We are very pleased with this product. We purchases it for our granddaughter who uses it from time to time and didn't want to invest a lot of money but still get something that is safe and easy to handle. We got that all that in this product. It's light weight yet sturdy and seems to be very comfortable for her. Securing it into our vehicle was easy and it will also be easy to convert next month when she is able to sit face forward. I would recomment this to anyone looking for car seat that they wouldn't be using 24/7 or for extreme long distance rides, but for Grandparents who get the opportunity to see their grandchildren every other week and need something for them to ride in and be safe.

We purchased this seat for our 6 month old son who was rapidly outgrowing his infant seat. We LOVE the fact that it can recline while rear-facing so when he falls asleep his head doesn't flop too far forward. He loves sitting in his seat and looking around like a "big boy." I love the colors, it feels cushiony, which is why we purchased this over another brand. It is a great seat for the price.

I bought this seat for my 2yr old. She is 24.4 lbs and about 32 in tall( she's kinda little she was a preemie) I use it in the rearfacing position and we love it. The seat is easy to install and easy to ajust. The padding is just right. She sits next to our 4 1/2 year old son who is still in a 5 pt harness in our dodge carivan(we have bench seats in the middle)and we have no problem with room. Its a great deal for the money!! We love it!! The only drawback is the seat's wieght limit is only 40 lbs. So we will have to get another higher weight limit harnessed seat when she is older(probly around age 5).

I would definitley recommend this product. I purchased two of these car seats, one for my car and one for our sitters car. They are very sturdy, easy to set up and fairly easy to install. My daughter outgrew her Snugride but we still wanted a nice rear facing seat. For the price you can't beat it! The only thing I don't care for is the buckle across the chest, it is a little hard to clip and unclip compared to the Snugride.

I bought a convertible carseat a few years ago that we paid a good amount of money for that seemed to have great features. What a waste!! The features were pretty useless and the straps constantly twist and the buckle is darn near impossible for anyone with less than a college degree to operate. Our youngest child recently turned one so I decided to buy 2 new convertible carseats, 1 for the youngest and one to replace the piece of junk we paid an arm and a leg for. Needless to say, we bought 2 of these Evenflo Tributes. They are wonderful! Nothing wasted on useless features, all the quality is in the part you actually use, the seat itself. I love them and who could pass up the price? The only thing I will say is that the detachable pillow does not come down far enough for me to use it with my infant who is just barely one. But the seat itself tilts far enough back (even in the front facing position) that his head doesn't really flop over and he doesn't really need it. Overall, great purchase!

We bought this so we could take our great-grandson to our home to babysit. It would also make it possible to pick him up from his regular sitter if necessary. We felt this seat was rated as a safe product and will last until he is old enough for a booster seat. It is easy to get him in and out of the seat and he is comfortable enough to fall asleep.

After looking at convertible seats for my 6-month-old infant who grew out of his carrier in a snap, I looked online to find something I liked, that would be for Grandma's car. When I looked at the store, I realized this model was not available except online, so we bought it and it is a very nice chair with good padding. The structure seems durable and holds him in comfortably and securely. The only tough thing with a rear-facing seat is making sure that you keep the seat level with the floor for an infant, which was a bit harder behind the passenger seat, but it is doable. I like that he will be able to use this for the next few years. For the price and being an extra seat, I think this was a great purchase.

This was our first convertible seat purchase due to the fact our 5 month old son outgrew his infant seat. Overall a great seat for the money....I recommend!

It says 1 hand release, definitly NOT the case. I'm hoping within a few weeks of constant use the buckle will become a little easier. Other then that I like it!

I bought this as an extra car seat for Grandma's house. I was pleasantly surprised by the padding- it looks a little cheap in the picture, but my son was very comfy and seemed to like how it "hugged" him. It was easy to install and lightweight as it was moved between Grandmas without any major struggles. The only thing that totally bad was the cheap cupholder- it's a piece of junk. Period. Thankfully- my son is still too little to reach it or even use it so I just threw it away- but don't buy this car seat thinking you're going to be getting a nice cupholder. Overall- it's a great seat- safe, light, soft, and easy to clean!!!

Lots of room for a child especially in the winter when they are all bundled up. Love it!

We were looking for something attractive and economical. We found it in this product. It was easy to set up and it is the perfect carseat for your infant who has outgrown their babyseat.
One word of caution, and this is on my part - no fault of the carseat - when you are snapping the lower harness, don't catch any baby leg between the harness and the latch, thereby pinching your baby's skin, because it is easy to do.
You will love this carseat, it looks expensive but isn't.
Great product for the price.

This is a great chair, but there are two things that I have issues with: the shoulder height for rear-facing is not high enough and the chair is a little more upright than I would like causing my son's head to kink pretty heavily when he falls asleep.
Overall it is a great chair though.

This car seat has everything and I calculated it out, it even is the best, has the most, for your dollar, compared to all the other car seats offered online at Walmart August 2009. No other car seat lasts from birth till 40 pounds plus has all the accessories, fold down cup holder,2 position recliner, 2 pillows, etc...and meets the safety standards, plus it is designed n tested for structural integrity at energy levels twice the federal crash test standards, all for $65! My 3 year old also fits this car seat, although we bought it for his brother who is 4 months. I'm picky I want the best for the least, this is the best for the least!

As far as the seat is concerned everything is fine.
The installation is ridiculous. We tried every possible setup given in the manual and our car owner manual, and could not get the seat to tighten up. With all the intellect in the world someone can come up with an easier way to fasten these down. Oh by the way, using a rolled up towel to level it, really now!!!!!!

Good Carseat

Comments about Evenflo Tribute Convertible Car Seat Brown Plaid:
We had a slightly older version of this carseat, and needed a second one for our other car, so we bought this new one 8+ months ago because we knew we liked the brand and style of this model. It is great for both rear-facing infant and front-facing older baby (after 12+ months). It is sturdy, easy to set up and install in the vehicle, and the fabrics seem quite durable. Overall it is comfortable, but we do notice that on very long car rides (more than 1 hr) we wish there was a tad more padding under the fabric. The headrest/pillow is a bit silly how it attaches, because it sways and doesn't stay in place, and our daughter moves it and plays with it now that she is older. I don't like the clasp that is used to make the two arm straps meet in the middle. The older version of this carseat had a sturdier plastic and the one strap slipped in to the hook to meet in the middle. The newer version (this version) of the carseat has a clasp that seems like it may break. We've had the carseat more than 7-8 months and the clasp hasn't broken, but it just doesn't FEEL durable or sturdy. We thought the cupholder is a silly "add-on" so we never used it or tried to see if it would work. The plastic on it looks flimsy and I wouldn't trust a drink in it for a toddler, but again, I can't say it actually has problems, because we never tried it. Okay, so back to the carseat as a whole, it is very nice, and quite affordable. It is great for how long it can be used (thru several stages of baby ages). Probably my final comment is that for a taller baby, I do sometimes wonder if they might outgrow the top setting for the shoulder straps before they outgrow the weight limit. Our 25 lb 18 mo old looks like she barely fits the top shoulder setting, and I don't know how many more months before she gets too tall. Maybe another parent of a toddler could comment on that issue. Anyhow, we do feel this was worth the money and was a great overall purchase. We have already been able to use this much lo
This is a really great car seat

Comments about Evenflo Tribute Convertible Car Seat Brown Plaid:
So far, I am very impressed with this carseat. Our daughter is 10 months old and had gotten too tall for her infant carrier. I researched quite a bit to try and find what would be the best deal. I wanted one that could be used both rear-facing and forward-facing. I found that many of the seats only work until your child is 40 pounds, so I knew I would be needing to buy another one fairly soon.
I was considering the 3-in-1 seats that work rear-facing up until age 1, then forward-facing, then convert to a booster seat and work until your child reaches 100 pounds. At roughly $150, I was thinking this would be the best deal, but when I did the math, I actually found that it was not. This seat will fit my daughter until she reaches 40 pounds and after that, I will purchase her a booster seat which cost between $15 and $25. I paid about $65 for this seat, so add in the cost for a booster seat, and it's still much cheaper than the 3-in-1 seats. I ended up saving about $65 in the long run.
I think this seat is a very good deal, and so far I am very impressed with it. I can easily get my daughter in and out of it, and it is plenty roomy for her. It's very easy to install as well - only took me about 5 minutes. In order to get the arrow on the seat leveled with the ground, I did neet to roll up 2 bath towels and stuff them under it, but even then, it still is quite sturdy. The only thing I wish I could do is be able to lean the front seat in my car back if I needed to change her diaper, but I am not able to do that with the car seat in the back. (another reviewer said she was able to do that, so it must just depend on the type of car you have). That being said, my husband and I are both quite tall, so we need our seats pushed nearly all the way back, and we are able to do that with this car seat installed. It wiill probably be even roomier when we can turn it forward facing in a couple months.
I would definitely recommend this car seat. We love it a
Good car seat for the price

Good car seat for the price. My big 9-month-old fits in nicely and still has room to grow. Like the extra cushions, but the head cushion needs a longer strap so it can hang lower -- my son's head is half on and half off the bottom of the head cushion. Like that the padding can be removed to wash. Haven't used the cup holder yet, but it snaps onto the carseat under the cover. Since the cover fits snugly now, without the cup holder, I think it may be difficult to pull the cover on after the cup holder is fit in place... dunno. Biggest detraction for me is that it doesn't have the ball balance thingy (keep the ball in the green area) to let you know the angle of the carseat is correct; instead, it comes with a line that says to keep it parallel to the ground -- how safe is it to eyeball that? Overall though, my son seems happy and comfortable in it, and I'm okay with the few negatives for the comfort and value.

This car seat is perfect for my son. It fits him perfectly, is comfortable and will be able to fit him for quite a while. It faces backward which is what we need now, but once he is old enough to face forward it will be able to do that too. The straps are movable so as he grows the straps move with him. The only problem I had was that it took me longer than I expected to install it in the car. But the extra 5 minutes is well worth my son's safety!
Very surprised

I bought this car seat for my husbands truck and I am very surprised at how much we like it. I have a $300 Eddie Bauer car seat in my car and I have to say I like this one better. It is very snug (safe) and my childs head doesn't fall forward when he sleeps!!
Love this seat. Wish I would have bought it for my car.

This is a good, sterdy car seat. My 1 year old daughter seems comfortable in it. It straps her in nice and tight. The colors are very pretty and are appropriate for either a girl or a boy. The only difficulty was putting on the cup holder--I figured out that, to attach both the holder and the car seat cover to the seat, you had to swivel the cup holder and carefully place the seat cover back on. Other than that, very easy to assemble and install.

I was very dissappointed with this product. I would not suggest anyone buy this chair. It is sturdy and washable but the padding in the seat bunches up and has to be pulled back straight....I guess you get what you pay for.
