Try getting a lap belt through the rear facing passthrough. Cut my hands up real good. Will be returning this thing today.

Fits in my Dodge Neon

Comments about Safety 1st Alpha Omega Elite Convertible Car Seat Titanium:
This seat was a little tricky to install, but that is because it's the first seat we've ever installed, and we had no idea how to use the latch system (and based on the reviews on all other car seats, they all have their installation difficulties). Once we figured out how to use the latch system, however, it was a breeze. Adjusting the belts are so easy once you realize there is a strap in the front, that with one push of a button the belts can be tightened if the strap is pulled, or loosened if you pull the belts out. It took us a while to really secure the seat with the latch system, but once my husband tightened it, it was super stable.

The cushioning on this seat is AMAZING. Other in-store models do not compare to the cushioning this seat provides. I am 7 months pregnant now, and I intend to use this seat with my son as soon as he is born. I believe the cushioning has to be removed once they grow out of the rear-facing positioning, but for an infant, I know the cushions it has are one of the best out there.

I also read reviews on a few sites saying that this seat was a tight fit in SUVs. I have a Dodge Neon (a very compact four door), and although I can't say that two other people will fit super comfortably in the back with the seat, I can say that it doesn't bump into the front seats at all (rear facing), and my mom fits next to the seat just fine (she's a little petite).

I will probably review again once my son is born, but as of right now, the seat seems like a wonderful buy all around. Very sturdy, very comfortable, easy to install (if you know what you're doing), and very easy to recline.

We bought this seat when our son was 6months old and he is now 3. He loves his seat. It's so easy to pull the handle when he fall asleeps so his head won't flop.... I think this was the best carseat we've purchased. Our oldest is 15 and carseats have come a long way since then.

GREAT car seat for the money

Comments about Safety 1st Alpha Omega Elite Convertible Car Seat Titanium:
We bought this car seat when my daughter was one and big enough to sit facing forward, so it may not be a good seat for infants.

I was driving a VW Jetta when I bought it and it fit just fine. What impressed us immediately was how much more padding it had than many of the more expensive car seats.

My daughter is now 3 1/2 and we still love it. I highly recommend it. Plus the padding comes out easily for easy cleaning and it's VERY easy to install. I'd buy this brand again in a heartbeat.

I am so surprised by the negative comments!
I bought this car seat for my daughter and it's wonderful. It's easy to install and so VERY secure. The padding is great; cozy, comfortable and easy to clean. It's also so easy to adjust as she gets older/bigger!
I was recently in a bad rear end collision and my 3 year old is perfectly fine, thank God. Yes, it's large, but it's very stable and sturdy and it doesn't move around once it's installed. It's very, very safe...and isn't that the bottom line?

Comments about Safety 1st Alpha Omega Elite Convertible Car Seat Titanium:
We got this carseat when my son was five months old. We had it rear facing for almost a year and had no problem installing it, adjusting it or anything. We now have it front facing and it works even better. Just a tip: I went to a "free carseat check" to find out how to get it to recline far enough back when its rear facing so that it is level. The book tells you to use a rolled up towel (which is not safe). All you have to do is get a pool noodle and cut it in thirds, put the pieces together like a triangle, duct tape them together and put it under the carseat. Works perfectly.

Comments about Safety 1st Alpha Omega Elite Convertible Car Seat Titanium:
We have 2 of these car seats and have loved them from the beginning! We had no problems at all putting them in our car and truck. We have used the LATCH system and just the seat belt numerous times, and find it easy to take in and out of our vehicles. We just took them completely apart to clean them and had no issue putting them back together without the instruction book which we lost! I would buy this car seat again in a minute! I love the fact that we don't have to buy another one because our son will use this one till he no longer needs a booster.

Not the Worst

Comments about Safety 1st Alpha Omega Elite Convertible Car Seat Titanium:
I have had this car seat for 2 years now. I began using it once my son out grew the infant seat. I used it rear facing which was NOT easy. It's very bulky. I don't know how it would fit into a smaller car (I have a Mitsubishi Outlander). Once I turned it around, it's been great. The cup holder is only good for one side. If I move the seat to the other side of the car, then I can't close the door. All in all, I like this seat and am considering buying another for my daughter who is about to out grow the infant seat.

Comments about Safety 1st Alpha Omega Elite Convertible Car Seat Titanium:
I like the carseat, and don't really have any problems with it. We are constantly changing cars with it. I'm 7 months pregnant, and have no problem moving it from car to car by myself. It is a little heavy, but aren't they all? I wouldn't feel like my son was safe in a light cheapo seat. I find the seat easy to adjust, and am surprized on the bad reviews.
