I love the Playtex bottles. I have used them on all of my children. My oldest child is 16 years old.

This set is a good starter. It gives you a variety of neutral colors for nursers, different sizes (8 and 4 oz), liners in both sizes, and nipples for feeding at different ages. Not to mention, latex as well as silicone nipples. And I honestly do believe that the Playtex system helps reduce symptoms of colic. My second son was colicky and it was no picnic!

So for any mom out there who is considering the Playtex system, this is a very good place to start.

These are the WORST bottles EVER....I exclusively breastfed for 3 months and had several problems with these (it only took me about a week and a half to get so frustrated that I threw em out!)....they don't seal up right for milk storage and your milk freezer burns and they will suddenly collapse in the middle of a feeding and soak the baby, making them so mad in the process. And did I mention that it is IMPOSSIBLE to mix formula in them when you have to supplement. You have to mix it in something else and pour it in ...it's also impossible to know how much your baby is eating or has eaten once feeding begins because the bag draws up...very inconvenient to travel with, you have to pack the liners plus the bottles and the water and formula because if you premix it or try to go ahead and put the water and liner in place I can almost guarantee that 99% of the time the bag will collapse and soak EVERYTHING!...and in the middle of the night they are a PAIN to have to fool with....trust me, Dr. Brown's are the BEST! They may be a little bit harder to clean but they are worth it to fight reflux and colic..... the only good thing I can say about the playtex one's is that the nipple shape closely mimics the breast.....but now Dr. Brown's has mastered that too and reshaped their nipple so that it too is shaped like the breast.... trust me, don't waste your time or money on these.....you will DESPISE them!

I am a first time mother, and was very successful at breastfeeding but when it came time for me to go back to work, I began pumping but because my baby was used to the slow flow of breast feeding every bottle i tried would cause him to choke because of the fast flow. I tired The First Years Soothie set, stage one nipples and they still choked him, i tried several brands and these are the onle ones that work. He can go from the breast to the bottle and it doesn't bother him. So we can do both. Great product for breast feeding moms!

They also work with Medela, Lasinoh, and Gerber breast milk storage bags, so that all you have to do is warm up the milk, drop it in, and feed! And last, but not least, they have a range of different nipple choices so that you're not stuck with just one kind. You can experiment and find your child's preference.

I was excited when I ordered these bottles. I have twins so I ordered two sets. My twins were 4 weeks old and had been breastfeeding and supplementing using regular nipples. They would not use these nipples. I think if they had started on them it would've been fine. I like the drop in system, but it just didn't work for us.

I loved them , bought them for her because of my experience. she'll love them. the baby isn't here yet. but im going to buy another. so she isn't always cleaning. you need two sets. the refills are cheap and you get alot. get the bottle warmer they do not want you to use in microwave.

Be aware that you will get several different colors if your buying for a baby shower for a boy and want purple than these are ok I got 2 purple 1 8ounce and 1 4 ounce a green 4ounce and an8 ounce and than just 1 blue 8 ounce and I have opened them to stuff a diaper bag with so can't take them back they do come with 5 liners apiece 8 ounce and 4 ounce like i say the only complaint that i have is there is purple ones and I didn't realize that there was purple in them. There Lavender instead of purple

It's certainly worth the money spent, and I believe that the bottle inserts are around $6-$7 when purchased in the store, and are sold in a box of 50. However, you might note that I have only found boxes of either the 8-10oz OR 4oz...I'm not sure they carry an assorted pack, so you will have to buy a box of each.

My son is 16 months old, and i've been using these bottles since shortly after he was born, and I mean the SAME bottles, AND nipples, and they are still in great condition.
-Very easy to clean. You can buy extra nipples and just change the bag and nipple whenever you are too overwhelmed and busy to sanitize the bottle.

-Very convenient for travel.

-heats up and cools down in a few seconds, when placed in hot or cold water.

-i squeeze the bag upwards until the milk get to the tip, then give it to my baby, not one bit of air is sucked.

-If you want no leakage for older babies once they flip the bottle, you can buy the nipples that have a Y cut.

I'm getting a new pack for my new baby who's due soon. nothing compares to the value of this product, or the effectiveness and time saving.

After I my son wouldnt latch on anymore I had to switch to bottles and I was had no idea which bottles work beast. I wanted him to think he was still breast feeding to an extent and I wanted something easy to use and travel with. Several new moms recommended this product and they work wonders. I love the fact that you can squeeze the air out (you cant get it all out but majority of it) and I dont have to worry about him getting unnecessary air. He prefers to sylicone nipple compared to the latex but the bottles are a dream. I got two gift sets and I use them all!

I originally purchased this set with the intention of breast feeding. I was only able to breast feed for 2 months before having to switch to formula. The best thing about it is the convenience! I don't know too many new mothers who have the time to constantly wash bottles in the blur of everything else. I use one liner a day to help save on money. Another great thing is the variety of nipples. I don't like the clear ones because they would get stopped up and my daughter would get frustrated. I really really like that the caps are small and don't take up alot of room in a diaper bag. The caps stay on very well and so you don't have to worry about it popping off in the diaper bag and leaking everywhere.

These are the best bottles ever! I used these bottles with my 3 year old and saved them for our next child. All I had to do was get new nipples when our twins were born. What a life saver these where when the twins came! I could hold a baby and make a bottle at the same time with the drop in liners. I also brestfeed all three of my children and any of the storage bags that I used fit perfectly. When ever anyone asks me about the type of bottles I use I always tell them. You can not get better than these! Even with twins I did not have to buy more bottles because I could just replace the nipple and liner and it was ready to go. My twins were born at 35 weeks and have always used these bottles either with breastmilk or formula. The liners can get expensive but the store brands work just as good until the time that 8oz does not satisfy the baby and then the expandable 10oz liners are perfect.

My parents purchased these for me because my mom had used them in the past for both me and my sister (yes drop-ins were around 30 years ago! I was surprised too!) and had good luck with them. The bottles were incredibly easy to set up, but actually a bit annoying to use. It is all because of the liners.

1. If you are using a new box of liners, the first half of the stack is already half colapsed. This means that you have to reshape it so you can get the right measurement of water to make the formula. Either that or pre-measure the water in a measuring cup.

2. You have to squeeze EVERY LAST BIT of air out of the bottle before you give it to your baby. If you don't, baby will get air which results in gas which results in colic. THAT gets you a screaming child.

3. If you are going some where, and you put the bottle in the diaper bag, make sure it stays upright. All the time. If it falls over for whatever reason, it will leak. Everywhere.

4. The liners get expensive after a while. My two month old daughter goes through 8 bottles a day. My store only sells the box of 50 liners. I was going through a box every six days. At $5 a box, that equals out to approximately $35 a month in liners alone. If you do not make a lot of money, or you are on FMLA and are not getting a paycheck, that is way too expensive!!

I just recently swiched to the ventaire bottles. A package of 3 cost me $12. The best thing is, I have a dozen extra nipples from the drop-ins that I purchased (this nurser set only comes with ONE silicone slow nipple, ONE latex slow nipple, ONE medium latex orthodontic nipple, ONE fast latex nipple and ONE fast silicone nipple. Not good if you have a latex sensitivity) Using the 'wide' style bottle, I can use the nipples. Not a total waste after all!

This is a great starter set, although I wish it had another 4-oz bottle (it includes 2) since we don't need the 8-oz bottles yet. The nipples with this system mimic the breast, and my son has had no difficulties switching between nursing and these bottles. These bottles don't come with any bottle caps, so when storing the bottle in a diaper bag, it is hard to keep the nipple clean!

I love these bottles, they are the best bottles. They are easy to assemble and easy to clean. They reduce gas and spit up because you can squeeze all of the air out of the bags after you put the milk in there which leaves it so that your baby isn't drinking any air. These bottles are wonderful for travel also.
