I have one suggestion....do not install snack tray, it is pointless and just another obstacle to get baby into swing. The one complaint I have is that when I turn on the seat so that it vibrates on high, it is so loud, so I don't use it I use the low setting.

We had our baby in January and heard that we had to have a swing to help him fall asleep easier. We felt very comfortable buying Graco products from Babies R Us. We got the swing home and I set it up and everything worked great...for a week. The thing died on us by the next weekend. Wouldn't work at all. So I took it back to Babies R Us hoping to exchange for a different model. Unfortunately I had thrown the box away. [...] I was more than disappointed not only with the fact that we were stuck with the same swing but how I was treated in the store. Anyway I get this swing home hoping it would work better. It did..for a while. Soon it started doing the same thing the other one did where it would work sometimes and sometimes not. After a month or two it finally completely died. We keep toys in there now.

this swing was very easy to set up. my husband and i set it up in about 20 minutes. it does take up a good amount of space but well worth it. my son really enjoys the swing now (2 1/2 months old), he didnt really like it initially...he really only wanted to be held or in his basanette. but now that he can see the moving bears and enjoys the rocking motion he loves it. he is in it for short naps, it rocks him right to sleep. definitely a good buy!

this is a great swing. I love the size of the seat. I will be using it for a long time. It has 3 reclining positions, music, water sounds and vibrations, what else do you need. the lab bar clips shut so i feel safe about leaving the room for a few minutes while hes in it. The battery life is ok, no batteries last forever. Lets be realistic people. the swing does its job and is great.

I got this as a gift, but picked it out because it matched my set. It's nice and cute, and it looks comfy but it makes a squeaky noise when its on. I do however like how it has a vibration option. But I would look into other swings.

We got 2 of these swings at our shower. Our baby didn't like it much at first, but we kept both of them, one for downstairs and one for upstairs. When our baby hit 3 months, he fell in love with his swing, and still at almost 8 months he loves it, he naps in it almost every day. Well one of the swings, never worked well, and after about 2 uses it quit working completely. We didn't have time to exchange it with the new baby and no family to help. So we just kept it and would push him ourselves. We changed batteries and everything. Now the other one has quit swinging. The music still plays but no swinging. WIth the swing being so pricey I had intended on using it for all the children I hope to have, but I am going to have to get a new one with just my first!! I also have a graco pack and play and it is falling apart after only a few uses. Luckily our car seat still works!! I don't usually write reviews but felt it might help people not choose these products as they do not last long at all!! Made very cheaply.

We bought this based on some of the good comments we heard about the Graco products. Others are right when they say it is easily put together, and the colors are good. The problem with it is simlar with most who have left comments here. I went and plugged in the swing to make sure it was in working order after putting it together, and I turned it on and pushed the swing back and it swung a couple of times and stopped. I unplugged it as suggested in the manual and waited a few, plugged it back in and nothing. I will keep everyone updated I am on my way to exchange it now so I will update my review after the second go around

My husband and I assembled the swing correctly and tested it before baby was born - swing seemed to work. The day after we brought her back from the hospital, the motor was running but stopped swinging our 6 lb baby girl (we had it plugged in). The swing kept stopping, and the motor must have a major issue that Graco needs to address, according to other reviews and our personal experience. Avoid the hassle and buy another swing.

We got this swing as a shower gift. My husband put it together and it seemed to work just fine. Once our son was born we used it for three days and had to return it back to the store. The motor stopped working all together. We did an even exchange for the same product. Two months later the second one is now not working at all. Do not waste your money purchasing this swing. When my 2 month old fights his sleep it puts him right out! I like that it has 6 speeds and sound. The nature songs help him relax and stay asleep. We keep our house pretty cold so didn't like that when I put one of his thicker blankets on him it slows the swing almost to a dead stop. We also liked that the swing has a plug in or battaries.

Our baby boy will only sleep in his swing. We loved this swing for about ten minutes. Then it started creaking loudly and woke him up. It does this EVERY time!
I've tried oiling it, taking it apart and putting it back together again, sticking Q-tips in the cracks, pushing it between the wall and a toy box to keep it steady.

Nothing like sitting down to relax finally, only to hear your baby fussing because the stupid thing that was supposed to put him to sleep - woke him up!

My six week old baby boy was getting so used to being held all the time. It's my first baby, so in a way he was getting a little spoiled. In a few more weeks I'm returning to work, so I needed something to distract him from being held all the time. The swing did the trick!! It is awful, thought this one would be a good one like most of the Graco product, but apparently not.. .It was in my baby registry and I got it as a shower gift. First up all, Bears were not turning, it is too loud as my kid would wake up and cry.It is not a good swing for new born at all, it will not recline all the way down.I was able to forgive all this but after 2 months it stopped working properly, only speed 2 works now..I will not recommend it.

We purchased this in April 2010 to help us survive my son's colic. While it is a nice design overall and initially seemed wonderful, the sound box gave out after about a week and a half of use. The swing motor didn't seem to work the best even from the beginning; 3 weeks later, it was kaputt as well. We're returning it as soon as we can - it's much too expensive to be this poor quality.

I registered for this swing because I loved the design and colors, it looks great with the decor in my home. After two weeks of using it for maybe 2 hours a day, the motor stopped working.
I called Graco and they are sending me a new motor. I was very impressed with Graco's customer service and that they stand behind their product,however I'm a little worried that this is a common problem with this model.
It's not a fun position to be in when you have a crying baby who will only stop when put in the swing.

I received this swing for my shower and was super excited because of all the features. The week before my baby was born my husband set it up and the motor did not work. We did an even exchange thinking it was a fluke, but the second one did not work either. We wasted a lot of time building the swings and then returning them. When I called Graco they just kept saying, "It's not my fault". It took an hour for them to offer a refund. Overall this swing has been a large waste of my time.

I went with these swings when I had to return my FP Precious Planet swings (one motor wasn't working as well as the other). The FP swings were discontinued so I had to pick two new swings. I decided on these ones b/c they plugged in so I wouldn't need batteries. Once I got them assembled, the vibration piece on one swing didn't work, so i had to take it back and replaced it w/ another piece from another swing, so it's a different color than the swing frame and the other vibration piece on the other swing. It's hard to get to to replace the battery so once the battery died, the vibration stopped too. And the music died on both swings within one week. But I really didn't want to disassemble the swings AGAIN to return to the store so I just let it go. Material on the outside is easy to clean but it's cold so i had to put down a blanket to keep the cold material from the babies heads. Best feature is the plug-in.

This swing worked for a couple of weeks and then all of a sudden I would walk into the room and it would't be swinging. The motor would be off sometimes and making noise at others but the swing was not moving. So annoying!!! I liked that it plugged in but that doesn't help me if the motor doesn't work!!

We purchased this swing when my daughter was a month old. After two months of use, it would turn off mid-swing and the motor would make 'grinding' noises. Turning it off, and unplugging it to restart it would not solve the problem. I returned this swing to the store in exchange for a different brand.

This swing was purchased by a friend of mine as a baby shower gift, I'm 37 weeks along and managed to get it put together myself, so set up was very simple and it collapses easily. It is set up in my living room currently and looks great, it has a wonderful pattern. The AC adapter is great also and the 6 speeds and music seem to be working great, however the little one isn't here quite yet which is why I'm only rating it 4 stars as I'm unsure of exactly how it will work once he's here. I love that the seat reclines to various levels to accomadate infants that cannot yet hold their head up as well as larger infants. The 5 point harness also seems great as it's the safest way to strap your child in. Another great thing about it is that it has the "toy holders" that allow you to place other graco toys into the tray to keep it interesting and new! All in all though, it seems to be a great swing and I am excited to try it!

My newborn loves this swing. The vibration is awesome. We love the fact that we could use batteries or plug it in. The head rest is perfect and is adjustable as your child grows. I don't love the tray, it is alittle thick at the bottom and you have to make sure you spread your child's legs, but it does make it safer- your child can't slip out!

I should have read the reviews before we registered for this swing! I was very happy with the appearance (since I am putting it in the living room) and the mobile is very cute. I actually enjoyed the music and it swings pretty vigorously, which I hear is a good thing. The major bonus for me was that it could be plugged in to the wall and not completely dependent on batteries, which can get very expensive and wasteful too. None of this really matters though when the thing just stops working period. I am so glad I tried someone else's kid in it while I'm waiting for mine to arrive to realize that it is a complete waste. Babies R Us gave us store credit[...]I didn't like any other swings at the store so I had to use the credit for things I didn't really need. I read a bunch of [...] reviews and decided to try the Bright Starts InGenuity which claims their batteries last for an entire year (!!!), we will see.

We just got this from one of our baby showers - so we've only assembled it - baby isnt here yet so havent really put it to any use - but i need help - i dont think i like the tray - it looks like it will get in the way of his legs and just be in the way - how do i get it off once it's on? i've tried to jimmy it off with a flathead screwdriver in the clasp area but no luck at all. any help/ideas???? Much apprecaited! otherwise, looks like it'll work well. i'll be really upset if the motor goes out like others say....

We registered for this swing mainly because it was one of the only ones that had a power plug instead of needing batteries. Let me just say, it was well worth it. My son likes his swing and we have had no problems so far with the motor like other people. We don't use the vibration part often, but sometimes it does help sooth him if he is really gassy.

I have a 10 month old son who has special needs and has difficulty holding his head up and sitting unassisted. What I like about this swing is that it is deep with a five point harness so he cannot arch out of it. It has multiple position recline as well as soothing vibrations. I only wish there was a lock on it so that i could put him in more easily. It was relatively easy to put together (30 min) and is easy to clean. It is nice that it goes upto 25lbs...it will last a long time.

So I have owned 2 of these swings so far. I loved the swing, however they both got returned for different issues.

I loved the fact you can plug it in. (That is a huge money saver for us as my daughter spends about 10 hours a day in her swing because she sleeps there.) I wish the vibbrator didn't require an extra battery, but I could deal as one battery lasted close to 4 weeks.

Swing worked great. However, we weren't able to use the extra padding as my daughter loved to try to eat it, not a huge deal.

Assembly sucked, but I am becoming a pro since we have had to put them together so much.

Love the collapsibility of the swing to. I really wish the chair part could becaome a little smaller, but no swing does.

The first one got returned after 2 short weeks because the vibbrator quit working with a new battery, it started to make a 'clinking' noise when it would swing, and it was getting slower. I couldn't exchange it because they didn't have any instock.

Two weeks later purchased a second one. This one lasted for almost 4 weeks, however we started having problems at 2 weeks. Our wouldn't shut off, what a stupid problem to have, so I would just unplug it when I wanted it off. The vibbrator was super loud, like keep me awake loud. The music would get louder as the night went on.
Once again went to exchange none were in stock and looking for an alertative.

This swing is great! Very easy assembly (able to do it on my own at 30weeks pregnant with twins) and I love the plug-in option...means no constant replacing of batteries. My only complaint is the snack tray. It's difficult to open and close and feel like there isn't enough space between it and the chair. If you do not want to use the tray do not put it on during assembly!!! Once the tray is on it can come back off, but it is very very difficult. It took me about 1.5hours to get the peg out of the joint without breaking the chair. Don't put the tray on unless you know you're going to use it.

I got this swing because of the power plug, I think it is an excellent idea and wish more swings had this. My only complaints are with the toy, snack tray. It gets in the way of the child's legs. My little guy loves to kick his feet and he hits the bottom of the tray. If you swing it out of the way on it's hinge, it hits the frame with every swing. The mobile is too high for small babies. I do like the nature sounds, though some sound static-y. I have never had trouble with lack of power, and my son is now 6 mo old. Obviously, the more your baby weighs, the higher you may have to turn up the power level.

Bought this swing by mistake, it was on the wrong spot on the shelf ~ MISTAKE being the key word. The animal sounds sound like they are posessed and the motor has quit after only 5 short weeks; I expect better from Graco. This swing is great! The best features about it are that it PLUGS IN and the seat material is easy to clean (vinyl). Our son loves to swing in it (it puts him to sleep). The vibration is calming and the song choices are relaxing. We actually use the songs and nature sounds just for background noise even when not in the swing. There is a volume control for the sound so you can listen to it loud or soft. There aren't that many other swing choices that plug in. GREAT BUY!

The swing finally broke tonight. The motor has been slowly dying. My son is 4 months, so we got 4 months use out of a [$] dollar swing. Now the money we were planning to use for a jogging stroller is going to buy another swing. We will NOT be buying Graco. My son loved this swing, unfortunately after using it for a little over a month the music first stopped then 2 days later the motor to run the swing stopped. My son has reflux and this swing was our saving grace. So we broke down and purchased another with similar results.

I think it is a shame that you spend so much money on a product and it breaks so quickly. Now we are off to look at other brands to get another swing.

Additionally, he did not like the tray so my husband took it off. He was much happier in the swing without it. Just a thought.

Didn't have any trouble putting it together and don't have any problems operating it OR getting him in or out of it. We like it and he likes it. Swings too fast for small babies even at slowest speed. Didn't feel comfortable with swing speed until twins were 3 months old. Had to return the first one because plug in part didn't work. Love the plug since burned through the batteries. Great distraction for baby.

This swing saved my sanity! Seriously! We originally didn't register for or get a swing, but in the past week my little girl (3 1/2 weeks old) has become very colicky! The only thing that would soothe her was a car ride or one of us taking turns swinging her while she was in her car seat (she wasn't satisfied rocking in it). And with the thought of her crying (for her and our sake) for 3 more months like this, we decided it was time to invest in one.. It took about a 45 minutes to set up, but only because I was one handed most of the time and my dog was very interested! Definitely not difficult to set up like some reviews have said. The moment I got it together (hadn't even put the mobile on yet) I put her in it, and she was instantly calmed! AMAZING!! The only reason I gave this 4 stars rather than 5 is because the motor isn't entirely silent, but in the swing's defense 1-the nature sounds on the lowest volume are enough to cover it, 2-I think the motor sound is actually kind of calming to her (my opinion). As far as the swining actually goes, its very smooth and I like that if the dog walks by and accidently stops the swing, the motor is made to NOT break, as opposed to ones where you have to used the button to stop it or else it jams up the motor. The nature noises are nice, pretty basic, but at least they're not annoying. The music is fine too, there are some slow options as well as more up-beat options too, which some baby-items don't have. The A/C adapter is great too! The mobile could be cuter (or have 3 different animals as opposed to just one) but it's cute enough for me! =] Also, the colors are great! This is our first baby, and with the hopes of having a boy too at some point in the future, I love that she looks girly enough in it, but a boy could go in it and look just fine as well! Oh and at the store it doesn't say anywhere whether the tray comes off or not, but it does, just fyi! Ok, that's enough, just thought I would share for anyone else trying to

This swing has not been a good product fo us. First, please take your child to the store to ensure they like swinging before purchasing any swing. Our daughter happens to not like it at all. More importantly, after incredibly light use (see above), the prong broke off in the outlet. My child does like looking at the bears, though.

A little hard to put together, but not so bad. The real problem is that the motor is super loud and the animal sounds are distorted...they sound more like monsters comin' to get ya.

In reading the reviews, it looks like the distortion is happening to some other people, too. Bummer - especially because once put together it seems impossible to take apart and send back.

Crossing my fingers that Babies R Us will let us take it back to the store.

We received this as a baby shower present (off our registry). My husband put it together and it didn't seem too difficult. At first, we had the tray attached, but it was a little *odd* using it with an infant sitting in the swing. So we removed the tray...just undo the "plug" that holds it in...and use the seat belt to buckle her in! It's great that we can plug it in and save on batteries. Our daughter is 16 weeks old and loves her swing...set it to #3 and make sure the music is on too!

I was hesitant about this swing due to some reviews but it's great. Easy to assemble just use shorter screws first to attach virbration unit. There are 6 different speeds which is great. The mobile works fine and baby can see it if it is pulled forward. The no battery option is fab as my friend has nonplug and the batteries only work for 1 or 2 sessions. Love security of harness. Baby loved it. Very pleased!!

I'm really confused off of the reviews that were left. We absolutly love this swing! its quiet and has 6 speeds to choose from. The assembly was not too difficult (my 6 year old and I put it together). My 4 month loves the swing at level 4. Someone wrote that the speed 1 was to fast and it's not at al, something must hae been wrong with theirs. It is super slow . The adapter plug in feature is awsome i leave it plugged in most of the time but have batteries in it for when i move it and no plug is available. I say get this swing you will love it! The only thing that was slightly frustrating is that the mobile is not batter operated it swings round on its own using the momentum of the swing. If its on level 1 or 2 it dosnt move much.

I recieved this for a shower gift. My hubby said it was a pain to put together but it was worth it. My son loves it. It will work when he grows. The tray looks like it wont fit a growing child BUT te seat is deep and allows plenty of room. Also, it plugs in which is nice. The reason why this product has a replacement plan is because it gives out prematurely. We have only had the product for 3 months and we use infrequently but the swing goes very slowly and is not a fully functional swing. This product is supposed to go to 30 lbs. My daughter is only 17 lbs now and the swing has basically given out! The songs and sounds are nice however.

Once it's set up, this is a really cute swing. But you need to have patience. It is not easily assebled. I thought maybe it was just me, but my husband had a difficult time trying to follow the directions... they aren't very clear. Great that it plugs in!

Just received this swing today. At first, I was ranting up and down about it. It IS a pain to set up. The directions could have been much clearer. But once thats all done, it looked good.

I decided to test run it. It was great with a lifelike ((6lb)) baby doll in it. Then my 2yr old got mad because I kept telling him he's too big. Eventually he had turned it on and climbed in on his own. To my surprise, it worked!! His legs actually fit under the tray just fine and the swing was working as with the doll ((a little slower)). I didnt let him swing for very long since I didnt want to risk the swing not working when this new baby arrives.

So this swing passed the ultimate test... Toddler swinging. This mommy is definately happy with her purchase.

NEGATIVE:

- Very Difficult to put togheter. I am an architect and it took me 1 hour to finish!
- Instrucctions are not very clear.
- Tray is too big. My baby fits but in a few months his legs may not fit under the tray.
- The mobile is too far away and it's white! I don't thing babyes can even see the little animals hanging!!
- The fabric on the back of the chair is like a velvet and it makes my baby very hot!

POSITIVE:

- My baby does falls sleep in it. So that is a big positive.
- Does not take too much space compare to others.
- The chair is big enough and it has two different size head support pillows.

One of the reasons we bought this swing is because our daughter has reflux. We had previously purchased another swing/cradle (Fisher Price Zen), which she hated because it forced her to lay flat - further upsetting her reflux. This swing is AWESOME because it has several different reclining positions. So far we've only tried the most upright, and she loooovvvvvveeessss it. We put on the heartbeat noise, and within five minutes she was asleep.

Word to the wise: These swings seem to be notorious for bad motors. We actually bought one, set it up, discovered the motor didn't work, and then bought another and switched out the motor. We're returning the original.

My baby isn't here yet, but I'm pleased with the swing so far. I absolutely love that it plugs in so we don't have to pay a bunch of money for the swing, then continuously feed expensive batteries to it. We originally registered for a different Graco swing, but once we saw that this on plugged in and was only $10 more, we went for this one immediately. I am incredibly stupid when it comes to assembling things, but my husband wasn't home and I wanted to put it together and was able to do so by myself in half an hour. I love the sounds and the different speeds, as well as the vibrating features. I can't wait to put my baby in this swing, it seems like a great investment!

My husband and I love the plug-in feature. We were going to buy the fisher price cradle swing, but not so sure about the stability of it and decided on the Graco instead. We are very satisfied with our decision. Most importantly, our baby loves it too!

I really like the fact that it plugs in and no batteries are necessary. The colors are nice. My baby sleeps for 4-5 hours a day in it and at night up to 9 hours. My baby loves the mobile.

I just purchased this swing today after watching it for a couple of weeks. It's quiet, the speakers are nice and my husband put it together in less than an hour. My 7 week old loves it! It has an AC adapter so it's wonderful not to have to buy batteries (with the exception of the vibration feature which takes 1 D battery).....Over all I give it 5 stars..Thanks Graco!!!

We were going to originally purchase a Fisher Price swing, even though I hate the cutesy baby fashion but wanted a plug in swing. I had no idea the Graco sold a swing that plugged in! We narrowed it down to the Deco swing, which is $10 more, and it doesn't have as many recline settings, and it takes 5 D batteries,and doesn;t have an easy recline but was very neutral and would fit well in my living room, then we looked up and saw this swing. The two things that sold me were the easy one hand recline and the fact you need NO BATTERIES!!! My only complaint is that you have to be careful when putting the tray down, you need to make sure the baby's legs are correctly positioned. Or you could do what I did and unscrew the tray off and just use the 5 point harness straps. That option works well for us, I only put my daughter in the swing when she is sleepy, otherwise she doesn't stay in the swing all day and doesn't need the tray for toys etc. The white noise nature sounds are very soothing and do the trick for our daughter who goes to bed every night with a white noise cd on.

This swing worked well when we first got it (about 3 weeks), now speed 1 & 2 barely move. It has been a hassle to try to reach the manufacturer about getting a new part or having the problem looked at. We are researching other swings. Needless to say I am disappointed.

We just received this swing as a gift. My huband put it together last night.[...] Our baby is not here yet but we did test it. It works great with no problems! All of the sounds are wonderful and it swings just fine. It also plugs in which is great! It also has two removable head rests for growing baby. My only complaint would be that the toy bar attaches a little low and looks as though it may touch our baby's legs. However, no one else has complained of that so it might work just fine.
