LOVE THE FACT THAT THE 5 POINT HARNESS SEATBELT GOES UP TO 65 POUNDS I HAD TO PUT MY SON IN A BOOSTER AT 3 AS HE WAS OVER THE 40 POUND WEIGHT LIMIT. I DID NOT LIKE HOW EASILY HE COULD SIT UP AND TURN AROUND IN A BOOSTER, SO I LOVE THE FACT THAT I CAN PUT IN A 5 POINT WITH THIS CAR SEAT AND ALSO THAT I CAN BUCKLE IT TO THE METAL BARS IN MY SEATS AS WELL, MAKES ME FEEL A LOT SAFER WITH HIM IN THE CAR. GREAT PRODUCT.

This car seat is great with the only exception being that it doesn't recline. We have family spread across the country and drive when we visit so it would be nice if we could recline my son during those longer trips so that he can sleep more comfortably. We replaced our previous car seat because it was so difficult to buckle and unbuckle. This one is easy enough that our 3 yr old can buckle himself when he isn't wearing a bulky winter coat.
Disappointed

I bought this car seat because it had such a high weight limit for the five-point harness. I didn't find anything else like it for such a good price. It was not too difficult to install, although I wouldn't recommend it if you'll be transferring it between cars on a regular basis. The only complaints I have are that the fabric covers for the armrests come off very easy and that the seat cushion flips up sometimes when I'm trying to put my son in his seat. All in all I was satisfied with this product - I bought a second one for my husband's car after owing this one for only a week or two.
Love It!

My 6-year-old recently reached 40 pounds and had to switch out of the 5-point harness in her old booster. She didn't seem safe to me in the car seatbelt and booster, because she didn't sit still. So, I searched for a seat that had a harness that went to 65 pounds and this seat was a perfect fit! I wish that it came in pink, though.
Still a good seat..

Comments about Safety 1st Apex 65 Booster Car Seat Milan:
Over all, I'm happy with the seat and wont be taking it back. I was just looking for a seat to keep my 3 year old in a harness longer, and this does it. My main complaints about the seat are:
1) The arms are stuck in place, they dont swivel up so I have to lift and manuever him at an odd angle to get him over them and into the seat.
2) It is a pain to install if you don't have decently long arms. The seat is very wide, which I'm ok with. More room for him. But, I'm a bit on the short side, and can't reach across to pull the belt through. I actually had to have help getting it in, but that might just be me. Just be aware that if you're short or happen to have short arms, there might be some difficulty for you.
Highly Recommend

I first bought this product for my oldest child four years ago and just recently bought another one for my second child due to outgrowing his infant seat. It accomodates babies beginning at 20 lbs, and the five-point harness accomodates children up to 65 lbs. The headrest reaches the highest limit in inches required by law, and the width and depth of the seat are enough to accomodate growing children so I won't have to purchase another seat again. The seat is very comfortable and washes well in the washing machine.
Good product

The booster seat was very easy to set up and use. Daily usage for tightening the front harness is difficult to pull, but I am hoping it gets easier as time goes on. We have only had the booster seat for 4 days. My child loves the amount of room she has now even with her coat still on!
Great Booster!!!

This is a great booster! Our son is almost 5, but on the smaller side, so we still wanted him in a 5-point harness. The seat is so easy to move and install from one car to another and very comfortable for our son. We love this booster!

This seat does seem wider than other seats. It is perfect for my large 4 year old whom I'd rather have in a 5 point harness than just a booster. After seeing a safety video on lap belts vs harnesses, I purchased this seat which he can be harnessed into until he's 65lbs then belted in the booster to 80lbs. It was well worth the money. Easy to install, easy to clean. He loves the seat and I love the fact I know my son is that much safer from more serious injuries.
Good seat

My two year old broke his arm and had a long arm cast, he was using a 3rd time around seat for up to 40lbs. It was a real pain to manuever that broken arm into the seat, so I decided it is his turn to get a new car seat. I am so happy we did, it is much easier to get him in and out with the capability of extending the harness further, and the bonus is he can use it until he's out a car seat all together.

We got this car seat a few weeks ago and love it already. Our 2.5 year old son is very tall for his age so he was outgrowing his other seat, and we love that this seat can keep him in a 5-point harness for awhile longer. Also love that it will work with a shoulder belt as well once he's older. Very easy to install, and adjusting the straps is sooo much easier than our old one. The cup holder doesn't stay on very well, but that's the only complaint we have. I'm so glad we have something sturdy and safe and we're hoping it will last.

I bought this seat for my son when he was 2 yrs old and we both loved it!! Yes it is pretty wide but that is part of what makes it so comfortable. The strap are easy to adjust and the whole seat washes easily. My son used this until he was 4 1/2 yrs old and would have used it longer but we got a different vehicle and needed something smaller.

This carseat is amazing...I have a 4 year old who is on the verge of 5 and has been in a regular booster seat using the shoulder/lap belt for some time now. After discussing and comparing safety with his pediatrician, I decided that a 5 point harness would be the safest option for him. I shopped around and made sure that the one I chose had all of the features that I wanted while still providing the safety of a 5 point harness able to support a growing boy. This one is it! The harness supports up to 65 pounds which is great because I know he'll be able to use it for a while. It is also equipped with the LATCH system for tethering and securing the seat. In addition, it has comfort padding and a cup holder, both very important. Best of all, the user-friendliness of the seat allowed my son to keep his sense of independence because he can still strap himself in and the crossover was simple. I highly recommend this seat.

For the most part I love this car seat. It is very comfortable for my 4 year old. Love the color, and the extra padding on it. It's very deep, which makes it comfortable for him and the straps buckle in nicely. The straps don't twist which is the best part, compare to the old seat we had. Instalation was easy. The booklet and directions are easy as well, nothing too confusing about it. And mostly what I like about it is that he can use the straps on the seat until he is 65lb. Even though he is 4 years old and 40lb I didn't feel comfortable using the car seat belt to buckle him in. You hear a lot of stories how kids in car accidents fly out of their seats and get killed just beeing strapped with the regular seat belt. And I didn't want to take that chance.
There are only couple of negative things about the seat. It is too wide. It really didn't have to be that wide. It takes a lot of room on the back seat. The reason I bought the seat with the sides like that was when we take long trips he can rest his head on the side when sleeping. But come to find out he can barely reach it so really he has no support when sleeping. I have to put a blanket or a pillow for him to rest his head on. But on the other hand when he gets older it will probably be fine. And the straps are hard to loosen from the back. But I'm hoping after a little while it will get easier. Overall I am happy with this seat, can't wait to see how other people feel about it.
