I got this off my baby registry. My little boy hasn't come yet so I can't comment on its use, but the fabric is cheap and a little coarse and the print is gaudy. It doesn't look like the picture online. [...]Something to think about. I still hold out high hopes that even though it may not look the way I want it to that it will hold baby comfortably and safely.

I had tried the other slings with my older sons and never had much luck. But I had seen another mom with one of these and she raved about how comfortable it was to carry around her ONE YEAR old daughter. I was sold. I logged on and found them...love the stylish prints and choice of colors. Baby loves the way he snuggles next to me and he almost instantly falls asleep when I go shopping and generally stays asleep. It also keeps peoples' hands safely away from him (you know, the ones that like to touch and pinch) and pulling it a little over his face keeps him free from the sun. I don't really have to say this, but it is great to keeps hands free...when shopping or even at home when doing housework.
Just to be fair, here are my criticisms and warnings: I placed my order thinking the sizes were based on baby, not me. I got a 2 and when it arrived, I was a little nervous because I found out I should have had a 3. It worked for me however because as baby gained and I lost, it has come to fit fine. MY POINT IS, CHECK THE SIZE! For the negative...this is simply a long piece of fabric, sewn together and then folded in half. If I could sew, I would make my own. But I can't, so I am spending the money on a second one...BUT if you or someone you know can make this for...the yard of material is a lot cheaper. =)

This sling works great and is simple and easy to use. If you are inexperienced with slings/wraps/etc, like I was, then I would recommend this one to start. I use it every day to carry my son to the car, calm him down when he's fussy, do work around the house, or for walks. He really loves being in it, and it feels very safe and secure. Because it spreads out across your back, the weight is distributed more than it first seems. Also, this color is really beautiful! It does need to be line-dried as it shrinks in the dryer.

I LOVE this sling. I have tried a number of other slings/carriers on the market and none of them compare to the ease of use, security and comfort of the Hotsling!! My son is four months old and we use it almost everyday. When he was a few weeks old he would cry in his carseat making it impossible to go into places without him screaming. He was too young to sit in a stroller so I searched for an alternative. I found the Hotsling and as soon as I would put him in it he would stop crying and usually fall asleep. I started using it around the house especially during the fussy time in the evening. I could feed my other little ones dinner while he was nestled in the sling. I feel as though he is very secure and can be hands free!!!!! He is four months old and I use it everywhere I go, shopping, parks etc... It is my new baby gift for all my pregnant friends and family.
