Lightweight Strollers

Baby strollers are one of the best vehicles for babies and toddlers. They carry not only your baby but your stuff also.A lightweight stroller is ideal to travel with. These kind of strollers are best for urban dwellings. It is very difficult to manage with the conventional ones due to its weight, while moving from one mode of mass transport to other. The light weight stroller is not that bulky or heavy to transport. So it can be managed with ease. The worse side of this stroller is his life. These strollers are not that durable and it is not built for all terrains and moving on the rough surface may prove to be difficult.

Pretty good stroller. Only a clip on cup holder for mom which is a bit of a bummer...especially if you have a husband and more kids. The mesh storage underneath is useless if the seat is all the way down like when using it for the carrier.

Comments about Chicco Trevi Stroller Fuego:
I have used this stroller for about 18mo and think it was a great buy for the money. I'm not sure why there are so many bad reviews on this product but I think it serves its purpose.

What I like:
umbrella style (more compact)
cup holder/ tray for baby
fits chicco carseats
auto lock when folded
5-point buckle
pouch for keys/ phone or other small stuff

What I would change
Sun Shade (its small but I knew that b4 I bought it)
adult cupholder (needs to have a better system to stay on)

Ok so lets talk about function, this stroller is good for everyday use (mall, park, short walks...and so on) Not for long day trips (where you would need to bring alot of stuff). I also don't recomend airport use...It was easy to put thru the xray machine but I couldn't find a protective cover for it and the airport staff tore it apart :( On the bright side the store I bought it at had a great 30day return policy and gave me an exchange for free :)

The fabric has been easy to spot clean with mild soap and water. I havent had any problems with the wheels sticking but for those who have I would a)check to see that the lock isn't on, b)make sure the child isn't using them as a foot rest.

This stroller is a good option for those who want the umbrella type stroller but want extra features.
Note for those who have small trunk space this may not be a good option as the stroller folded is still long.

Love this stroller!

Only 2 stars?? I totally disagree with the negative reviews on this stroller. After much research for that "perfect" stroller" (no such thing of course), this came very close. It has all the features I needed for me and for my toddler - easy to maneuver and far back recline, comfortable seat, leg rest, snack tray, ample basket space that is easily accessible, high and comfortable handles, great canopy for sun protection, great wheels and the color is beautiful. Folds easily and fits nicely in the trunk of my car. Highly recommended.

Comments about Chicco Trevi Stroller Fuego:
Ive used alot of strollers and this ones just OK.
Heres a few things I didnt like:
The cup holder is a joke! pops off easily and sits on a tilt, anything in it would fall out or spill.
The hood is constantly popping off and needs to be snapped back in place
Its HEAVY I wouldnt reccomend if needing to carry it alot.
When its closed it has a snap that keeps if from reopening which is nice but when trying to open it with a baby/toddler in your arms its difficult.
The basket is impossible to get to when in recline position
Im not so sure i like the 5 point harness for a stroller
Takes up ALOT of room in my trunk, almost doesnt fit.

What i like is:
Its not as bulky as a full size stroller
manuvers well
I love the pocket in the back
the recline positioning is easy to use

So happy I took the chance!

Comments about Chicco Trevi Stroller Fuego:
I was hesitant to spend so much money on a smaller stroller, especially with the questionable reviews, but I wanted something smaller thn my jogging stroller that would fit the chicco keyfit car seat and continue to be useful as my little one gets older.

This is the perfect middle ground between a full size stroller and an umbrella stroller. Keeping that in mind, your expectations should fall in the middle.
Compared to an umbrella stroller, the trevi folds down larger, is heavier, and has more storage space, including a cup holder and a tray for the baby. However, compared to a full size stroller, the trevi folds down smaller, is lighter, doesn't have as much storage space or a tray for the parent.

To speak to some of the critical reviews:
-the front wheels have a locking mechanism for when you are going over rocky/uneven ground to keep the wheels from turning sideways. If you keep them locked, it will be hard to turn!
-the cup holder and shade have to be snapped onto particular places where they stay on best. I keep the stroller in the back of my car and use it (fold and unfold) almost every day, I've only had trouble with these coming undone once ( I didn't have them attached correctly.

One other thing I love about this stroller is that I can put my average-sized 4 month old in it without using his carseat! The straps are VERY adjustable!

i got this stroller to use as my travel system because it was smaller than the cortina. it folds like an umbrella stroller and convenient to travel with. when my son was about 4 months old i started using the stroller without the carseat. the 5 point harness is perfect. i can lay him flat if he wants to eat or take a nap.

Comments about Chicco Trevi Stroller Fuego:
A lot of research when into the purchase of this stroller. It is a wonderful product! It is compatable with the Chicco KetFit30 carseat and is not bulky like other travel systems. And after my little one out grows her carseat I can still use it as a toddler stroller. Easily manuverable with one hand and very light weight. Easy to fold and unfold. I drive a Mini Cooper. Folded this stroller will fit! I've recommended this stoller to many of my first time mom (FTM) friends. And the back reclines down to a laying position so if my 3-month-old wants to lay flat while napping she can!

Comments about Chicco Trevi Stroller Fuego:
After an exhausting search for the perfect stroller we bought this one in the extreme color last summer. I really liked that it is lighter weight, works with the carseat and has an umbrella fold. Realizing that there is no "perfect" stroller, we knew there were a few cons to this one: small basket that's not accessible with the carseat in it, 2 handles (I'd rather have 1, but the umbrella fold feature makes it worth it), handles are not height adjustable (more of an issue for my 6ft husband, but he's gotten used to it) and the small canopy. The canopy was just fine when we used it with the carseat and now I have an aftermarket canopy that I keep in the storage basket to use if we're going into the sun and it works fine. I really don't store much else in the basket, I usually hang my diaper bag from the handles and have never had any problems with that. I don't have any problems with the wheels or turning, the front wheels are made to swivel or lock which helps on rough surfaces, so maybe some people don't know to unlock them. The only time we've had the cupholder come off was when we checked it on an airplane, I had to call Chicco and order a new one [...] and I know now to remove it before our next flight. I also have no problems folding it with one hand, though you need 2 hands to unfold it. Overall we have been happy with this stroller and I would recommend it.

Comments about Chicco Trevi Stroller Fuego:
I love that the wheels are large and that the storage basket is a great size for a compact stroller. Folds and unfolds easily, but is pretty heavy for a compact. I think it is equally as heavy as my chicco cortina. I like that you can put the infant seat in it and the handles are very cushy. Love that it has a snack tray. Sunshade isnt big, but it is the average size for an umbrella stroller. I like that the sunshade has the clear plastic peice to extend the coverage on the very front of the shade. Love that the leg rest is ajustable and that it reclines far back, not just a couple of inches. I am 5 foot 9 and i somewhat kick the wheels if im not paying attention, but thats pretty normal for compact strollers and my height. I cant figure out how to take the padding off to wash it, im not sure if you can...but i am looking into it. The wheels are pretty hard to manuever, but if you WD40 them up it is a lot better. Overall, its a good stroller - could be better, but nothing is perfect!

Comments about Chicco Trevi Stroller Fuego:
I bought this stroller for my 1st child in 2008 along with the car seat because the Cortina seemed too heavy for my 5'0" frame. I have been able to push the stroller 1-handed with my child on one hip. The basket is small and the sunshade doesn't do much for coverage. Overall, I've been very happy with the maneuverability, compactness, and ease of use of this stroller. I still use it for my 27 month old (who is small for his age- 26 lbs). Wish it had a 1-handed fold though. The toddler tray is nice, but when I hit a bump or go up a curb, the cup tends to fall out.

Great Stroller

Comments about Chicco Trevi Stroller Fuego:
I bought this stroller in Miro print about six months ago. My husband recently left it at the park by accident and needless to say we lost it. We were both heartbroken as we really loved this stroller, so I'm buying it again in the red (Fuego). I was surpised to read some of the reviews as I really liked this stroller. It was lighweight, easy to fold, and was one of the only strollers on the market that had the great handles (my husband is tall so the straigh bar handle is too short for him) and a front bar with cup holder/snack holder. I also really liked the extended seating area that is adjustable for my one year old so his little legs didn't have to dangle down (too small to reach the footrest just yet). The only downsides were that the umbrella is not the biggest and doesn't cover well, but then again, in my big graco with the big umbrella my son always pushes it away as he wants to be able to see. So I don't really see that as a big deal. Same with the basket size, for a small lightweight stroller you can't really expect a huge basket. It's big enough for a small shopping trip and the handles are also great if you want to hang your purse or diaper bag. I loved this stroller in enough to buy the same thing again. I would recommend it.

Comments about Chicco Trevi Stroller Fuego:
As I read the other reviews for this stroller, I have to say that I am a bit surprised. I am not sure if Chicco has updated this item since all of these negative reviews but I will say that I have not had any issues with mine as of yet. I love having the ability to put my Keyfit into it as a travel system with it not being as bulky as the Cortina. The color is amazing! So bright and beautiful.

Granted, it did take a few times of practicing setting it up and taking it down but once you figure it out its not so tough. It is not as small as an umbrella stroller but not as bulky as a full size travel system stroller. If you are expecting it to be a featherlight stroller, this is not the one for you.

I have also not had any issues with the wheels not being cooperative. Like I said, I am not sure if this something that Chicco has corrected since the prior reviews. I love this stroller!

Comments about Chicco Trevi Stroller Fuego:
i bought this stroller in the extreme color and at first it was great but then it just seemed to go downhill from there. it is very hard to turn and manuver and after putting our diaper bag (which is no where near heavy) on the back handles the front end wheels started to not stay on the ground. i dont think its capable of holding anything semi heavy in the storage or hang any bags from the handles. It also steered to the right all the time. storage is small in this thing. only good thing about it is that it folds up small but thats about it.

The worse stroller ever. Although I bought it and was excited to use it, it turned to be the worst stroller. Very hard to move and can not operate with one hand. Very poor quality. I also have the car seat which is ok but the stroller is really bad. I suggest you invest more money and buy expensive stroller since you will need one for a few years.

Comments about Chicco Trevi Stroller Fuego:
I can manuever the stroller fine but the canopy and storage underneath is a joke. My baby gets no protection from the sun. I had to buy an extension for the canopy. The canopy also comes apart all the time. My daughter is on the tall side and she will not be able to use the straps in the stroller. The straps are too tight and cannot be adjusted anymore. We will have to buy another stroller. This was a total waste of money.

Comments about Chicco Trevi Stroller Fuego:
we originally bought this stroller b/c we wanted to downsize from the Travel System. I have a sports car and needed something easier to fit in my trunk and something smaller for the stores. When we put it together, and used it, it pulled to the right. They sent us parts twice and it never fixed itself. So we gave up. Now, it is hard to turn. We still like the size of it. Heavy Duty yet small enough to maneuver. The shade shouldn't even be there, it does absolutely nothing! And the cup holder for mommy or daddy, pops off every time you close the stroller! The basket underneath hold maybe a small purse, or a little diaper bag, but other than that, forget it! I would have recommended this stroller at first, but now, I don't. We are very unhappy with it. And we haven't even had it a year.

TERRIBLE STROLLER

Comments about Chicco Trevi Stroller Fuego:
My husband and I bought this stroller because we wanted a nice stroller that was compact enough to take on trips. We spent days researching online and looking at stores. We loved this one because it was a sturdier stroller that could fold down and fit nicely in the back of a car. However, when using it, we realized that the canopy is TINY and doesn't block any sun unless the child is reclined. We end up having to unhook the shade and fixing it up to loosely drape over. Within a couple months of owning it, it is also horrible to steer. We are unable to steer it one handedly and are always having to push it quite forcefully to get the right front wheels to unstick and move in the right direction. We are very unhappy with this stroller and only continue to use it because we aren't ready to spend another couple of hundred dollars on another stroller!

I have had this stroller for about 4 months, and in that time A wire(which was eye level) had ripped through the visor. The visor is to small and allows alot of light. The basket is way to small and cannot be accessed unless the seat is fully adjusted upright. It is also a little confusing to close. I like the colors and it rides ok.

Comments about Chicco Trevi Stroller Fuego:
NICE SIZE AND WEIGHT BUT IT IS NOT GOOS FOR OUTDOORS. THE SHADE IS TOOOOO SHORT AND IS ALWAYS A PROBLEM WITH SUN LIGHT, I ALWAYS HAVE TO BRING SOMETHING TO SOMEHOW HANG OVER IT AND MAKE IT WORK, VERY DISSAPOINTED ABOUT THAT BECAUSE MOST OF THE TIME I USE IT OUTDOORS. I WISH CHICCO MADE LIKE AN EXTENSION YOU COULD ADDAPT TO THE EXISTING ONE OR SOMETHING. I THINK THERE ARE BETTER STROLLERS OUT THERE.

Good, basic stroller for travel system
4 stars
11/08/2009 by PAmom09, Southeastern,PA

Comments about Chicco Trevi Stroller Fuego:
I received this stroller as a baby shower gift 8 months ago. I had originally put it on my registry b/c I wanted a travel system but found the other Chicco stroller to bee too heavy and bulky and they did not handle as easily. This seemed to fit the bill. So far, we have been on one long road trip, 10 short ones and two plane rides and this stroller and carseat combo were perfect! The stroller is lightweight and pretty basic so if you are looking for lots of bells and whistles or a stroller that you can push with one finger, look elsewhere. If you are practical and looking for something basic and functional in a stroller, you should be very pleased with this stroller. It handles much better than the Chicco Cortina (the wheels move better and are bigger) and folds down well for the trunk of a small car. It will never be a basic umbrella stroller but serves a great purpose if you want to go a little more than umbrella but don't want the bulk or hassle of a full size travel system stroller. It might take a little getting used to as it folds down a little trickier than a basic umbrella stroller. That and the fact that the basket is small are the only reasons I gave it 4 and not 5 stars. My daughter loves riding in this stroller and we have never had a problem with the shade even with all the traveling and outdoor activities we went to this past summer. Chicco has been very helpful as well when we called about the foam handles that had a "slice" down the one side - they sent new ones without a single problem and were very helpful on the phone! I highly recommend this stroller for ease of use, serves the basic purpose of a stroller and stow's nicely on planes, commuter trains and trunks of small cars.

Huge Dissappointment, Poor Quality
1 stars
10/25/2009 by Northern VA Mom, Vienna,VA

Comments about Chicco Trevi Stroller Fuego:
I purchased this stroller just over a year ago and have contacted Chicco with my frustrations. I bought this stroller when my son was 1 1/2 years old thinking it would be a lighter weight stroller that had the qualities of a full size stroller. Initially, it was easy to maneuver but has increasingly become more difficult and not stable feeling. This stroller is heavy and feels like it is straining to stay closed when I pull it in and out of my car. It creaks, I have had to WD-40 the wheels so they don't squeel, the fabric is torn at the seam, the foam handles have not stood up well, the basket is small (but I can deal with that). And to put the icing on the cake, the foot rest strip has torn completely off one side and is starting to tear in the same spot on the other side as it just hangs. Chicco informed me the foot rest is not a repairable/replaceable part....So the stroller is now useless. This stroller is VERY poorly made!

Very Disappointed, Not a Good Value

Comments about Chicco Trevi Stroller Fuego:
I was very excited to buy this product but it didn't take long to become very diappointed about my purchase. This stroller is just not a great value for the money I paid for it. Not only had I heard such great things about Chicco products but I was also eager to trade down to something less bulky and more lightweight than my Graco Metrolite stroller system due to the fact that I travel A lot by many means (car, airplane, etc.) very frequently alone with my son. Because I sometimes end up out and about during nap times, I love the fact that it still reclines completely and with a sturdy latch unlike most others in the array of lightweight strollers I have seen. And it still does have a great amount of room in the basket underneath. Other than that I am very disappointed in the mini-sized canopy which provides absolutely no protection or shade from the sun whatsoever due not only to its size but also because it has a window on it that provides no flap to cover it. My biggest gripe is that it handles TERRIBLE. I need two hands at all times to push it otherwise it veers easily to one side and the front wheels often get stuck when coming to a stop and trying to proceed again or when I attempt to make a turn with it or even when going straight. It folds up almost as compact as an inexpensive umbrella stroller which is a plus however it takes two hands and a foot to open, one hand to unfasten the latch and the other to pull open by the handles and a forcefully foot to push down on a peddle and lock it open. Closing requires less effort, just a step on a little peddle and a tug on a pull handle in the back. I actually have gone back and forth between this stroller and a cheap $25 unmbrella stroller and I now find I prefer the umbrella stroller more. Again, I feel so disappointed in this purchase and feel I would not recommend it to anyone.
