had to return/exchange swing due to mobile problem. mobile stopped spinning AND has an awful, loud clicking noise. turned on the 2nd swing lastnight and it's doing the very same thing. the first swing was the blue/yellow/off white one w/ moon and sleeping teddy bear on mobile. this new swing is the butterfly one. 2 different designs, same brand, same problem. it's a shame b/c i loved the swing up until the mobile broke, both times within a few short weeks!!!

This is a very pretty swing, so girly! The clicking sound that many other reviewers complained about is a result of the legs of the swing not being in the proper position. Pulling the legs and feet out to the proper position remedied the situation for me. My baby girl does like her swing, she likes watching the butterfly light show. However, I do have one complaint. She is 5 1/2 months old and recently (the past 2 weeks) I have gone in to find her nearly upside down in the seat. I do not have the tray attached, but I do have her buckled in using all straps provided. When she is swinging, sometimes she sits up which causes her to tilt over, sometimes completely. Just this morning I found her head at the bottom of the swing and her legs out to the side, so now I'm on here looking for a non-Papasan swing. The problem could be easily remedied if a 5 point harness was provided. Straps at the shoulders would prevent this from happening. Other than this, the swing is HIGHLY recommended!

this is a beautiful swing and it did work great but one day the motor stopped working all together [...] i have to contact the manufacturer they will not even exchange for one that works so now im stuck with a broken swing!!!! so i dont recommend this its pretty but its a [*]!

All Hail to the Baby Swing! My baby loves this swing and will sleep/play in it for up to 3 hours. This swing allows us to shower, clean house, or take a nap. My baby, like most newborns would rather be held all the time. This is the only place she will sleep in daytime and it soothes her to sleep when she's real fussy. It also keeps her from spitting up after eating. Swings side to side and front to back. She will laugh and smile at the butterflies. This swing is a pretty good size and seems very comfortable.

I loved this swing when we first purchased it but after a while I realized that it was pretty loud if I turned it on after the baby was asleep. I didn't even turn on the music, just the motion of the swing itself was loud and it would make this strange, loud, almost clicking noise everytime it moved back and forth, almost like something was loose in the swing mechanism. She liked the butterflies and lights at first but after a while she just wasn't interested... I ended up returning it.

Yes, we too had a problem with the motor. 2 months in, it started clicking and squeaking. before calling the company, i took off the plastic cover and adjusted the motor. the clicking stopped for now and i hope it stays that way. the squeaking is still going on. but no matter what, my baby girl loves it and thanks to this wonderful swing i have been able to take care of so many things around the house and steal a little time for myself. do remember, its a baby swing; its meant to lull your baby, not give him/her a roller coaster ride. so dont expect to put it on high and watch it fly back and forth. we love it!

This swing is so cute! My preemie daughter LOVES it! I got it for alot cheaper. Has lots of sounds, and the butterflies are adorable! Great that it has the plug in option, saves money on batteries!

This swing is the BEST thing that I have ever used! I recieved this two years ago for a baby shower present, and I LOVED it. I had problems with my daughter sleeping at night and finally at 3 months old she started sleeping in this when I was trying to get her out of my bed. Used this for 2 months beside my bed when she slept and eventually got her in her crib. It started squeaking towards the end but it was used constantly. Now that I just had my son, I bought another one, only in the star and moon version. He LOVES it too, he was a bit cranky at first until I got it and hes been such a good baby since. I cant stress how much this swing helps, especially when your trying to get everything done. AND you can plug it in so no need to buy batteries all the time

I actually have the Starlight Cradle swing, which is basically the same thing but in different colors. The light show is beautiful, and the detachable veil thing gives it a really elegant look (and I think the enclosure may make baby feel more secure than an open back). The cradle seat looks sooo comfy that I wish they made one for adults! Two positions: it reclines (all I used when she was newborn) and sits up more, which has been great since she has gotten older and has started using the easily detachable play tray that goes across the lap. Has several sounds options including classical music, nursery songs, natures sounds, and a combination. Love that it can be battery operated OR plugged in with the AC adapter. Can swing side-to-side or front to back. Baby loves it! I actually got mine off [...], and that baby loved it too. My complaints: the light/mobile has auto off after certain amount of time, which I don't think is long enough; motor is very loud; and sometimes it doesn't swing as fast as it seems like it should, although this is somewhat adjustable by moving the feet base further out. Oh, and it is quite bulky; DO NOT plan to move it around much.

This was my 3rd baby swing. I have 2 older boys and now a little girl. this swing never quit working. I like the fact you can plug it in. I hate having to run out to get batteries. I like the way the swing turns side to side or front to back. I loved to see my princess grow to the butterfly ligts. When she was 1st put in the swing her eyes didnt move. As she got older you could she her eyes starting to follow the lights and butterflies.

I love this swing! I love how girlie it is and how it can swing side to side or back and forth. my fourth old still loves to get in everyday. she is amazed at the butterflies every time. also like the many different song options some for play and some for nap time. she now pulls herself up with the little green handles and we can attach our own toys.

Love it, so girlie, so pretty! I had no trouble putting it together and the songs/sounds were not crackly at all. Machine washed & dried the pad several times and it always came out looking brand new; didn't shrink.
I had the Ocean Wonders swing for my son (2004) and would have still used it if I had another boy, but I just couldn't pass up the pink!
I do think that 6 swing speeds was a bit redundant, as there wasn't much difference from one speed setting to the next; but there was a definite difference from #1 to #6! I don't think we ever used it past setting #3.
I recently gave this to my sister in law...she loves it as much as I did! Hope you do too!

This swing is not only beautiful it is a life saver! My daughter loves this swing, she naps and sometimes even falls asleep in it at night! When she wakes up from her naps she just stares at the butterflys and follows the butterfly lights with her eyes shes amazed everytime! When i need to cook dinner or do chores I just put her in this swing and she absolutely loves it! Everyone who comes over says "Do they make that in my size she looks so comfortable!" I give this swing a A++

This swing is a lifesaver!!! My daughter LOVES it as much as I do. We use it everyday. She uses it at naptime or when she is fussy. The lights and music work like magic when she is over tired. I love that it swings both ways. When she was smaller, we used it like a cradle and now we use it in the back and forth motion and she loves it just that same. I especially like how it can be plugged in to the wall or you can use batteries. The only thing I would change is it has a power saver mode and the lights shut off after 7 minutes. My daughter is not usually sleeping after 7 minutes. It would be nice if it had a remote so I dont have to come in the room to turn it on and get her excited all over again. If it vibrated, I would not even need the bouncy seat. Other than that, I would recommend this swing to anyone!!!
