My one month old loves this. Whenever she is really fussy I put her in this and within a minute she stops crying and goes to sleep. However, the directions tell you to put it on first and then put the baby in it, but I found it easier to put her in it before I put it on. I fold the sling as per ther directions, lie it on the bed, put her in the flap positioning her diaper where the seam is, lean down, put my head through, position it on my shoulder and stand upright. It is much easier then trying to put her in it and position her correctly while the sling is on me. Another tip, if it looks like her head is all crunched up against her chest...you need to position the sling so that it is actually over your shoulder (covering your shoulder) rather than having the sling up higher by your neck.

It took me awhile until I was able to use the HotSling. My 6 month old son fits comfortably in it and he's a big boy. He likes sitting on my hip when he's up and alert and likes to lay down in it when I'm feeding him bottle and for him to sleep in. I take it with me whenever I leave the house and it's very stylish.
