Like many baby companies, Delta Children's Products was founded by a parent, in this case, a first-time father named Louis Shamie who found himself confronted with the challenges of parenting and filled with ideas on how to address them. In 1967, the company started out manufacturing baby gear that were all designed to be safe and comfortable for baby and convenient and affordable for parents and in 1984, nursery and children's furniture were added to the product line, which Delta is especially known for today. We offer Delta Children's Products cribs in various styles, including traditional, convertible, contemporary, sleigh and Mission, as well as in various finishes such as white, black, cherry and cider that are all non-toxic. We even have the Disney Enchanted Princess crib that Delta made for Disney - a lovely four-poster convertible crib with a ruffled canopy and gentle curves that are fit for a little princess. We also have Delta toddler beds and toy chests, some of which have popular kid's designs like SpongeBob, Dora, Disney and Sesame Street, as well as Delta strollers and bassinets.
If a chest of drawers has a counter and shelves on top, then it is often referred to as a hutch. If not, however, it is simply called a dresser.
Dressers are good alternatives to hutches and armoires, especially if you don't want to have large pieces of furniture in the nursery. These provide convenient storage, as well, for clothes and other essentials, while a lamp, milk bottles or stuffed toys can be placed on the surface. One thing you have to keep in mind, though, is that while the fact that its drawers can be easily opened may seem to be a good thing initially, this can pose a problem once your baby discovers them so you'll want drawers with locks or maybe install some safety devices so they don't close quickly when opened.
We offer a wide selection of dressers for the nursery. Some have only three or four drawers while others have five or six. They are available in different finishes, too, so they can be matched with the crib.
