were some trepidation from other parents about the seat being "too hot". My son is hot-bodied and I live in a desert and it did not overheat my son.
Also, since this is a carseat for infants up to thirty pounds, yes it is going to be heavier. My son is almost a year and 21 pounds, but it is still easier lugging him around in that seat than trying to put him in a rear-facing convertable seat. Plus the infant seat is so much more comfortable.
Another bonus, albeit a superficial one, is that I get numerous complements on what a nice carseat I have. It is very chic, and gender-neutral. I will definately use this seat for my next child. It has endured much use well.

I did extensive research on car seats before I settled on the Chicco KeyFit 30. After testing many other brands and models out, it was clear that overall, this car seat had them beat.

For starters, the fabric was far superior to any of the Graco seats, which felt chintzy and uncomfortable. Second, the ingenious engineering of the base and the way it finds the "sweet spot" when you're clicking your baby in is the best! There's no fumbling around trying to get it to fit, it slides right in and does the work for you.

My only complaint would be that the canopy is too short, even with the extendable visor overhead. I always have to bring a blanket with me to shield my baby from the sun and it doesn't function when you try to pull the canopy in the forward position.

Still, it gets 5 stars from me for safety and ease of use, which is way more important!!

I like this car seat, but once installed you can't even drive your car because you have to put the seat all the up. I have a full sized sedan, and twins. My husband and I cannot go anywhere together with the babies (never mind all 3 kids) because it is impossible to drive or ride with these seats behind us. Make sure you can sit comfortably in you car with these seats before it's too late to retun them. May work better with an SUV or tractor trailor;)

We have been using this seat for about 8 months and absolutely love it. My daughter seems to be very comfortable in the seat and NEVER throws a fit about being in it in the car or when I use it with the stroller. It is very easy to install and move from car to car (even without purchasing an extra base). I noticed many parents say that it "doesn't fit the shopping carts"....well hello you aren't supposed to be putting your baby on top of the shopping cart anyway. I guess this is just a non-issue for me because I think that is dangerous no matter what type of car seat you have. I have been extremely satisfied with the Chicco products.

LOVE this carseat. It's made me a "brand snob" and when my twins come it's what I'll be using for them as well. I've seen other infant seats and they just seem flimsy compared to this.

And as far as "hearing more clicks" while driving, as a parent you should DOUBLE CHECK ANY CAR SEAT before taking off. Not just this one. This one just clicks so you know that you didn't check it and it wasn't entirely locked in. If you put it in the base, and the rock the seat by pushing down and pulling up on both ends then it locks into place just fine, and the "problem" is solved. And I don't need a carseat that fits in a cart because that's a safety hazard anyways. Chicco purposely made it so they didn't fit well.

My 21lb. son doesn't fit in this car seat comfortably when he's wearing a winter jacket. It is extremely hard to buckle him in. It gets very cold here and a blanket doesn't always work. In the fall when he was wearing an extra sweater, it was hard to get him buckled up as well.

I got this carseat based on excellent recommendations among other parents. I chose this neutral color as for my 1st baby because I want to be able reuse it for another baby in case if I have a boy. I have a girl and it's very easy to set up. I'm giving it 4 stars because I live in the southern CA and the winter is about 50 to 60 degrees. I don't really dress my daughter warmly because the carseat does keep her warm. One time, I overdressed her (Two layers of onesies) and she was sweaty. I don't recommend if you put a heavy blanket nor two layers of clothes if you're going out for a walk or shopping or things like that. Remember, buildings have heat. It holds up to 30 pounds and I think my daughter will probably use it until she's about 2 years old since she's a petite baby.

We chose this carseat so that we can use it for longer than other carseats will work. We like the styling of the carseat/travel system, we chose the cubes design. What I don't like is that this carseat doesn't fit in many shopping carts which makes it difficult especially with a newborn! I have to choose where I take the baby based on who has a cart that her carseat will fit in! Also, the carseat is so large that it barely fits in our suv let alone our compact car! (it only fits in the middle of our Ford Focus while both front seats are adjusted nearly all the way to the front) Not sure if we would have registered for this product again, especially based on the high price compared to other models.

We have a 4 month old baby and I absolutely love this seat!! It's easy to get in and out of the base and stroller. The stroller closes up very easily even though it takes up tons of room in the trunk. I really like the the quick adjustable straps, they make getting baby in and out sooo easy. I also like the newborn insert that protects the baby's head (don't need to buy something seperate!) I'd recommend this seat to anyone. I do have a few problems getting the seat to fit in shopping carts and wish the sun visor was a bit longer.

We have a 2 month old and so far we love this car seat. It seems well built and durable. This is something I wouldn't go cheap on, cause it's your babies life! Our baby sleeps well in it too. You don't even need to buy anything to put in it when they are a newborn, cause it supports their head well. I bought extra padding and ended up taking it back cause the padding it comes with is a lot better. It's a little heavy, but I think all car seats are. The visor is the only bad part. It doesn't do anything to protect them from the sun, but it's not that big of a deal.

This is my favorite item that I received off of my registry as it is so easy to use. Cleans with a damp cloth, and I love the sun visor that pulls out, great for outdoor activities like the zoo. It clicks quickly in and out of its base in the car and in/out of the matching stroller as well. My husband and I were wondering if loading up would take a lot of effort and time since we are first time parents, but I would recommend this in a heartbeat to anyone who is intimidated by all those "boat" sized seats and strollers out there. Get the matching light weight stroller that fits in my tiny Civic's trunk - totally worth it!

I got this car seat two years ago before my son was born. We absolutely love it. There is not one negative thing I can say about it. The LATCH system works great in my Honda CR-V, the straps are a breeze to adjust, and the fabric washes well in the washing machine. The best part is that it goes up to 30 lbs. My son was a petite infant and we used this car seat with him until he was 14 months old. At that time, he was a bit tall for the seat, but it was just way too convenient because he would fall asleep in the car and we'd carry him inside without waking him up, even at 14 months! I recommend this car seat to all my friends. We will now be using it with our second baby.

I picked out this carseat while i was pregnant with my 3rd child because in the past 7 years i have become a carseat guru..lol....... for our first daughter we had a saftey first which we hated then for our second daughter we had a graco which was great except it stuck in the base a bit and my daughter outgrew it quickly. This time i wanted something safe,comfortable and that would fit my baby for a while. This carseat has done that I love the infant padding, and the padding in the seat itself. The base fits perfectly with the latch which i discovered has a trick to making it tighter........you have to pull it towards the vehicle seat when tighting it so u can get all the extra material through if you pull it towards the front of the car it doesnt tighten at all. This carseat is great and my son sleeps in it all the time and is content in the car......I know it doesnt fit on a shopping cart but you really are not supposed to put any infant carrier on those because they are not made to hold infant seats other than the ones that have them already or the newer carts that have the bench seat and directions for buckling an infant carrier in. a sling solves that problem perfectly and its better for your baby to be out of the carseat for that amount of time.
