Comments about Evenflo Triumph Advance Convertible Car Seat Harbortown:
We baught this carseat when it 1st came out and I LOVE it! I have a Camry and rear facing it was a little tight but forward it's just fine! My son loves it! We were recently in a pretty bad accident and my son had absolutely NO injuries! It was a side impact crash! Even though this seat if a little on the big side I highly recommend it! Oh and I have to add, It is soooooo easy to make adjustments as your child grows!

Comments about Evenflo Triumph Advance Convertible Car Seat Harbortown:
After seeing this product in person, I compared prices and features to to other competitive products and couldn't find an equal to the padding and ease of use of the restraint system.
Most of the value priced models are hard plastic and don't have side protection but this product does for longer trips and overall comfort.

Great product. This deluxe model had the toddler nodding out in no time! I bought it because it reclines -no more bobble head. It's a bit of a hassle to set up and install but you only have to do that once.

Although this carseat is large and takes a generous amount of space in the backseat. It is easy to install and use. Plus, it is very comfortable for my 5 month old. We recently made a 5 + hour trip. He fussed very little on the journey.

THe LazyBoy of carseats

Comments about Evenflo Triumph Advance Convertible Car Seat Harbortown:
We bought this carseat as the next step for our infant. It looks nice, the ease of the adjustments are fantastic and the installation was a breeze. However, we call it the LazyBoy b/c of how big/robust this seat is. It is a good 4" wider than our infant carrier/base and is noticable larger than the other convertible carseat our toddler rides in. In rearfacing position the top of the carseat almost touches the back of my seat in our SUV. While I do like the carseat and recemmend it to most I personally don't think it would be the best choice for someone in a smaller vehicle who has two or more in carseats.

Comments about Evenflo Triumph Advance Convertible Car Seat Harbortown:
This seat is great!! My 17 month old son sits comfortable and seems to enjoy it. The strap tightening system is the best...and is a sure way of getting the straps secure snug against my sons chest/hips. I would highly recommend this carseat to all parents. We have a 4 month old daughter as well...and will invest in another one of these seats for her.

Comments about Evenflo Triumph Advance Convertible Car Seat Harbortown:
Both my boys love this seat. One is facing front now (he's 3) and so we got the same thing for my baby (3 months and HATES the bucket seat). He love it. The only problem with this one for little guys is that there isn't a lot of side support and he fell to the side a bit when sleeping. I just rolled some receiving blankets (one on each side) and that seems to do the trick for now.

Comments about Evenflo Triumph Advance Convertible Car Seat Harbortown:
This is our fourth car Triumph car seat we purchased and recommend it to other parents. We purchased two car seats, two years ago for our first son (one for each car) and two for our second son. Consumer Reports gives this car seat great reviews, and we do as well. It was easy to install, and to remove when you need to. We had no problems converting the seat from rear facing to forward facing.

I love this seat, for rear facing (I never have used it front facing) there is a good amount of leg room and a decently tall shell. I just wish it rear faced to 40 lbs, but the new efta 65's do!

Comments about Evenflo Triumph Advance Convertible Car Seat Harbortown:
After thoroghly searching for a convertible seat for our 2nd child, we decided on this since it was Consumer Reports Best Buy and affordable. Our 6 month old daughter hated leaning so far back in the our baby trend infant seat, so we decided to switch up to a bigger seat. She is so much happier now that she sits up more. I hate how big it is, but I suppose it makes her safer, but when it's rearfacing I would think it would be a tight squeeze in smaller cars, and there is not much room between it and our other forward facing seat in the backseat. It's nice how easy it is to loosen and tighten the straps. I love the extra pad that's removable and washable that she sits on, it's like a Piddle Pad (incase of potty accidents). Wish it would have came with shoulder straps. I'm not a big fan of the type of latches that it uses, I prefer the kind that has just a button to release, they're much easier to use (that is what our baby trend base had.) You do need to put all your weight on it when you're attaching the latches, and don't try to worry about the directions, they're way confusing, just look at the pictures and your seat and you can figure it out. Overall, though, it's a good carseat and I'd recommend it, especially if you have an suv.

I bought my first one in November of last year once I realized our current seat was expired. It is easy to install, with the latch clips and your weight on it, it's an easy tug and SUPER tight once you have it all in place. I do recommend you read the book though as the straps are a bit different for forward vs rear facing.

After trying two other car seats that would not fit properly into the car, this was my last try. I read other rave reviews of this seat and they were certainly not wrong. It is just terrific. Fits really well into the seat and super easy to install. Love the strap set-up on this seat. Makes getting baby in and out a breeze. Best of all, the seat is manufactured in Ohio. I rate this seat 5 stars plus!

We bought this seat after my wife spent almost a month investigating car seats on line. She was looking at seats 2-3 times as expensive. She finally found this one after I told her $300 for a car seat was insane. It rated as well as the more expensive seats for safety. My kid has been riding in it for more than 2 years now and likes it. It was tough to initially install and get tight, but after that it has been easy to adjust as my son has gotten bigger

AMAZING CARSEAT!!

Comments about Evenflo Triumph Advance Convertible Car Seat Harbortown:
I love this carseat. I searched around and looked at soooo many different car seats and found many websites dedicated to this car seat stating that it is the best out there. They were all right. This is the best out there. It seems to be so comfortable for my son and I love how high the sides come up. Seems like it will be great protection for him if we are ever in a wreck. I also like how high the sides of the car seat are because when my son falls asleep his head doesnt bob around..he has a place to rest his head. I have a jeep liberty which the backseat on them are very tiny and this car seat fits just fine behind the passenger side. I cannot fit it in the middle because my husband leans too far back so it will not fit. Also I tried to take my niece with us somewhere once and could not fit 2 booster across with this seat. My son has a booster in the car as well so my nieces would not fit. So if you have to have 3 child seats across in a small vehicle then this carseat would not be a good fit but since I only have 2 kids it works just fine for me. My favorite part about this seat is the shoulder straps. I love how easy it is to adjust the height of them because sometimes my son wears something a little more bulky then the day before and all I have to do and just push the straps up or down instead of rethreading them everytime in the back of the seat like most other car seats. My only complaint which isnt even a big deal is the fold down cup holder on the side of the car seat. It is supposed to snap on the side but always falls off and it is too flimsy to even hold my sons sippy cup but that isnt a big deal because he just hold his cup anyway. My son is 9 months old at 20 lbs and 28 and a half inches long. I also strapped my 4 year old in this chair and he is 40 lbs and 3 ft 6 inches and he fits in it just fine as well. This is a great car seat for all size children.

I've been pretty pleased with this car seat. It was a great price. It seems very sturdy, durable and safe. I wish it had padding on the straps like my infant car seat did. I also wish it connected more easily (like my infant car seat) with the one-click latch system (This has hooks on it).

This car seat is wonderful. This is the first car seat that I've had my daughter in after she outgrew her infant car seat. It is the best. I reviewed and tested out many other car seats with her, but this is the one we bought. The harness control on the side is much more practical to use than the one in front, since that part is up against the seat if child is rear facing. So far we have only used it rear facing, but my daughter loves it. And both of her cousins have the same seat and they love it and have been using it for years. Great car seat. Bought one for my car, my husbands and my mother's. We all love it.

This convertible car seat is exactly what we were looking for. It's not too expensive but offers excellent protection and comfort, especially on long trips. The best part is that it was extremely easy to install, and the directions were very easy to follow even for a senior citizen like me. The adjustable straps are a great feature and also very easy to set-up and use. Our granddaughter is 13 months old and just grew out of the infant seat; this product is the perfect "moving-up" replacement.

Bought this for our 9 month old who was too big for her infant car seat. Works well in the rear facing position - we still have plenty of passenger seat legroom after install (2005 ford freestyle). Comes in the forward facing configuration, and was fairly easy to change to rear facing, although instructions didn't match product exactly. Twist to tighten straps are nice and buckles are good. Because she is so young, her head doesn't settle comfortably when sleeping. (head area padding not as narrow as her previous infant seat) I think this will be resolved as she grows into the seat. Overall great price and bought mainly because of high rating on consumer reports.

Good product. Love that the shoulder harness is "infinitely" adjustable with no pre-set levels, just slide to child's shoulders and you're done, and its accessible even when carseat is fully installed. One note in our Pontiac car, the hand cranks on the side (that tighten the internal seat harness) were really tight against the back of the car's seat, but we put a swim noodle under the carseat to get the proper rear-facing angle and it angled the seat away from the back just enough to give us finger room.

I am super happy that I went with this convertible car seat. It is much nicer in person then in the picture. It is very soft/comfy and it feels like it just hugs my child. My child is 8 months 21 lbs and he seemed very happy in this seat. Concerned mommy that I am, is having a hard time getting use to not being able to see my child, over my shoulder, so I will be planning on getting a mirror. When I look in the rear view mirror the seat is as high as the vehicles seats but not higher then the head rest. It says it has to be reclined all the way in rear facing in order to install correctly. I did all the research and looked it up on you tube on how to install in a vehicle properly. I like the tension knobs which will be such a time saver and less of a hassle for my child. I LOVE that it reclines back enough so babys head wont lean forward. (i'll have to get pic's on here when i get a chance). The head rest and extra seat cushion pad come off if you wish to not have them on there, which is nice. It comes with the anchor belt and the anchor belt for vehicles who have anchors on the roof of their vehicles. I have yet to attach the cup holder b/c it is my 1st day having this product. The instruction booklet is located in the back bottom of the car seat and has a spot for it to stay there if you'd like. Im looking forward to getting much use out of this car seat and I hope I helped answer some questions. Best Wishes <3

Best Part is the Strap Adjustment!

Comments about Evenflo Triumph Advance Convertible Car Seat Harbortown:
This is a very nice car seat. It seems comfy for my 11 month old. It was very easy to set up and get into our vehicle. We bought this because he outgrew his carrier. We have an Expedition and it fits well in the back, but it seems like it might be a bit wide for a smaller vehicle...however, with nothing really to compare it to, I could be wrong.

The main reason I am writing this review (which I never do) is becase of the adjustable straps. They are FANTASTIC! Honestly, when I bought this particular car seat it was because of this feature, and I was hoping it was going to be as easy as advertised. Well, let me tell you it is. The spring in the mid west requires some day to wear tshirt and some days a sweatshirt. I can very easily make the car seat straps tighter or looser with the turn of a knob so that it is always just right. It is easy to loosten the straps to get him in and buckled, then I can tighten them down so I'm not fighting with them as I get him buckled in.

All in all, I feel this is a great car seat and I love the features, it was very worth it!!

Great carseat once your little one is ready to get out of the "bucket" or infant seat. My only thing is that it doesn't recline as the infant seat does, which when the baby falls asleep, they're head is in an awkward position. From my understanding, they get use to this, which it's been about 3 weeks since we made this purchase, and we have seen in a change. Great value!

Comments about Evenflo Triumph Advance Convertible Car Seat Harbortown:
As my second daughter approached the end of ther infant basinet car seat, I had no doubts that I would be purchasing another Evenflo Triumph since my older daughter was still in the first one I bought in Dec 2007. The best feature of this seat is the adjusting tension nobs. Why this option is not more available in stores I don't understand. I knew to go directly to the Walmart website to order. Great updates from the previous model I have: 1) Good up to 50 lbs now vs. 40 lbs. 2) Height adjustment is so easy all you have to do is pull on the red tabs. This means I can easily put a different child in the seat.

I've tried the cheaper Cosco car seats with the adjusting strap between the legs for around $40 at the time. This seat may be much more expensive but it is worth it if you are using it every day.

Comments about Evenflo Triumph Advance Convertible Car Seat Harbortown:
I didn't realize this when I bought it, but this carseat, in addition to be able to be installed with a seat belt, features the LATCH restraint clips option to hook securely into your car with built in LATCH anchors (check your vehicle's owner manual). I found this to be a very easy& secure way to install the seat in the car. Switching the straps so the seat can be installed rear facing was a bit confusing, but if you read the directions carefully you can figure it out OK. It involved removing the seat cover, which was pretty easy to do so it would be easy to remove to wash.
The adjustable shoulder harness is very nice, so that you do not have to rethread the belts as your child grows or when you have a heavy coat on him/her. I am very pleased with this seat.

I like these seats. I had the brown one for my oldest son and now that I have another son, I got the matching ones. Because I know and trust these carseats. The only problem for me is getting the cup holder on and in a sturdy position. Maybe I'm not doing something right, but I read and re-read the directions. Otherwise, I think this is the seat to get.

I did alot of research and chose this car seat. My son is 8months old and out grew his infant seat. I wanted a car seat he could stay in for a while and that didn't cost a bunch!!! We have a Pontiac Grand Prix and it fits well. I can actually move my seat back. I couldn't with the infant car seat. Was easy to install and is very easy to get in him and out of. The straps don't twist up which is a plus!! The knobs to tighten the straps are great. Definately easier than the than our infant car seat. Great Seat, will purchase the same for our next child.

I read reviews on this carseat a few people had said that their cars had completely flipped over and their baby was safe in this seat so i went to walmart and bought it my son is only 2 mo old 13 lbs once i had it installed (which was a little difficult but didnt take long) and it looks extreamly safe. i cant budge it side to side and my son always falls asleep in it of course if you are buying this for a young infant then you will need to purchase something for head support. I love this car seat its so easy to adjust the harness you just do it with a knob. Thanks Walmart!

This seat is very sturdy, holds my 24-pound 8-month-old well, and he fell asleep in it within the first 10 minutes he was in it. Fits great in our Ford Freestyle. Great value!

Comments about Evenflo Triumph Advance Convertible Car Seat Harbortown:
I ordered this one after I tried the other Evenflo carseat and did not like it. As soon as I put my 5 month old daughter in it she started crying. At the very bottom of her back the carseat is really hard and the padding insert they have to put in it doesn't help much. I also could not get the shoulder adjustment straps to lock and I didn't not like that feature, to me it seems very un-safe, I would rather re-thread the straps every time rather than them coming undone. I did love the recline feature, but that is the only postive on this carseat. I did return this carseat the very next day.

Very Nice Child Car Seat

Comments about Evenflo Triumph Advance Convertible Car Seat Harbortown:
This is a really nice car seat. However, for the rear facing position we did have to roll a bath towel up and place it against the back of our car's seat, under the front of the child safety car seat. Without the towel an infant would not be in a reclining position. We have a 2008 Ford Tuarus and the rear seat seems to tip back. The child safety seat is large, but our grandson seems to like the extra space and is very comfortable. We feel we made a very good choice. Not a seat for small compact cars or 2-door styles.

This model (Triumph Advance) continues to get high ratings for safety (it is the same base model as the much more expensive Britax Marathon) and value. The seat is a great neutral color (black and gray) and is easy to install.

Set-up took 5 minutes, looks great in our car, my 1 year old hated being in the car until we purchased this seat. Before buying we saw alot of others in the same price range that didn't seem nearly as comfortable which was very important to us, and this seat is. I drive a mid-size car and the seat isn't bulky and still leaves plenty of room in the back seat.

Comments about Evenflo Triumph Advance Convertible Car Seat Harbortown:
After reading a ton of reviews I thought this car seat seemed like the best bang for the buck and it was. My 6 mth old who is rather long for his age was growing out of his infant carrier and that is why we purchased this one. I did read the other reviews and the instructions on installation are somewhat complicated, but if you scrap the instructions and follow common sense the installation is a breeze. I did put my knee in the seat and put my weight onto it to tighten the strap and that made a world of difference on getting it tighter (they do suggest that in the book). The seat is easy to move around from car to car also. The straps are extremely easy to adjust (a small red knob on the side allows you to do this). For the price I'd definitely consider getting a 2nd for my husband's car, but it is so easy to move around I figure why not just use one. I also like the color and although I haven't washed the cover yet, I'm sure it is easy to do from my experience of installation. If you are looking for a solid, sturdy car seat that is a great buy, this is the one for you. FYI- I read some other reviews that said it is extremely bulky and I think it is the exact opposite- we have a Camry and it fits behind the driver's seat with ease- even with that seat all the way back.

Great deal for the price. The seat is big takes up most of the back seat but my son (almost 1) love it he falls asleep almost every time we put him in it. The directions were a little confusing for the rear facing latch system but other than that it was easy to install and easy to adjust straps. Over all a good deal :)

Comments about Evenflo Triumph Advance Convertible Car Seat Harbortown:
I ordered this when my 6 month old outgrew the infant seat. It was easy to install, except the LATCH strap is very short and it is tough to get enough leverage to pull it tight (as you will read in other reviews), but it fits perfectly in my mid-size SUV. It is very large and blocks the rearview mirror slightly. I am using it rear-facing currently. The infinite harness is great because you can reposition it based on if the child is wearing a t-shirt vs. a snowsuit without rethreading. Also the tension knobs are great for loosening or tightening the harness. I agree that the "leveling arrow" is not as nice as an actual level (like the infant seat had), you just have to judge by eye whether or not it is parallel to the ground. But it is a very comfortable, safe seat, with a lot of good features for the price.

Comments about Evenflo Triumph Advance Convertible Car Seat Harbortown:
I love this carseat (and so does my son)! We got it for my son when he was 7 months old because he outgrew his infant carseat, and we couldn't have made a better purchase.

I love that the carseat reclines more than others that I have seen, and it seems to keep my son's head from hanging forward when he falls asleep in it. I love that we do not have to re-thread the straps (it makes it quick and easy to adjust them) and that the buckle is adjustable. I also love the "tension knob" that tightens and loosens the straps because it is located in an easy-to-get-to spot, and it is easy to use. Our carseat that we have in another vehicle has the metal piece on the front that you push in to loosen the straps, and it is a pain to get to when the carseat is rear-facing.

The only negative issues is that it is wider than our other carseat, but I am still able to comfortably sit next to it in the back seat of our car (and the carseat is in the middle of the back seat). I am also not a fan of the "leveling arrow". It says to you need to make the red arrow parallel to the ground so that the carseat sits at the correct angle. However, it is hard to judge if it is really parallel, and if it isn't, you need to use a rolled up towel or blanket to make it parallel. I like how our infant seat had a leveling dial in which if the blue showed, it was level, but if orange showed, it was not. That was much easier and could get it more precise.

Overall, this carseat is more than worth the price. I would recommend it for anyone looking for a high quality carseat for an affordable price!

I researched all kinds of carseats before deciding on this one. I am very pleased with it. My son is 7 1/2 months old but is larger than most his age. He looks little in this carseat. He is very comfortable in it and once we figured out how to adjust everything, it is very easy to use. One down fall is, it is a little difficult to put in the vehicle the first time, it took me and my husband. I really like this carseat and it is so much cheaper than carseats that can't even compare.

We bought this carseat when my son was 8 months old, and we never looked back. It's so comfortable for him. It fits really well in our minivan, and it fit in the Pontiac Sunfire we had before that. SO easy to adjust, I could never get the straps on his carrier, but this is easy. Highly recommended :)

Comments about Evenflo Triumph Advance Convertible Car Seat Harbortown:
This is the top-rated convertible car seat. We had to buy it when our son outgrew his infant carrier but wasn't old enough to go forward-facing. Considering that other lesser-rated car seats go up to $300, this is a great value. My criticisms are that it needs more head support for young infants, the lever to loosen the straps is a little stiff, and that the set-up instructions were confusing. There was a lot of flipping back and forth in the instruction book and some things weren't clear. For instance, at one point the instructions said to take off the seat cover, but then it never said when to put it back on. There was also this plastic thing holding the LATCH strap in place, and the instructions never said what to do with it.

My son LOVES his new car seat! I did not use this as a rear facing car seat, only front facing, but it has the nifty lean back feature that I love so my sons head isn't plopped over while he sleeps on his car rides.

My only complaint is actually ABOUT the lean back feature. I love that it has many different angles to lean back, but actually getting it to lean back is sort of difficult.
Not difficult enough to make me not like it though!

Easy to buckle into your car, easy to adjust the buckle and straps to your childs size.. What a wonderful car seat!

I got this when my daughter was 2 months old she hated her infant seat. Ever since we put her in this seat I don't dread car rides. She is now 7 months old still loves the seat. I have a 2006 Nissan Murano and it fits fine in there next to the door and my 4 year olds nautilus is on the other side. Someone can still fit in the middle.

Why buy any other convertible car seat but this? It is rated #1 in the 2009 Consumer Reports ratings for convertible car seats. The set-up couldn't be any easier. The car seat comes ready to install with very simple instructions. There is no assembly required at all. The straps are very easily adjustable without re-threading. The car seat is very comfortable too!

I bought two of these (one for each car) for our 1-year-old granddaughter who just recently outgrew her infant car seat. She is now able to be front-facing since she weighs over 20 pounds. She loves her new car seats. And then I turned around and bought one for my (Grandma's) car, too! I highly recommend this car seat!

Comments about Evenflo Triumph Advance Convertible Car Seat Harbortown:
I researched car seats for 2mo before I finally decided to buy this seat and I am so happy I did! My son is bigger for his age and grew out of his infant car seat before he was 1yr, so I had to find a rear facing seat, but I wanted one that would grow with him since I was planning to pay $300 for his new seat. Thankfully I found this one, which has similar safety ratings and features as the seats that cost twice as much. It is a larger seat, though, so if you have a smaller car or need to fit multiple seats, then you may want to look at the SS kids seats.

I/we have been very pleased with this carseat. I love that you don't have to re-thread the straps as your child grows in lengths and the side crank/loosen button make getting them in and out a cinch! We have a Cosco Scenera for our second vehicle, and my son doesn't appear to be any less comfortable in it, however I always struggle with loosening and/or tightening the straps! As other reviewers have said it is on the bulkier side...but it works for us!

I really like everything that this car seat offers!! Straps are really easy to adjust to baby and it is comfortable!! The only thing I do not like is how hard it is to get the seat belt through the bottom for rear facing. It is very difficult and hurts your hands!! My husband can't even do it cause his hands are too big. There is a piece of Styrofoam on the inside and makes the hole small on the inside. It is not good for transferring from car to car! Other than that I love this car seat!!

Comments about Evenflo Triumph Advance Convertible Car Seat Harbortown:
While this carseat looked great out of the box and my son was already climbing into the seat before I could even look at the directions, I had one MAJOR problem with this seat. That is installation into my car (I drive a Chevy Equinox, small, but not that small). Everything else was fairly simple to connect/set up and it seems like a good sturdy seat. However, when I went to install it into my car using the latch system there was NO way I could get the seat tight enough rear facing. I even called my husband out to get it (saying "I'm apparently not buff enough") and it took him almost 20 mins to finally get it tight enough that I felt my son would be safe riding in it. The instructions say to put your knee into the seat and tighten it, but it is almost impossible to get a good grip on the short strap used to tighten it from that angle. I'm not even sure how my husband eventually got it tight, but it's good now. That is my biggest complaint and it is for rearfacing only (not sure if it's any easier with forward facing or not, my son is not big enough yet). Otherwise this seat seems pretty good, although quite large! Not so sure I would recommend it to others - I will see after I've used it for a few weeks to decide on that.

I love this carseat. We bought it when my son was around 6 months old. We originally had a Snugride for when he was smaller, but when the base broke we had to get a new carseat. We chose this one, because we had used a convertible carseat when we visited with my parents and we had such a hard time adjusting the level for the belts. This carseat makes adjusting straps quick and easy. Yes, this car seat is big, but it wraps around your child even when they are almost 2, so you feel more secure about putting your child in the seat. My son loves this seat and found it very comfortable to be in even for a long trip. We loved it so much, we bought another just like it for our next baby (and for people wondering, we have a Hyundai Sonata and they both fit in the back seat with no problem, however, there is no room for anyone else to sit back there).

This carseat is a good buy for the price but is very bulky. I have an H3 and I keep the carseat in the middle of the back seat. It is a tight squeeze for an infant carseat to sit next to it and only those with small bums can sit on either side.
