Swings

Swings are an integral part of our childhood. Before purchasing swings, you must decide which one you want - battery operated or crank model. Frankly, most of them available on the market today are battery-operated.In any case, they should be safe. They must have a solid base to avoid tipping and a safe seat is necessary as well.Other safety features such as rolled towels for stability of an infant's head, will help to avoid accidents when an infant's neck or head can become trapped between the back rest and the bars. The biggest advantage of the crank models is that they can serve lifetime, if they have sturdy, stable frames with tubular-metal legs. And a big plus can be their well-padded reclining seats.

Comments about Graco Infant Swing Tango in the Tongo:
My baby didn't start using this swing until 12 weeks. She is only 18 weeks and it has stopped working. I called Graco and they are sending a new motor which will take 2 weeks. It uses batteries like crazy. Spend a little extra and buy something else.

Comments about Graco Infant Swing Tango in the Tongo:
We received this swing as a gift and it didn't work once assembled, so we exchanged it for a new one. The second one that we brought home only works on a very high speed. That is when it actually works. The swing is very noisy as well.

Wish I had a better swing..

Comments about Graco Infant Swing Tango in the Tongo:
We got this swing as a gift when my 12 month old son was born. I wouldn't recommend using it right away, we waited a couple months to use it, he was too small at first. There were times when he would only fall asleep in the swing, but overall, I didn't care for this swing. Its eats batteries, we gave up keeping batteries in it and just swing it by hand now. There is a clicking sound when it swings, which gets worse when turned on, though my son must have found that rhythmic sound comforting. He doesn't use it as much anymore, he used it mostly up to 10 months. It always seemed a bit shaky to me, I'd have to set it up exactly right or else it would wobble when it rocked.

Okay, but overpriced

Comments about Graco Infant Swing Tango in the Tongo:
We have the Devon pattern of this swing, and it looks beautiful. It works fine but you could probably get just as good of a swing for less money. My son is 4 months and 15 pounds and we put it on the higher settings, and it works fine. He didn't even like it until he was about 2 months old, so we think you could spend less and get the same result. Swings are great when your little one is having trouble falling asleep and you need help, or if he needs to be occupied and wants to be calmed. It has recently started creaking once in a while when it's moving back and forth.

Well Worth The Investment

Comments about Graco Infant Swing Tango in the Tongo:
We like to sit out on the porch when it's nice and our son can sit out in this swing with us. We're free to move around and he's secure in the swing enjoying the ride and watching and learning about everything around him. He hates the straps, but that's the straps on everything. Daddy knows best in this case.

Comments about Graco Infant Swing Tango in the Tongo:
We have not had our baby yet, however we set up this swing and it made an awful clicking sound from the go... Also it was quite small. I liked the material/fabric for future cleaning purposes, however it doesn't seem nearly as comfortable as the others with cloth fabric. We took it back and spent 2x the money on a larger, more durable, and much quieter fisher price model.

Is a good thing for the money

Comments about Graco Infant Swing Tango in the Tongo:
I saw this swing and thought that it would be great for my twins to use. At first, they seemd to love it.
I like the 5 point harness and the 3 different reclining positions with just one hand.
I don't like that as it swings faster, it makes a loud clicking noise. AT times, the noise startles the babies and instead of soothing them, it scares them.
Unfortunately, this product did not meet my expectations.

Great for small babies

Comments about Graco Infant Swing Tango in the Tongo:
The swing is great...only for us it wasn't a great buy. Our baby boy didn't comfortably sit in the seat. The swing is to narrow, slim, its Copact alright. When you slid the tray in there wasn't enough room left from the tray to our son's belly. Especially with a growing boy, this swing was not going to last. Pay the extra $10-15 and get a Hug-N-Love swing those are much wider and roomier for your baby.

If you just want the basics, this is your swing. I strap him in, turn the dial and my son swings to his heart's content.
