Carriers

At a time when you are too busy at work, while you take care of their child, baby carriers are the best choice for you. Baby carriers can be either belt-on models or in wraps. They can be used for children from ages 6 months to four years of age. As the weight of the child grows, baby carriers for older children are designed to lessen the pressure on the spine. There are many types of baby carriers available outside the market. But there should be a soft top carrier for you.Usability of the carrier should be carefully considered. Model you are going to purchase should be easy to take on and off. Taking your child on and off should be an easy job. Otherwise, the carrier will be more of problems for you instead of comfort.

Comments about Columbia Baby Backpack With Ripstop Trim:
If you plan to use this as your main diaper bag - DO NOT GET THIS ONE. I love the compartments and everything about the bag except for the fact that in less than three months of daily use the stitching on the strap started fraying and exposing the foam on the straps. I thought with the name brand, and the price, I would get a great, durable product, but that was not the case at all. I also saw that they claim that the back is breathable, but it is definitely not. I have to take it off and hang it on the stroller or cart if we go somewhere or else it will make my back literally sweat.

Great looking bag, faulty zipper.

Comments about Columbia Baby Backpack With Ripstop Trim:
We were excited to get this diaper bag- both my husband and I could use it as it is very unisex in appearance. We packed it for the baby when we were on our way to the hospital- a baby outfit and some blankets. we didn't use the bottle compartment, but the zipper broke when we opened the compartment to look! I've contacted Columbia directly to inquire about a replacement bag. Since it's not available on their web site, I'm not sure what our options are going to be regarding this matter. I would probably NOT buy this bag again if they do not give us a replacement.

Best Bag You Can Find

Comments about Columbia Baby Backpack With Ripstop Trim:
We got this bag a year ago and have used it everyday! I can have my things and my son's all in one bag. The best part is that my husband doesn't mind holding the bag. It also clips on to your stroller handles so you don't have to put it in the basket.

Comments about Columbia Baby Backpack With Ripstop Trim:
This is the perfect diaper bag once your little one starts running...it allows you to have both arms free at all times! It is perfect for just about anywhere, and I can throw my wallet, gum, keys, and cell in it so I can be purse free.

The only thing I feel it is missing is an outside mesh pocket for easy sippy cup access, or for my own water bottle.

Comments about Columbia Baby Backpack With Ripstop Trim:
Fantastic, easy to use, Dad friendly backpack. Side compartment is insulated for bottles, food.(lining ripped after about 9 months, but still usable-- barely noticable) Large middle compartment is easy to throw things in, and easy to find things since there are zippers on both sides.

Great bag for dads. It looks like a regular, sporty Columbia bag. Easy to pack-up quick and the insulated compartment is great.

Comments about Columbia Baby Backpack With Ripstop Trim:
I have this bag in orange and it is the only diaper bag I've owned that I really love. It is big enough to store everything I need for a 4 month old and a 2yo, even on day trips to grandma's house about an hour away. I like the backpack style because it makes it feel more lightweight with the weight evenly distributed on my back, and it keeps my hands free for carrying the carseat in one hand and holding my toddler with the other. It has enough space for mommies of two children, but is in itself not too big to manage. I love this bag!

Don't waist your money!

Comments about Columbia Baby Backpack With Ripstop Trim:
I saw this diaper bag in the stores and thought it would be nice since it has several side compartments. I thought I would wait to get it since I had a coupon that would save some money at the end of the month. While thinking about the diaper bags while at [...] I thought to look at their bookbags since they have all their back to school supplies out. I found a great bookbag for 20 bucks at [...] that holds 10 times what this could with better colors and more compartments. I also got a free lunch bag with the bookbag that holds up to 3 11oz advant bottles, two stage 3 jars of baby food, and 3 ice packs. Save your money and just get a nice bookbag you can use for more then just a diaper bag.

Great Design, Won't Hold Up Forever

Comments about Columbia Baby Backpack With Ripstop Trim:
We got this bag as a shower gift when expecting our first. She's now 3 1/2 and, overall, the bag has done great. We're expecting again, and, unfortunately, do need to replace the bag because it's started to fall apart. The stitching on the top of the bag has come undone in the last 6 months. About 12 months ago, the thermal pocket started to separate at the lining. Also, one of the zip-top bags lost its zipper, so it can no longer be used.

However, I attribute most of this wear-and-tear to my then-toddler/now-preschooler getting into the bag. If one can keep the bag out of the hands of little ones, it will likely last longer. The main downside to this bag is the thermal pocket: I found that it couldn't hold both bottles and icepacks to keep breastmilk cold; not a lot of room in that particular pocket. For the most part, I could only get one bottle at a time in that pocket.

Now for the good points. I love the backpack feature. I have back problems and getting a diaper backpack (rather than a traditional bag) was a lifesaver for my back, especially while carrying a baby (and now, while pregnant). I also love the stroller straps -- extremely handy, especially while shopping. The other side pocket holds my cell phone, wallet, keys, checkbooks, a small box of crayons, pacifier, and even my child's immunization card (so I never forget it). All pockets and zippers are convenient and well-thought-out. The main compartment has tons of room for diapers, wipes, a change of clothes, and toys/books. The changing pad is a great plus -- fits in its pocket while still holding travel sized baby powder and diaper cream in its own little pockets. Easy to use, easy to keep organized. I will likely purchase this again -- we've been so satisfied with its form and function overall.
