What a waste of money!

I bought two and they didn't last one airline trip. They were both shredded along the same side. I only checked them once on a one-way flight. I don't think they would have lasted the trip home. I should have never given away the non-wheeled bags that survived over a dozen airline flights.

I decided to give this product a try despite the negative reviews. Let's just say after one way of a round trip via airplane the bag had holes along the bottom (and I DID heed the recommendation to pull it zipper-side down per the instructions). The material is not durable, the wheels are awkwardly placed and the shoulder straps are NOT comfortable (could use some padding). Great idea, but needs a lot of tweaking.
NOT WORTH BUYING

This bag came off its first flight with holes in it and it ripped on the way home during its second flight. It is cheaply made and not worth buying!

We purchased this for a trip to Ohio because we were travelling with 2 children. Out Graco Cargo booster/carseat fit without problems, although it was not easy to place the seat in and out due to the bag design and zipper placement. The bag survived the first leg of the journey, but on the return trip suffered a tear in the bottom. We bought it because we wanted something easy to carry and to protect the carseat we were having checked. Even with rough handling from airport baggage handlers, this bag should last more than a single round trip flight.
Not worth the money

We have an Evenflo carseat and it barely fits in this bag, and it is a real pain trying to cram it in the bag in the airport parking lot . In addition, the bag seems poorly constructed and material cheap. The wheels are pretty useless. I recommend parents spend a little extra for a heavier canvas bag with better wheels - I am shopping for one now!
Disappointed

I was pregnant & traveling solo with an 20 month old. Didn't think he'd stay in the airplane seat so I bought this. I needed the hands free backpack feature to get thru the airport pushing the stroller. Cut into my arms pretty bad. Took it off the second I was to the gate. Our Evenflo Triumph car seat didn't even remotely fit. Had to borrow a friend's Graco seat, which fit but just barely. Got us through the trip, but it just wasn't what I had hoped for.

We have a Britax Boulevard, and it barely fit in, and never really was able to zip all the way. The TSA scanner was not able to see through it (going and coming) and as a result we had to take it out and put it back in while trying to keep our toddler entertained, when we had to switch planes and dragged it through the airport, it zig zagged, never went straight (couldn't get it through the aisles of the plane either), and the bottom wound up ripping as a result. It was awful, I would never buy it again.
Not at all durable

This is my second purchase. The first one became unusuable on our last trip as the zipper broke. (It has only seen three roundtrips.) So we had to purchase another before we could return home. The new one - already has a hole and a broken zipper. Unbelievable! It only saw a one-way with no stops. Oh, and it is a VERY tight squeeze. The second seems to have shrunk from our first.
GARBAGE!!!!

used this to tote 2 Britax(Advocate and Boulevard) carseats through the airport. it served its purpose to make the carseats easy to carry. however, the bags are so cheaply made that they ripped after one way! the wheels wouldnt fit through the security belt in DFW (they fit via LGA) so we had to unpack the carseats...a real pain with 2 kids! the seats do fit into the bags easily, which made curbside packing a breeze! Quick note: put carseats in face first, its a tight squeeze (like a glove) but it fits without fighting.
Poor Quality

The backpack option is what made up my mind to purchase this product, it was so easy to carry through the airport. Having said that, I was only able to use this twice before the zipper busted off. We have the Britax Advocate and the bag is just too small. If the bag was just a little bigger it really would be a great product.
Works great, easy to use alone

I used this to fly alone with my two kids (ages 2 and 9 mo). I lugged both Britax Boulevard carseats through the airport, gate checked the seats, and got them back in pristine condition. This case saved the trip. It was easy to handle two seats and the stroller and was pretty easy to get the seats in and out of the bag.
NOT for Britax Boulevard

Comments about SafeFit Car Seat Tote:
I bought this bag today in hopes of transporting my toddler's Britax Boulevard on an upcoming flight.
After reading the largely-negative reviews I decided to uninstall the carseat (don't you hate that!) and see for myself if the bag fit.
In the rear facing position I was just barely able to squeeze it in. It was an incredibly tight fit-- tight enough that I'm not satisfied with it and am going to return it. (I think the zipper would quickly pop.)
Also, part of why I purchased this bag is because the backpack-like straps looked like a good idea. They were very uncomfortable and the latches dug in to my shoulders. If you buy this bag plan on wheeling it rather than wearing it like a backpack. Seems like it would be a decent bag for infant carseats, but definitely not my Britax.
terrible design

I used the car seat holder to travel from Pgh to NY this past weekend. It was better than nothing, but the design is terrible... To me, a car seat is way to heavy to carry on my back. The wheels are a good idea, but the handle is incorrectly placed (right on top), so that when you try to roll the car seat, it drags in front, and there are 2 small holes in the bottom already. would pay more for a different product that works better!

I had bought this bag flying by myself with our 23mo old son to go visit my husband in TX. I was very skeptical about buying it due to some of the reviews I had read but did not want to spend $91 to rent a car seat either. This bag held up great, I had asked for a fragile sticker to be put on the bag when checking it. It only had a few minor snags on the bottom of the bag but nothing not to be expected when you know how luggage gets handled. I would recommend this bag to someone who is traveling and does not want to pay for a car seat rental. I just had to tell myself well if it dont hold up like some of the other reviews say, I'm only out of [$]. Alot loss than to rent a car seat.
Saved our trip

This tote saved our trip. The morning before our flight my husband figured out that the car seat box we planned to check in was exceeding airline luggage limits by 3 in. He rushed to the store and bought this tote. We tried which carseat would fit in it and both Britax Roundabout and Alpha Omega Elite convertible did ( it was not a lose fit but we zipped the tote up without any problems.) One way the Britax was cheched in and labeled as "fragile" on our demand and recieved at the destination without any damages. On the way back the airline told us to leave the carseat at the gate. We had to take the carseat out of the tote in order to pass the security gate (taking the seat out and putting back in took less than 2 min.) After that we just rolled it to the gate. Upon arrival my husband stayed to pick up the luggage
and I took the tote - good it had wheels, a stroller with the baby and 2 carry on bags and went to our car. By the time my husband got the luggage, the carseat was already installed! I can't imagine how would we make it without this tote and its neat features. If your carseat fits in this tote and airlines treat your cargo with respect, this tote can go a long way.
Worked very well!

I purchased this in the store right before traveling alone with my 14 month old. I was going to two different cities in two different states and had 4 flights total. I worried about getting her and all of her stuff through the airport. This bag worked well. The seat (Britax marathon) was a bit hard to get in to the bag, but I just worked at it slowly and hoped for the best. The seat was almost too tall for the bag but it fit. I tried it out in the store to be sure though. Most of the time I used the bag as a backpack because I was also pushing her in her stroller. The straps do not have any padding and so they kind of dug into my shoulders, but I may try to modify that some how before our next trip in July. I did wheel it through the airports when I got to my destinations and the wheels held up just fine. I gate checked the seat in the bag twice, used it on the plane once and then checked it once and the bag did not get any damage at all. It was easy to remove the seat from the bag on the plane and then easy enough to put back when I needed to. Traveling alone with my baby would have been much harder if I had to carry the marathon through the airport of find some other way to make my way.
Best one!

I didn't read the reviews either - boy was that a mistake! My car seat DOES NOT FIT. Silly me, I didn't check until we were at the airport. We have the recaro signo car seat and it needs another 5 inches in height (at least). I'm taking this back and trying to get something else. I am sure to do my research first!

I too did not read these comments before purchasing. It looked like a good buy, with wheels n all. I got it home and tried to put our toddler seat in the bag , It DID NOT fit. The zipper popped off! I will have to return it today (The Day Before Our Flight) and look for something else. I WOULD NOT recommend this travel bag!!
Britax Companion and Base Fits - Barely

Comments about SafeFit Car Seat Tote:
My Britax Companion and base fit in this bag, but it's a tight fit, especially because of the anti-rebound bar on the base. We'll have to see how it holds up going through airport baggage. I could see where any bag with wheels would drag on the ground a bit, and the backpack-type shoulder straps would be more useful. I'm 5'2" and 110 lbs., and I can carry the bag on my back. It's a bit heavy, but doable. The straps for carrying are rather uncomfortable, though, and I'm not sure how sturdy they will be.
