OK mommies, so I read and read reviews regarding the motor breaking, not with me! Thank goodness, this swing has saved my life. My baby has horrible reflux and this is the only thing he'll relax in...one side of the swing kinda goes up, but I don't really care, my baby LOVES it. He loves the music on it, I just wished the music stayed on till' it was manually turned off cuz I have to hit the reset button everytime one song ends....its very sturdy>>holds my 16.8 lb 3 month old...

I bought this swing with my first born. He always wanted held even while sleeping and this gave me the chance to put him down without him crying. He used it pretty much every day from 6 weeks to 8 months or so... then he was too big so we packed it up. I recently brought it back out for my daughter who was born 4 weeks ago. She loved it as well. Then all of a sudden it stopped working! What a bummer that I only got one child's worth of use out of it. I'm pretty bummed. I'm going to try to return to Walmart even though I've owned it for 2 years. Besides the fact that it broke, my only other complaint is that it was a battery hog. We ended up buying 2 sets of rechargable batteries..plus the charger.. which totaled nearly $50 additional to the swing. I would def. suggest buying the other Fisher Price model(s) that can also be plugged in and save yourself the hassle of scrambling to change the batteries, make sure they're charged..and avoid the additional cost.

This would be a great swing if it plugged in. My son sleeps in it, sometimes up to 5 hours at night, plus the time he naps during the day. We are changing the batteries about twice a week. We even purchased high usage LR 20 batteries as suggested in the owners manual. You are better off to spend the extra money on a cradle swing that plugs in because you will be buying batteries left and right. Now were are looking into buying a new swing.

I got this swing when my son was about a month old. The only thing I regret is not having it sooner! It's awesome. He is 8 months now and still loves it. He naps so peacfully in it. The music and mobile are great too. :) Only downfall is having to buy the D batteries but I just buy a big pack from Costco.

I purchased this swing after reading really good reviews on it. First, walmart has it for fifty dollars or more less than other stores so that was wonderful! Getting this swing for $100 was a steal. I say that it is the "escalade" of swings. We previously had the fisherprice rainforest swing and this def feels like an upgrade. We've only had it for about a month but my 2 month old loves looking in the mirror and at the mobile. I like that you can change directions easily and the different options of sound, as well as how comfy it looks and feels. We also only have it on the 2nd speed, which leads me to believe we will be able to use it much longer seeing as how there are about 8 speeds. One concern I did have, after reading reviews, was that I would have to change the batteries often, but I use it atleast 1/2 times a day for a few hours and it's lasted a month no problem. I would suggest this to anyone looking for a swing. And to ship it directly to my house was about $5! Overall, very please with our purchase! :)

My son used this swing for 4 months. We just had a daughter and when we put her in it, it doesn't work. The motor had died. It costs $50 dollars to replace. All of these good reviews are from people that just started using this swing. I wonder how many will change their reviews when the motor dies after only working for 4 months.

I bought this in December since the price had dropped and wasn't sure if it would go back up. I had my baby in May and recently put the swing together. It is supposed to have six speed settings. I turn it to each setting and they are all the same. And the fastest possible. Of course there is nothing they can do since I bought it in December.

This is the only swing my newborn likes! The original swing we bought was a Graco and only swung forward-to-back. We LOVE how this swing goes side-to-side AND front-to-back. My 6-week-old LOVES the side-to-side swinging. This swing is great for rocking baby to sleep. It's also great for stimulation while baby is awake.. the mobile is super cute and there's a mirror on it, so baby sees his own face! The music is also really soothing and fun, not boring. The mobile and music have an auto-shutoff feature, so it won't keep playing after baby falls asleep. GREAT BUY!!! This swing is a lifesaver!!!

I bought this for my granddaughter from my daughters baby registry. It is very cute and soft. It is durable and washes up very nice. The big perk is that baby loves it. She likes to sit in it even without the swinging motion. We also like the heartbeat and white noise, that it makes for now. She is three weeks old and likes to hear the natal noises.

Our newborn is very fussy and doesn't like to be put down. We finally bought this swing after about 6 weeks and he loves it! It's about the only place he will lay/sit awake for a period of time without fussing. It does make a clicking noise when it's on the highest setting, but it doesn't seem to bother him!

Thank goodness for this swing!! My son loves this swing, and has since the day he came home. It is very soft and extremely comfortable for him. He sometimes naps up to 3 hours in this swing. This is daily, and the battery life seems to hold up well. The music is nice, and it automatically shuts off after a certain amount of time, so as to not drain the batteries. The same goes for the mobile. Overall, I am very pleased with this swing, and I would definately use it again if I had another baby.

When my son was about 1 month old we finally got this thing out of the box and started it up. WOW! He slept for 8 hours in it! This swing gave a new mom some much needed rest for the next few months. It was so hard for me to move him back into his crib, as he slept safely through the night rocking in his swing. The only thing I wish was different was that it ran on 4 D batteries and there was no A/C adaptor. That would have been a nice option. As such, we ran through many batteries, but with all that heavy use, the motor never ran down and the swing is still in excellent condition. Ready to use for baby #2!

I shopped at various online sites including Babies R Us and Target. The swing was purchased as a shower gift for my youngest son and daughter-in-law (first baby due Oct 31); was $30-$50 cheaper at Wal-mart, plays 8 different songs and accommodates ages newborn & up. Our 4 yr old grandson had this exact same type of swing (with ocean theme) it was used every day; would recommend keeping extra batteries on hand. Exceptional quality, very well designed.

My son is now 8 weeks old and we use this swing every day for hours at a time. We've only had to replace the batteries once in it so far. My son absolutely loves it. The first few weeks he actually preferred to sleep in his swing than the basinet! I love that the seat is adjustable from a laying position to a more upright position and that the seat can turn so he's either rocking front to back or side to side which makes for lots of variability.

I got one of these swings as a baby gift and I have twin girls. Once I got the swing put together I quickly realized that I had to have two of them as they both wanted to be in the swing constantly. I ordered the second swing online and it was shipped to my house within 2 days. I would highly recommend this swing to any parent. My twins refuse to sleep anywhere but in this swing! Dont waste your time and money on those other swings as I have one of those and my girls only cry when they have to stay in there more than 5 minutes. Spend the few extra dollars and get this swing, it will make your baby happy!

My 9 week old son has loved this swing from the beginning. It has been a lifesaver, its the only thing he will nap in during the day. He loves to watch the mobile lately and the swinging and music has always calmed him. I love all the different speeds and music selection. This was a particularly great buy because the price was at least $50 less than the competitors. It was very simple to put together and our little angel loves it! At only 6 weeks old, he loved being held and wouldn't tolerate bouncers or anything else that was not someone's arms... however, he loves his Little Lamb Cradle Swing. He'll sit in it and be rocked for hours!! Just kidding-- we don't keep him in it for hours... but he lays in it very content for 30-45mins. The mobile/mirror keep him occupied, the songs/melodies keep him calm, and the rocking back and forth or side to side is very soothing... and he looks extremely adorable in it! Sometimes when he's fussy, the swing helps overcome his fussiness.This swing is definitely the best baby gear purchase we've made.

This swing has it all. Some of my favorite features have to be the 2 position option for the baby's seat (you can either have baby lying back or seated more up), the absolutely adorable mobile, and the fact that you can have various combinations of things on a different times like having just the swing on, or using just the music and mobile without the swing. I also love the quality of the seat liner and it doesn't hurt that it's absolutely adorable looking with the little lamb's ears. Set up takes a little while but that's because this thing is built to be sturdy, so you"re going to be using screws and bolts to keep everything together. I've seen complaints about batteries ending up drained and I would bet that's because people have accidentally left it on a setting where you can just have the mobile or music on. You just have to make sure you lways turn it ALL the way off to keep your batteries running great. The swing has a variety of swinging levels which is great as well. This has definitely become a must have for our family since our 6 week old is just starting to fight sleep but he just can't resist it when we put him in here. Overall I was really pleased with my purchase. This has just enough stuff without having to pay a fortune for a bunch of things you probably wouldn't end up using anyways!

My daughter was 3 months old when we started using it, and the very first day she loved it...she plays in it, sleeps in it (and for a long time). This swing is so plush and comfortable and I have a 15 pound lil girl. I would recommend this to all mommies!!! The only negative thing i would say is that the swing motion is a lil loud, it doesnt bother me though and it definently doesnt bother my lil princess!

A friend of mine has this excat swing, but about 3 years older then the one I bought. The first night we put our daughter in it, she slept through the night for the first time!!!!! She now sleeps in it every night and she sleeps through the night. It also doesn't plug into the wall so we can have it anywhere in the house without a plug-in near by. It does take D batteries but our batteris have lasted a while in the swing and we use the swing every day and night. It was worth every penny!

This thing is a life and night saver. Our newborn loves it and sleeps well in there when we can't hold her. It's really cute and has a small footprint. Only concern is the motor - takes a little bit for it to catch so it's a little loud at first, but it only bothers the parents, the baby seems unphased. Hopefully it lasts b/c it's great.

We nicknamed this swing "the babysitter" because our 2 month old son will sit in this swing for hours. We've been using it since he was about a week and a half old. He takes his afternoon naps in it. Love the side to side motion and it is so soft. It is fairly quiet compared to other swings and I think the repetitive sound of the motor is soothing to him and actually helps him sleep.

I have been looking for a swing for my 2 week old baby. He seems to only fall asleep and stay put in my arms. After getting the swing, my arms now can get a break, and I can get stuff done!!! I got the swing as a gift my son loves it, about five months into the swing the motor went i called fisher price told them and they sent me a new one for free, i got it within three days. Once it came in my husband put it together and took him couple of minutes. I would but this swing again and for a girft.

We had the rainforest papasan swing for our now 6 year old daughter and loved it but really wanted something new for our son. I adored this swing and begged for it. It is now 12 months old and looks worse than my 6 year old's swing. The motor has since burned out on the swing but, oddly, not on the mobile or the music. I even asked an electrician to look at it and he said the whole motor needed replaced. The fabric is ripped, pulled apart at the seams and the decorative piping has all come off....threadbare pillow and the beautiful mesh netting above babies head has lost all of it's stitching in the wash. I really hope no one else experiences the nightmare this swing has been for me. This is a trusted, quality brand. Sometimes things happen....well, it did to us this time.

This is a great swing for a great price! My daughter was only 5 lbs. 8 oz. at birth and she was able to use this swing right away. Very cushioned and comfortable for her. She is now 10 weeks and over 10 lbs. and it's her FAVORITE place to be laid down, awake or for naps; swinging or shut off. It's a bit clunky to move from room to room so I leave it in one place but what full size swing isn't?!?!

My son has his moments of being very fussy and this is a must have (along with the Summer Infant SwaddleMe blankets!!)! All I have to do if swaddle him and put him in this swing and he is quiet! For my 1st son I had the Graco Hug 'n swing or something like that but it was so hard to get the baby out of there b/c of the tray. I like that you don't "have" to have tray on it! And also, it is extemely cute! My son is only 3 months and 10 lbs right now so I don't know how it will do when he gets bigger, but for right now it is worth all the money I paid for it!!!!!

While pregnant, my husband and I shopped extensively for baby gear that was relatively neutral... many of the swings we came across were obnoxious! Super cute, maybe, but definitely LOUD. My baby was 2 months old when i got this for her..she would keep us up all night but the day i bought the swing for her she feel asleep for 4 hours straight! shes 4 months now and still loves it, she loves the mirror on the center and the mobile. I love it too it gives me a chance to get things done around the house and sleep. The only thing i wish it had is a AC adaptor money for baterries add up but to me its worth it and i would still buy it again ;)

I got this swing from another store and paid almost twice what WalMart is selling it for! This swing is awesome! It was easy to set up and is Very soft. It cleans really easily too...just throw the cover in the wash and slip it back on! We use this constantly and the batteries last us about 5 week which is really good. I like that you can have the swing, mobile and music on...or any combination of the 3! sometimes i turn on the mobile and music but not the swing...sometimes all 3. I love that it swings both directions so if my baby gets bored i just push a button and turn the swing around...works every time! It also folds up pretty easily so we can take it wherever we go!

Soooo much better than a traditional swing. Baby looooves that it goes side to side instead of just front to back but can also go front to back if she ever decides to change her mind. Only thing that would make it better is if it had some sort of lights and if it could plug into the wall instead of just batteries. However, to say it runs on batteries I have only had to change them once and she's been using it daily for about a month now. I also love the bucket type seat she looks so comfortable in it. Definately a MUST HAVE for any new parent.

We have owned the previous model of this swing and had it for almost a year and a half. It was the best investment we made. Our son literally slept in that swing for naps and through the night in our room all swadled up. This swing went with us on every trip and was put through through so much and always worked like a charm. Now we are expecting a little girl and bought this new model. Hands down this swing is the best value. We have seen this swing price as high as $150 at Babies R Us and they will encourage you to by the replacement plan. Thank goodness when didn't have to pay that outrageous amount. This swing is extremely durable. When we first considered purchasing a swing we researched Consumer Reports. And this Fisher Price swing was rated as one of the best and I concur.

My little one is almost 2-months old, and she really enjoys this swing. Although I have not seen the "instant" calming effect that some have seen when their infants are screaming, I have found that, when my baby is in "idle" mode, she really enjoys the smooth motion, mirrored reflection, soft sounds and moving lambs/clouds. The seat is extremely soft and cozy, which makes her feel very secure when she's in it. I love the fact that the seat has both a reclining and a more upright position to choose from. While I've not used the upright seating position, and have only used the cradle-motion feature thus far, I look forward to using the sit-up and swing-motion as my little one grows. The rocking of the entire swing made me nervous at first, but I quickly realized that it was indeed very sturdy. In reality, the only real drawback I've seen to the swing is the mobile/sounds time-out feature. After about 7 or 8 minutes, the lamb/cloud mobile and sounds (but not the swing!!) will cut off, requiring a restart for continuation. I realize this is for battery conservation, but it would be nice if there were an option to override this feature. Not a deal-breaker, by any means- just one small thing to deal with. All in all, from easy set-up to a plethora of soothing features, this swing is definitely well worth the money!! I highly recommend it!! :)

brought this for my drandson and it was one of the best investments.Until it arrived I had to hold him alot because he was in NICU for 3 months and he was spoiled for the arms by the nurses ,once the swing arrived the first time I put him in he look in the mirror at the top .This swing has kept him busy on a daily basic.He loves the mirror more than the music. Great buy.

Our baby girl is 2 weeks now and not a day has gone by that we haven't used this wonderful swing. I would say this is a must have for all new babies.
