This chair was given to us by a friend. My baby had the metal frame vibrating seat and hated it. When we put her in the brentwood chair she loved it! She sits and smiles and laughs at herself. This chair is great for keeping her occupied while I need to get housework done.

This is our daughter's favorite for daytime napping! and the only thing she would sleep in her second and third week of her life. The rocking is strong enough; but, she prefers it just as a chair ;). The music is nature sounds and turns off after a reasonable amount of time. Very stylish; though the green is more of a lime/ apple green.

This rocker is very aesthetically pleasing, and its music is fine. The vibrations are strong too, which is nice. However. The stupid thing turns the vibrations off after a few minutes!! This is so annoying!! I have a FP bouncy chair, and my baby naps in there a lot with the vibration on. I tried to have her nap in the rocker today, so I put the vibration on and she fell asleep. Maybe ten minutes later, she was awake again and I realized it was because the thing stopped vibrating! Arg! Now I have an overly tired baby on my hands and she won't go back to sleep.

good seat for new baby. love the simplicity of the design, none of that frilly fufu junk on so many baby items these days. would be cool if it had a little bar across the front to hang toys to keep baby's attention, though.

my son was less than 7 lbs and the seat didn't allow him to sit up high enough because the fabric seat is not adjustable. Also it is not very practical for washing sice the seat pad can be removed but the fabric seat cannot. overall, it's alright but i wouldn't buy it again. hopefully he can use it when he's older.

This seat is so cute and functional. It was super easy to put together too. I love the mesh sides, baby won't get all hot & sweaty in it. It is very well made and looks like it will last a long time.

Love this chair since you can use from day one. Cute colors that match with any furniture. Love the music and rocking function. Very comfortable since baby is laying on fabric, not wood or plastic. Warning: once baby's leg go over bar and baby start to kick; this chair should only be used steady. My baby managed to kick onto bottom of the chair and felt backwards (very weird). We only use this chair steady now.

I recieved this rocker as a gift and it is absolutely GORGEOUS once it is assembled. THe instrction manual is very thorough and even though i am not a handy person i was able to assemble this on my own. Only complaint is that i wish the chair rocked on it's own, but it is still a wonderful baby item!

Even thought its a little more pricey than most "bouncers", it is well worth the extra pennies. Its great!!! My daughter has loved it from the day we brought her home.It is great for a newborn. The features are also simple but useful. The attached monkey teether toy and the singing/vibrating features are always helpful. From a newborn just learning to hold things, to an cranky infant that needs to be soothed to sleep. It is a great toddler seat, since it holds up to 40 lbs. My daughter just turned a year old and still uses this seat.

My daughter is three months old and still loves this rocker! The vibrations soothe her when she's upset and she loves rocking back and forth. She never liked her swing so the rocker was a life saver! I even went out and bought the Fisher-Price Newborn to Toddler rocker for my upstairs and to have as she outgrows this one. Another great feature the Brentwood has is the mesh sides. I don't worry about her falling asleep and leaning to the sides knowing she can breathe easy.

The rocker is nice and stylish. Received many compliments on the style. However, it is awefully loud when vibrating and hard to keep child entertained alone. My 2month old prefers the cheap bouncy seat. Still quite stylish

I LOVE THIS! This chair is a must have. It has worked great for my son and will have to be bronzed when he grows out of it. It is perfect for everything. Feeding, sleeping, playing, soothing! I wish they made them for older babies because I don't know what I am going to do without it.

My daughter liked this bouncer but didnt stay in it very long. It has a beautiful pattern to it. Also the music and vibration are nice. She seemed to be very comfortable in it. She just outgrew it to fast and would crawl out of it. So I dont think we got much use out of it.

My 1 month old daughter loves this seat. I have had many sleepless nights but this seat seems to do the trick. The rocking motion puts her right to sleep, I just wished it rocked on its own. The battery life is amazing... I use the vibrate and music combo 3 or more times a day and the batteries have yet to die in three weeks. The music and vibration lasts a long time, enough to keep her asleep. I think she likes the "hammock" feel as well. This product is easy to clean and the fabric is breathable. The only downside is that she has to sit high up to use the restraint and I can see her growing out of this seat quickly.

i have put my son in this chair since he was teeny tiny. and he is still using it at 6mths.it is best as a rocker because i can easily slide him across the room in it. he loves to chew on the handy attached bear. only problem now is that he is sitting up straight and im afraid he will get into an unsafe position if im not watching. probably put it away soon but we have gotten good use of it and will be happy to have it for the next baby!

I dunno, it's attractive and gender neutral which is cool. But my daughter is 2 1/2 months old and is 23 1/2 inches long and instead of growing 'up' in the seat, she is growing 'out' of the seat. So when she kicks (which she does a lot) I hear her feet hitting the wood bar pretty hard and that worries me a bit. And, in my opinion, the rocking mechanism is useless unless you are sitting next to it rocking it yourself therefore completely defeating the purpose of the chair. I do use it when I need to put the baby down somewhere safe while I'm busy around the house or in the shower but she doesn't like to spend much time in it. She also doesn't seem to care about the music or vibrating. So, all 3 features, rocking, music and vibration, are useless to me. If I were to recommend something, I would recommend something that bounces instead of rocking and had toys overhead to provide some entertainment.

I have used it from day 1 with our infant. She was born a little small but this seat works great. The music is soothing to both her and I. The head support doesn't work yet because she is so small but no complaints here.

i love this rocker seat. you of course should not use on elevated surfaces unattended or in the rocker position. but, we strap our son in, lock it into a seat position, and put him on the counter of our kitchen while we eat our meals [we eat at the "bar" of our kitchen]. this allows him to participate in our meal-time conversations. the colors are beautiful and there aren't any dangly toys to distract or get in the way. i haven't used much in the rocker position, but now that he's a little older and his movements will rock it, i will be.

My daughter has loved this chair since she was born. It was great for a newborn because baby sits in it like a hammock, it supported her and her head better than similar bouncers. She can sit it in all day while I get stuff done around the house. Now that is is older, 3 months, she rocks herself when she kicks. It doesn't have a toy bar but I just put her toys in the chair with her when shes awake, and its better to be calming when I'd like her to sleep (she takes all naps in this chair!) Also, beautiful design - love that its not too loud. Highly recommend!

I had read some reviewers complain that this product did not have any dangling toys, but this is just what we were looking for. With this rocker, our baby has an opportunity to sit up and participate a little better in family time, now that he's getting more alert, and we have a place to put him when we want to be hands-free, without dropping him in the bassinet lying down. The vibration setting is soothing for our little one, and it does shut off after about 15 min. I only ever leave him alone for a minute or two (when taking a shower), so it's not a problem to re-set. I must confess I chose the Brentwood Rocker because it is nice looking, but it also seems well-made and serves our needs just fine.
It is good bouncer.

Our baby loves this rocker! He's 3 1/2 weeks old now and has loved it since the day he was born. We don't even use it with the music because it can be a little bothersome to grown-up ears.
Our only complaint is that the vibration turns off after 15 minutes or so, and when he wakes a little he yells at us to come turn it back on. I wish there was an "on" setting without the timer.

this has been a great rocker. i like the simple design and smooth lines, and i love that it is light weight and not as wide as my sons other seat. it's easy to move around, and i like the space underneath - it gives me easy access to place washcloths, burp cloths, etc. i'm definitely storing this for our next child.

I guess I have a tough baby. She wants nothing to do with this thing. It is a disappointment since it was kind of pricey. It's probably not the chair's fault though; my baby only likes to be held or screams. I had high hopes for this chair, but in retrospect I should have tried her out in a cheap bouncy chair as a "test" before assembling this one and discarding the box. You expecting mothers with this on your registry might want to keep this in mind! It is a beautiful chair, though...
Also, I don't think this chair will provide much entertainment for her when she gets a little older, and agree with the other reviewers that a toy bar would be good. The box says to only put them in there until they can sit up, so I don't think we'll ever use this chair.
