I worked in a daycare where a child had these. I thought that they were silly at first. If a pacifer drops on the floor just wash it off... but what happens when other children steal pacifiers out of other children's mouths? These are great if your child goes to daycare. If they drop it, another child cannot grap it and open it. Yes, they are too big for new babies but they are great for older babies. They are really good when a child is in the "oht ohh" stage and they use their pacifiers. The baby will eventually learn how to open it back up. If your child is in a play-pen at home then why not use another product so they can stick the pacifier back in their mouth? These are great when going out though and I bought my niece some! :)

These are bulky and a pain to use. They snap closed when they are very lightly touched and my daughter gets very frustrated with them!

This product was more interesting to play with than suck on for my 8 month old daughter. It works in a pinch though if I can't find a regular pacifier. I like to take it places because if it falls on the ground it does clap together perfectly and saves it! :o)

There's only one thing wrong, they're made to big for my newborn mouth of just (10 days old). They seem to cover her whole little mouth.
So I've had to put them away for now, and use another product. Though I can't wait to actually be able to use them instead, and they are so cute too!

The theory of the pacifier was very intriguing. The problem is, once I gave my daughter this pacifier and she dropped it, it closes, then she picks it up and wants to use it again, and does not have the ability to get the "jaws" back open that close around the nipple. Which actually mades her very frustrated. For example, while in her playpen, a clean environment, once she hits it or touches it, it snaps closed and she is unable to use it.
In theory, it sounds great, but it is not "user friendly" for the child...

The idea behind this pacifier is great, that it closes when dropped, but this feature actually makes it very bulky and my baby didn't like it at all. The part that closes when dropped are the wings on the ladybug, and they are wide and bulky and press into my daughter's face when she tries to suck on it...so she can't get the pacifier into her mouth very easy or very far, so it completely defeats the purpose because she refuses to use it!
