I had to do some serious searching to find out what swings were best. I recently bought my brother the fp butterfly papasan because it had good reviews and was plug in. He said it quick working/swinging well before baby was 15lbs. I researched this one and bought it for our new baby. THIS SWING ROCKS. We love the plug and so far dd loves the swing. The swing itself isn't too loud but the mobile does make some noise, however dd LOVES the mobile at 2 mths old. It still swings her well and she is near 12 lbsand we are only on the 2nd setting so it should go for a good long while. The mulitple swinging positions allow us to change it up on her, and that does help sometimes. I do agree that the light feature isn't the bright but we don't use it at night so no big deal. OVERALL I think this is one of the best PLUG-IN swings on the market.

Our grandson loves this swing. The cradle motion is a plus. He loves the aquarium ball that lights up, the mobile objects that spin, and the music. He's six months old now and has been using it for several months with great enjoyment.

My son has loved this from day one. He likes the side to side or front to back swinging. Don't purchase a swing without this option. He loves the bright colors, looking at the mobile and even when he is swinging front to back looking at the fabric on the back of the swing. It's easy to assemble - I did it 8 months pregnant. Best of all it plugs in, so you don't need to worry about batteries. The fabric on the seat is easy to remove and machine washable. I really can't say enough about this swing. You will not be disappointed. I wish they made these in adult size! The only bad thing about this swing, is that he will eventually outgrow it - but that is true of all swings, not just this one.

My son loves this swing. Has great features. The bright colors are great and the water globe has floating stars and seahorses and changes colors. He loves looking at them and the spinning mobile. The music and speed changes are great as well. The only thing that it needs is another arch on the right side. When the swing goes to the left the bar hits the top of the swing, no matter what speed. Also the feet tend to move in so I readjust those when need be.

My son is 6 weeks old and we have used the swing from day one. At first, the swing went too fast for us so we would just swing him manually. Now he is good and actually smiles when we put him in it, especially at the mobile. We love to see him smiling at the moving mobile and following them.

This really comes in handy when there is only one of us in the house. We love it and would definitely keep it for the next one...in a few years.

I love the theme, the mobile, the different positions you can turn the chair, and the different reclining positions.

I hate the fact that we just bought this today and it won't swing. My son is only 10 pounds. Take him out of the swing, turn it on, and no problem!! I have read alot of other reviews about this swing and 90% are great reviews. We are taking it back tomorrow and hoping for better. We will see. I will make sure to post another comment tomorrow if we have the same problem.

Love this swing. My son sleeps so soundly in it. It does make a clicking sound but I dont care as long as he sleeps in it...and he really does sleep well!! Very easy to clean too. My son spit up all over the seat the other day and I simply removed the seat cover and threw it in the wash.

The simplicity of this swing is what makes it so ideal. It can swing side-to-side and front to back; the mobile is motorized and engaging; and it's affordable. I'm not sure what more a parent can ask for. Can't attest to its durability, as we've only had it a week, but all of the swings we looked at had that same "plastic-it's-not-going-to-last-forever" look. Installation was pretty straight forward, not sure about the reviewers on here who say it's difficult. Does the motor make a sound? Sure, it's not a Mercedes automobile.

This swing has everything. My son loves sitting in it and looking up at the water globe, which lights up, and the animals that rotate. This will keep his attention for a good 5 minutes and will actually put him to sleep. He's very comfortable in the swing. This swing allows swinging in 2 directions, which is great because my son actually prefers the side to side motion. And the best feature of this swing is the fact that you can plug it in. The last thing you want to do is keep replacing the batteries...especially at 2am. I love this swing and would highly recommend it to everyone. The only downfall is how hard it is to switch from one seat position to the next...but he's 3.5 months and still enjoys the recline position.

My baby came early at 36 weeks and was itty bitty, and when we put him in the swing at first it would swing way too fast, but now that he is 9 pounds, it swings him at a better speed. The only thing I don't like about this product is that it is pretty noisy. I really like the fact that it was swing both ways. So overall I am satisfied.

It has all the features of a perfect swing- a mobile that actually moves, can change direction of swing, lights, many different tunes and sounds, and best of all IT CAN PLUG INTO THE WALL! At the recommendation of a friend, we searched for a swing that swung both front to back & side by side. She said that her son didn't like his swing at all that only went front to back. I also wanted a swing that had an AC adapter so we weren't having to go through lots of batteries.

This swing is great - my 2 month old son LOVES it. We use this as both a chair and a swing - most of the time when he's up, we'll put him in the swing in the off mode and he can look around and we can interact with him. When we do turn on the swing, 4 out of 5 times he'll calm down if he's crying and eventually fall asleep. He seems to like it both in the side to side or back to front swinging.

I think this swing works so well, sometimes it's hard to not keep him in it for too long!

Cons:
-Even on the lowest speed, I feel that the swing is really fast. I haven't used it past the lowest speed for fear that it will make him too dizzy.
- When he's fussing, sometimes I have a hard time taking him out of the swing without bonking his head on the plastic fish mobile. Granted his head isn't hit too hard, but not something babies probably like when they're already feeling fussy.

However this swing didn't move at all even on the highest setting. Took it back and got the travel version of ocean wonders and love it. Moves very well and havent even needed the highest setting.

My son has loved this from day 1. As a newborn, he would quickly fall asleep when swinging. Now that he is 7weeks, the swing appears calming to him. The mobile and music also seems to entertain him. We use this item ALL THE TIME. Our 5 month old baby girl has loved it from day one. I mainly chose it because it was one of the only ones I could find with an AC adapter. Love, love, love the fact that I don't have to go through tons of batteries.

I like that is has the 3 options for direction of swinging (although we only ever use the side to side option).

I can see how some people would be annoyed by the fact that the music and/or toys only last for a little while but we are also so close by so it's no big deal to us to hit the reset button (if needed) to restart the toys or music.

Here's a little hint for anyone purchasing this item. We had many instances of the baby throwing up all over and we had to remove the pad for washing. It washed great in the washing machine but we were without the swing for the duration of the washer/dryer. I looked on the Fisher Price website to order the item but it did not show as available. I more recently called Fisher Price and found that they do in fact have the option to buy an additional pad. I really wish I had called them months ago!

My one complaint is that the swing used to make this creaking noise that might go away if we tried slightly adjusting the feet. It seems to have stopped lately...maybe because the baby is getting heavier and weighing down the swing more (???)

Excellent swing. Great that it plugs in (dont have to worry about batteries). Not very heavy, easy to move. Great that it goes side to side and back and forth (baby loves both). Only downside, even the lowest setting is kinda fast, we had to put a heavy blanket in there to slow it down. Our baby loves when we put the swing outside on the patio, great for naps.

It has been a huge help for me with my three children. I feel like she can play (and nap)in this swing and still be a big part of our day! My baby girl loves to swing in this when she is awake looking at her friends(the fishies)and when she is ready to rest! The motion puts her right to sleep when she is ready! I really feel like I could not survive having my newborn and a 5 year old and a 4 year old without this swing. She is in it right now...and happy as can be! I love it!! I purchased this swing for my four month old. Her previous swing (different brand) was returned to the store when the motor failed after only a month of use. She appears more comfortable in this seat, as it's shaped a lot more like a carseat than those on other swings. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is that the music, mobile, and lights turn off after 7 minutes, forcing you to continually hit the reset button. Seven minutes???? Not sure who thought of that, but it can get frustrating to have to sprint back to the swing every 7 minutes to keep baby happy.

I bought this to have a downstairs swing so that I could get some laundry done and such. We have the battery-only version upstairs. I absolutely LOVE that it doesn't require batteries any longer! I wish MORE products were like this.

I will say, however, that I'm CONSTANTLY having to scoot the legs out or pull them forward...push them backwards... SOMETHING because I use it on hardwood floors. As the cradle rocks, it makes the legs walk until it's a LOUD squeaking noise. LOUD... plastic squeaking together noise. I thought about taking it back but... honestly, I love the swing. My son, Benjamin (3 months) LOVES his swing. I just need to buy a rug for it to go on if we want to continue using it without having to move it.

If we were too busy to rock her (especially when she was fussy), we would put her in her swing and she was immediately soothed. I didn't plan to purchase a full-size swing because I thought it would take up too much space. But, after the hospital nurses said that my newborn daughter loved to swing, we went out and bought this swing when she was only 5 days old. She is now 6.5 months and uses this swing typically once or twice a day - she usually takes a 2-hour nap in it and loves it! The best feature is that it has a power cord and can be plugged into an outlet instead of using up lots of batteries. The music is also pleasant to listen to. Great product and worth every penny - one of the best baby items we have bought so far!

We started using this swing when our baby was 1 or 2 months old and she liked it. She didn't pay attention to the toys and aquarium in the beginning but she'd fall asleep easily in it. I like that it reclines and you can plug it in so you don't spend money on batteries. The only two things I did not like are: it swings too fast even on the first speed so I would just push the seat and it would swing for some time. The other thing is that the seat is kind of narrow so it's not comfortable for the baby as he/she gets older. Overall, it's a nice swing.

Great product. Puts baby to sleep when I need a break. The only issue I have is that the swing is a little fast even at the lowest level. I just drap a blanket and it slows it down a bit. Another plus is that it was very easy to assemble once I correctly matched the lower leg to the upper ones.

Pros:
-This model has a wall plug-in option and that's awesome. We had an older model with our first child and it used way too many batteries.
-Seat keeps baby nice and upright (like a car seat) which is great if baby has any reflux issues.

Cons:
-Lowest swing setting is still pretty fast. It works, but it would be nice if there was just a very gentle swaying option.
-Mobile broke after a week (mobile broke early on our other one, too).
-The sounds/light should have a timer and should stay on as long as is needed. Every time the ocean sound stops, baby wakes up, so we have to stay nearby and be able to quickly hit the "restart" button or provide an alternate source of white noise.

Overall, it works, but is expensive to have so many issues.

This swing was a great swing for our baby. I read several reviews, about swings in general and many people seemed to have problems/complaints about swings not working, etc. We never had any problems. Our baby is now 6 months old is at the point now where he can't use it simply because he tries to sit up in the swing, but it was a lifesaver the first 2 months. We were diligent about letting the swing stop on its own after turning it off, and making sure the base was fully opened and it worked perfectly the whole time. Maybe that is the reason others had problems? Oh yeah...and NO batteries! I love the plug in and the songs were so nice that it played. Everyone should buy it!

My 6-week-old daughter Sonja is very fussy after her 4 am feeding, and tends to squirm and huff and puff in her bassinet. The only way to soothe her back to sleep (and trust me, I tried everything!) is to buckle her into the swing, put on the rain sound and she goes right to sleep! One of my friends gave it to us because their daughter loved it, too. Awesome!

Our son had acid reflux and was unable to be flat on his back. This swing allows him to sit upright and its the only thing that gets him to fall asleep and stay asleep. Its best feature is that it plugs into an outlet or we would chew through batteries too quickly.

I loved it! I love that this swing can swing front to back or sideways! This swing has lasted us 4 years and 3 kids!( 2 of the kids weren't ours... but other families kids... we have passed the swing around through all the cousins :) It was easy to put together! Easy to pack up, travel with, and store! Although the actual mobile and music only lasted 2 years and 2 kids it still stayed swinging for the 3rd kid! My husband and I are trying for a 2nd child of our own and we will definately be buying another one of these!!

This is by far the best baby product we've purchased. Outside of his car seat & crib this is our most used baby item. We bought this brand new when our son was about 6 weeks old. Needless to say he loves it! The mobile lights up and keeps his attention especially in the dark. The side to side motion works nicely and tucks in close to the wall out of "the traffic pattern" unlike other swings that don't have the side to side option. Our major pro is that it plugs in! This is a huge life savor, we also have the older version of this swing at another home and it does eat through batteries so the AC adapter is a huge plus. All in all our favorite baby product. And has a high weight limit. Our son is 7 1/2 months and 19 pounds and it still swing him just fine!!

My daughter LOVES this swing! My little one suffered with colic and GERD (acid reflux). This swing was the only thing that would EVER soothe her. She loves the side to side motion and hates any swing that moves back and forth. She also loves to watch the lights above her head and believe it or not, it is hard to find a swing with lights on it. This one does it all for her. The only negative I can think of, is that as your baby grows, the swing significantly slows down from the extra weight, even when cranked up to high.

I got this swing as a gift when my son was two weeks old and i have to say this was a life saver. I am a first time mommy and the first weeks were stressful but this swing kept my baby relaxed and happy. I bought this swing for my 7wk old daughter. I needed something that would help to entertain her when I return to work, and that her grandmothers will be able to operate since they will be taking care of her daily. I love how colorfull it is, and the mobile with the swimming fish and changing lights keep my little girl entertained and happy! She is so comfy in it that on those occasions that she is super fussy and won't fall asleep, this swing has her napping within minutes! The only thing that is a little annoying is that swing will sometimes squeak a little when in motion, but it is not that loud.

Believe it or not this was the FOURTH swing we bought in a matter of two months and this was the winner. We first had the Fisher Price Papasan swing home and it made a strange grinding noise when we turned it on so we returned it. We decided to try the new iglide swing. Ours didn't glide! It moved in a very jerky motion, not at all like the display in the store. We brought it back and traded it for the Graco Sweetpeace. Our daughter our daughter finally arrived and HATED IT! Finally we decided on this ocean wonders and our daughter LOVES it. She loves the motion, the mobile and the little animals in the top. We love that it plugs in!! All in all I wish we would have picked it from the beginning.

My son has slept in this swing many hours, whether he had an upset stomach or stuffy nose (and needed the incline) or just wouldn't stop fussing. He loves to look at the colorful lights and watch the sea life mobile spin. At 3 months he would look up and wait for the fish to move! I hesitated buying this product because the color scheme seemed to be an eyesore but am very pleased and the baby LOVES it!

My baby loves this swing. As early as 2 weeks old, he was watching the mobile and light show. He finds it very entertaining and it buys me at least 20 minutes to shower, wash bottles, etc. He prefers the cradle swinging motion, but I still use it both ways. The nature sounds put him to sleep and I love that the seat reclines so that my newborn can see what's overhead without straining. And best of all, it plugs in!! I gave it 4 stars because we have only been using it for about a month, and are not sure how it will hold up with a bigger baby. Highly recommended!!

Our infant son loves this swing. It relaxes him and keeps him entertained with all the features. It also puts him to sleep and keeps him alseep for several hours. It was easy to put together and the battery or wall outlet option is great.
The only problem with the swing is if you dont have the legs fully seperated it will rock. Also the globe, sounds and mobile are on a timer. Its helpful if you forget to shut it off, but it needs to be a longer limit.

After going through two other swings that my youngest son hated-I searched every where, looked at dozens of swings in person and on line and I finally purchased this one and he loves loves it! we got this for our first son and he loved it! When our second son came along, he also loved it. It was the only thing that would sooth him.
Absolutly worth the money. We did go through alot of batteries so i do recommens stocking up on them. But other then that it really is a great item!

WHEN MY SON IS FUSSY I JUST PUT HIM IN THIS SWING AND IT ENTERTAINS HIM UNTILL HE FALLS ASLEEP. THE FIRST THING HE DOES IS LOOK UP,WAITING FOR ME TO TURN ON THE MOBILE.I LIKE THE FACT IT HAS DIFFERENT MUSIC,THAT IT HAS SOMETHING FOR THEM TO LISTEN TO AND LOOK AT AND I LIKE HOW YOU CAN PLUG IT IN,IT DOESN'T JUST RUN ON BATTERIES. IT WAS ALSO VERY EASY TO ASSEMBLE. THE RECLINING CHAIR IS ALSO A GREAT FEATURE. This swing is a really nice one. I love how the mobile lights up with the little fish in the water above my Daughter. The light isn't too bright and it soothes her to sleep all the time. The only negative thing I do not like about this swing is that it does not come with a plug in adapter. In the description it says that it does, but it does not. Batteries go fast on it because my Daughter stays in it almost all day. So I got re-chargeable batteries. Other than that I love this swing. I love how the seat cradles her unlike some other ones that aren't as secure.

I use the swing daily. My son enjoys the mobile, and likes to be rocked to sleep in it. It really works when he is fussy. The only thing is that the swing is really noisy.

Neither of my older kids (ages 17 and 15 years) liked to be in a swing! I decided not to spend the money on one this time around, why would this baby be any different than his older sister and brother. Well I was wrong! I don't remember what changed my mind and made me order this swing but I am soooo glad I did! My son LOVES it. He rockes and talks to the fish, smiles and is completely entertained!

I picked this swing because I love the pattern (Ocean Wonders), and because it not only ran on batteries but it also plugs into the wall (great $$ saver if your LO likes to swing). The cradle option was another great selling point (its his favorite right now). It was very easy to put together (DH did it in less than 10 min). I can't seem to find anything about this swing that I don't like, yes it is a bit loud but it doesn't bother either of us and you can't hear it at all when the music is playing. I wouldn't have even mentioned it except it was a concern of mine when I read the other reviews before I ordered it.

my daughter is now 8 weeks old and has been using this swing almost from day 1. we bought it because it was the only swing with an AC adapter! best purchase EVER!! she now is at the age where she enjoys the mobile and the fun lights...it keeps her busy for hours! she naps in it and also sleeps in it at night. it swings all night and we couldnt live without it!! she now sleeps through the night (8 hours!!!). we swaddle her first, then put her in the swing. the ONLY downfall: the music stops after a while, and its a bit annoying to push the reset button. BUT she LOVES the ocean waves!!! i highly recommend this product!

This swing was a saver for us at night since our baby girl didn't want to sleep in the crib, only wanted to be held. The swing is still working well for us but my only complaint is it creaks when swinging. Nothing we do is making the creaking stop. Otherwise we love the swing.

I love the 6 speeds, the options to turn the mobile on/off and the music on/off. 2 seat recline positions.

Only bad thing is that it DRAINS batteries. So I finally realized to use the rechargeable ones. No problems now.

This swing worked great for us. It does use up batteries very fast, but we use rechargables, so no complaints there. It's been 6 months, and it just gave out this morning. It just stopped swinging. Need to find a new one today.
