I was so excited when I got this! The excitement faded quickly when I realized that the American version does not come with carrying straps, so this is not really portable. It has a little plastic anchor to keep it from rocking back and forth, but to tell you the truth, the baby would have to have super strong abdominals to get any kind of motion from this. There is also nowhere you can hang little toys to keep the baby occupied. The tilt is such that if the baby wanted to sleep in it, his head would bob side to side, as the side pillows are too wide apart to offer any support. The strap that goes in between the legs is also very short, so it has to be secured too low on the baby's hips, again not offering much support. I've only used this when the baby is already calm and happy, just to put him down for two minutes while I wash my hands or something. Anything longer than that and the baby gets bored.
