Gets the job done

My son slept in this bassinet until he was about 2 1/2 months old. Worked well for us and he seemed comfortable. He didn't seem to enjoy the music or vibrations, but we still liked the bassinet. My only complaint would be that the hood is very loud and would wake him up if I adjusted it while he was sleeping.
It's ok

The frame is bulky and wide. I like that it rocks back and forth but hated the fact that I could not get the bassinet close enough to my bed to easily reach the baby. The vibration setting goes from high to low so when you first turn it on it may frighten your baby. Also, not sure if all bassinets are like this but I would check the height of your bed vs the height of the bassinet. This bassinet is higher than my bed so it wasn't easy to just look over or reach over to check on the baby. Also, the bassinet mattress bends easily so if you are trying to change the bassinet sheet with something other than what was provided you may get discouraged because the mattress bends (it will eventually fit you just have to kind of play with it to flatten it out).
It's ok....

When I first saw this bassinet I loved the fact that it had organic cotton and etc. However the bassinet needs more work then I thought. I have this bassinet besides me in our bedroom and the bottom of the bassinet is very bulky. The fabric on the bottom of bassinet is rather cheap and holds on fine fabric ties. My son turned 4 weeks today and it broke when he was around 2 weeks old. The vibration is way too loud and starts on high vs. low to high. It scares the baby. The music is great but only plays no more than at least 45 seconds, not even long enough to get the baby to sleep. The mattress is very thin and my baby seems to not like it very much. The smalls toys are very cute. The cotton is very soft. Other than that I really wish I could have a different bed for him. Not the greatest.
Love It!!!!

This bassinet is more than I expected it would be. My favorite feature is that the top part comes off so that if you are traveling, you can take it with you so that baby can always sleep in his/her bed. It has been so convenient!!! We never use the vibration/music because honestly, our son really just doesnt care either way.
I love the fact that it rocks also. It is nice to be able to gently rock my son as he drifts to sleep. This does mean that it has a wider base, but nothing can be perfect, can it? ;)
I would highly recommend this bassinet!!!
Great Item

I have the whole sleepy safari collection and the bassinet is a great item. Not only is it so cute it has many benefits. A great feature it has is a music player that plays a variety of sounds. My son falls asleep to the heartbeat sound everynight and it is so nice to rock him to sleep while he is inside as well. It also is not too big for my bedroom. It does need a bassinet pad though because it was a little too hard for my son to sleep on at first.
don't go with this one

Base is to wide, not in arms reach from parents bed. Vibration is to forcefull and loud. Zero light. Music player is a pain, especially hard to manage in the middle of the night. For my 3rd child, got as a gift, trying to exchange. VIBRATION GOES ON FROM HIGHEST LEVEL INSTEAD OF LOW TO HIGH....QUITE AN INTIAL SHOCK EACH TIME ON BABY
It's okay

I haven't used it for baby yet, but I just assembled it and it's not as hard to put together as it seems. To avoid frustration, use a small handled phillips screwdriver (like a #2). I wish the legs were more solid, but they seem sturdy. I'd measure the space you want to keep it in first because it is more bulky at home than it seems to be in the store.
frame too wide

Comments about Natures Purest Comfort Bassinet Sleepy Safari:
The frame is so wide, it does not fit through a standard door way when assembled. I could not move it to any other room without damaging my walls. The mattress is very thin but I think most are. My daughter did not like it.
Not hard to assemble

First, this bassinet is not hard to put together I did it all by myself at 35 weeks, you DO need an electric screwdriver or it WILL take longer. Not sure why all the women on here who's husbands helped put it together are having the most issues(?) Second, the mattress pad is fine for a newborn you can't have a soft pad for a newborn, if it bothers you then put a blanket under the sheet. I do agree it is on the large side but I live in a 2 story house and I purchased this to be in my room only, I bought the Sleepy Safari pack-n-play for the lower level I love that too.
Good, but unneccessary.

Comments about Natures Purest Comfort Bassinet Sleepy Safari:
This product is as good as many other bassinets. It's sturdy and will not collapse on the baby. It has tall walls to keep baby from reaching its limbs out.
I love that it has locking, retractable wheels, which allow for rocking, rolling, or standing still.
However, my son could have cared less that it played music, made noise, or vibrated. I think that often times we buy things for our own amusement. I found, after little time, that the bells and whistles on this item were completely unnecessary for his comfort. Also, my husband and I are all about nurturing development. High contrast is best for the first months of a child's life while their eyes are developing. The colors on this bassinet are too soft to get his attention until he had almost outgrown it.
Overall, I would say pass on this one. It's early and it won't be used long. Save some money and stick with the basic necessities (safety, comfort, and function) when making your selection.
Thin Mattress

I love the bassinet but was disappointed in the thin mattress. I went to the Summer Infants website, and they sell a Bassinet Essentials Kit through the Babies r us website. It comes with a thicker mattress, water proof pads and sheets. The kit is nice and conveniently priced, though I don't appreciate having to purchase a comfortable mattress separately.
Sturdy but cumbersome

Comments about Natures Purest Comfort Bassinet Sleepy Safari:
Its very sturdy but way too bulky, the rockers are large and too wide to fit through doorways so build it in the room you want it in.
My husband had to take it apart to fit it in the doorway to our bedroom!!! Hard to push it out of the way when you need to.
Also the noise machine is very garbbled, sound bad too much background noise. The hood to the bassineyt is noisy to move up and down so make sure it is where you need it to be before Baby is sleeping.
On the flip side it has a lot of storage room in the pockets below, always good!!!
over priced and poor quailty

This product is not safe. Keeping in mind my daughter was a preemie so it should have lasted past 5 months for her. However the leg bolts weren't strudy and seems to loosen when the craddle was rocked. In short its in pieces and impossible to repair. I should have listen to my motherly voice and returned it.
love it

My newborn sleeps in this bassinet at night and for some naps during the day. I love that it has wheels and can rock, too. The neutral colors are great. The pad is very thin, but my mother in law went to babies r us and bought a thicker one. She had no problem matching the size. Overall, this bassinet is great.
Serves its purpose...

The bassinet is gorgeous. Some of the problems with it was that the padding on the bed part was very hard and so i had to use blankets to soften it up. Another thing I wasnt so crazy of, was the music player; it was annoying and the baby didnt like it either. But it was perfect to have him nap in while I was doing stuff around the house.
I adore this bassinet!! It is great!!!!

This product is wonderful!! I looked at a lot of bassinets before i selected this one. It is sturdy yet is nice and light. The whole bassinet (legs and all) is big to move but you can detatch the actual basket if you want to use it in another room. The screws were a little hard to get in so i used a screw gun to get them started and finished with a screw driver so i didnt strip the screws. The direction were great and it was easy to assemble. The cotton is super soft and it is easy to take apart to clean. The basket on the bottom is great for storage. I have a small room and it fits nicely because it is so light it is easy to move if i need to. The matress is kind of thin but a baby doesnt need a super soft mattress (it increases the chance of SIDS)it is very suportive and doesnt seem to be uncomfortable. Over all i love this product and would purchase it over and over but i think it will be able to be used for more kids down the road.
Great Bassinet

I had to get a bassinet the day my son came home from the hospital since he came 2 weeks early and on the day we moved apartments. It was very easy to put together since both my son's father and I were severely sleep deprtived. Its organic, which was a HUGE selling point for us, and my son loved it. It has wheels so it was easy to move around the house when he was first home, and the wheels retracted so that it could rock, which was a god send when he was a little older and I could just rock him back to sleep. My son just turned four months and has recently grown out of it, but loved it while he fit in it!
It's Ok...needs improvement!

Comments about Natures Purest Comfort Bassinet Sleepy Safari:
I strongly agree with others. The legs are too wide and hard to transport from room to room. Also the mattress is made too thin. I tried gettig a better quality mattress but no other mattress fit. This mattress is an odd shape, longer than the average bassinet mattress sold at stores. The vibrating feature is a lil annoying. It vibrates too loud and wakes up the baby. The fabric is soft which is a plus and the characters are really cute. Good for a Boy or Girl! Product does need some improvement. I only recommend it if you have a lot of room next to your bed. If your space is limited like ours, shop around...
