Car seats are always a great debate and there are so many to choose from. I love this one because it's cute, on the cheapish side, and yet durable. I can understand why some are complaining about the scratchiness of the fabric and lack of padding, but to be honest, I like it. It's really not as scratchy as some say, in my opinion. The padding isn't an issue for me. It has enough in it that baby is safe, but if your children are like mine, then the car seats with a lot of padding are just going to make them sweat. My son doesn't have any sweating problems in this car seat. The only thing is the head rest/pad insert. It's great for an older infant that can hold his head up, but for newborns you should buy a seperate head support to put in. I really love this one! It fits great on the Graco Stroller Frame (not the travel system, just the frame).

The colors aren't as vibrant as in the picture but I still think that they are cute! You want a safe car seat, thats what matters the most. The car seat easily comes out of the base with the click of a button, the visor covers baby, comfy, a great buy for the price. I think that the fabric is perfectly fine but for the other reviews of "scratchy" fabric, just throw it in the washing machine a few times! I've owned a Graco infant car seat in the past and they are wonderful car seats, I'm glad to own another.
Dissapointed! I would choose another!

This seat is really disappointing! I chose this b/c we had an older model (our first is 5.5) and we liked it. In addition we had a stroller which it could fit on. The padding is for infants is pathethic, the red handle grips to move the carrying bar are cheap and always difficult to depress (I feel like i'm going to break them and my wife can't depress them), and the carrying bar when rotated up/down also feels likes it's going to come off or break. I do like the straps which attach the car seat, very easy to adjust and I'm not scared of over tightening the little guy in his seat.
I tried to save a few bucks thinking it was the same seat we had a few years ago, but I was wrong. I wish now I'd spent the extra money for a better seat (and not one that will carry a toddler up to 32-lbs in a carry seat..what a waste of money..thats what 5-pt convertible seats are for).

I have bought strollers for all my grandkids. The construction of this one was the same as the other Graco Travel Systems but the fabric was different. It was very stiff and scratchy and I don't think it would be comfortable

I really like this seat i is a neutral color and graco seat are safe and reasonably priced the only thing i dont like is that when trying to adjust the straps you have to do it from the back of the seat other than that i lovee this seat

Sturdy, well-built car seat. The straps are easily adjustable, it is super easy to get in and out of the car, and the fabric cover is washable (for those inevitable overflowings.) Yes, the color in the big picture is a bit brighter than life, but I think the close up swatch picture is true to color.
Cons: The infant headrest insert didn't work very well for my 6lb. 12oz. baby. We rolled up extra cloth diapers to support her head for the first month. Once she got to be about 9-10 lbs. then it worked fine. The fabric is not very soft and makes my baby sweat in even slightly warm weather but that doesn't keep her from sleeping like usual. On those days we just lay an extra cloth diaper behind her back and she stays a bit cooler. However, I have found that washing it a few times slightly improves softness and air flow.
P.S. Don't let the marketing get to you. It is fine for use with a girl, too. I bought these colors because they were more of a neutral and I think it works fine for both boys and girls.

We haven't used this seat yet as our baby boy is not due til October but it is very well made. I love the pattern and colors which are perfect for a boy. The only thing that I wish was different would be that the fabric would be a little softer. Other than that it's great!

I registered for this because I wanted a Graco snugride due to it's reliability and affordability. However, this model has fabric that is rough and does NOT look like the photo above. I was expecting crisp blue colors. Instead, it has a faded, almost stone-washed, look. I wish I had seen it before family members went out of their way to get it for me. Graco does have other snugride 22s available in solid colors.

I love this car seat. It is perfect for my baby boy! The only problem with it, is that the head rest didn't really hold my son head up when he got to be about 5 months old. But, he was born as a preemie, and is now 6 months, and has cried in this thing maybe 3 times! It is a must have for 18 year old/1st time mom! :)
