okay this way hard to put together! my husband was outta town and i couldn't wait! it took me a total of 3hours to put together! but if my husband did it it wouldn't take long, we got this swing before we knew what we we're having, so it's a nice looking unisex swing, little more boyish though and we have a girl! but we wanted to get a unisex one for more kids this is our first baby and she loves the swing falls asleep all the time. it's been a life saver! we've had no problems
It's "OK".... a basic swing.

This swing doesnt have all of the blitz that some others have. It is worth its price I guess. It tends to do the job as a second location swing. For example I put this as a second swing in our upstairs floor to give me 15 min to actually shower! lol But since it doesnt have all the bells and whistles that others have, the baby does get bored. It needs a lot of batteries to operate yet it needs mommy's push to get started. the motor is not strong enough to get the swing going on its own. Its a good investment to get a swing but i would put more money into some of the other brands/types before this one. Its a good pacifier for a baby that is fussy but for short spurts. Also the music and sounds are not the greatest in the line so FYI.
PS: It was a HARD item to put together. def need two people!....and a clear mind because the instructions , at times, do not seem to be as straight forward as they look! If you suffer from pregnancy brain, you will need help wth this one! lol

My husband put this together in about 10 minutes. Very easy. We had a fisher price swing before and this is much better!! Not near as big.
I'm very pleased with this product and do recommend it. Our baby loves it. Worth the $$!!

We have been satisfied with this product on a functionality standpoint. We bought this for our newborn and have really liked the product now that it is working. We were dissatisfied that the instructions on installation were difficult to read and follow. We also had to order 2 swings because the first one was broken (not carried in store) and when the second one arrived it worked, but looked really banged up.
Love it!

This is a great swing. My son LOVES it. It has different speeds, though I never have to set it past 3. it also plays music and nature sounds, though my son doesn't really like the nature sounds. It has a timer for the music so you don't waste the batteries. I've had batteries in it for 2 weeks and I still haven't had to change them and we use the swing at least 3 times a day for different lengths of time.

I registered for this product since it had a nice pattern and would look good in my family room so I could leave it in there and not have it look tacky like some of the other swings. I also have the pack-in-play and travel stroller. I am very satisfied with all of the Gracco fairfield line. The swing not only looks good but my daughter loves it. The swing does have several settings for speed which I loved and the faster she went the longer she napped and was content in this swing. She is 4 months now and I have used it since she was a newborn. Some things that could be better is the recline is not that great but sufficent. The harness system is a bit of a pain but once you get the hang of it and remember to keep the harness straps up before putting the baby in your fine and just one click and they all unlock which is pretty fast. I didn't feel that the swing was too fast or the vibraton was too loud. I also have another swing up in my master bedroom and a vibraton seat(2 seperate pieces) which are both the Fisher-Price Baby Papsan line and to compare the two of them I think the Fairfield wins by far. It has a built in vibraton with 2 settings, better music and more of a choice in music along with a timer for the music and the vibraton is on a separete switch so you do not have to use it all together, which is nice. The fisher price swing is also not as sturdy, the one I have does not have built in vibration on the swing and has a very loud clicking noise to it and the Fisher-Price Baby Papsan Infant Seat has the same noise loudness as the fairfield swing vibraton. But if you just wanted to use the fairfield swing as a vibraton seat you can without having to use the swing also but saves you room not having 2 different pieces cluttering up space. I also feel in compairison that the fairield fabric may not be as plush feeling as the FP swing and vibraton seat but both seats on the swings are just as hard feeling. Also the FP swing does not swing that fast even with new
Don't buy!!!

This is a poor product! The vibrater sounds like a car engine,no baby could rest!Product takes up a large area of floor space and doesn't fold for not in use times.Speeds are way to fast. Thought baby was going to slingshot out. 1st speed is all you can use. Music is lame.Sturdiness is poor to average, large area of space needed so wobbling happens.Only good thing is color.Padding is very thin so you have to add a blanket for comfort.
We enjoy the swing!

We like how it can have 3 different positions and you can adjust the safety straps. Our little 6 week old enjoys the swing. It is nice to be able to move the mobile out of the way when getting your child in and out of it. We love the pattern also. We have the matching travel system.

This swing is pretty standard - I like that you can pick the different speeds. The baby is now 3 months old and loves to fall asleep in it.
Just average

This swing is ok but there is nothing special about it other than it looks nice in your living room. The swing makes a moderately loud clicking noise even on the lowest speed. Also the bears are plain and rotate very slowly so there is little to keep baby interested. A much better option is the Fisher Price Papasan swing. It has a big mirror and a battery operated mobile with bright color animals to keep baby entertained.
So-So Swing

Comments about Graco Silhouette Swing Fairfield:
My 4 week old uses this swing sometimes. One thing I don't like about it is that the white noise volume is far too soft and practically useless. The joints also creak each time it swings back and forth. The worst characteristic of this swing is that it isn't easy to get the baby situated in the seat. The harness is not designed well and given the tilt of the seat and that you cannot lock it to stop it from swinging, it is very difficult to get a baby seated high enough to fit the shape of the seat properly and have the harness fit well.
