Comments about The First Years Kickin Coaster:
My daughter has used it from the very beginning. The video is of her using it at 2 weeks old. Granted she couldn't do very much then, but she was still entertained and she loves it now at just over 2 months and has gotten really great at it. We had to put a box at the foot end back then, because she was too short to reach, but she does now at 23 inches. We put her in it first thing every morning. I think she likes it a lot because she can actually physically do this at an early age, before knowing how to really use her arms yet, etc. We have yet to try the music and lights. It has been the most entertaining activity center we own so far and has been a life saver when I couldnt hold her. She is in it in the bathroom when i take a shower and in the kitchen when i cook.
the cushions are easily washed and you we use the separate head cushion that comes with it in her stroller also.

Comments about The First Years Kickin Coaster:
Bought this because my daughter loves to kick and it advertises that it is great for inants, however I find that even on its closest setting to the kick board, she can not reach it too well (note that my daughter is 5 months and not by any means short for her age). When she does manage to push herself off the kick board, she gets startled from the sound the seat makes on the track. Also, the lights on it are small and the entertainment is minimal. I think the only babies that really benefit from it are the older kids, and by then I can put her into a jumper anyway. Overall I think it's a great concept, but it needs some ironing out. Oh...and it's also very bulky and awkward to move around.

Love this!

My son luvs this jumper. I sit him in it while I cook, clean etc. His eyes light up every time he realizes his kicking is what makes the footboard light up. He is 3 mos old and not sitting up on his own so this is perfect. It was easy to assemble, light enough for me to carry and doesn't take up much room. [...] This is the best [$] investment I've EVER made. My son will definitely be able to grow into this!Activity toy: $30Gas burned in traffic: $10Look on my sons face at the point of dicovery: PRICELESS

Lights and Music Stopped Working

Comments about The First Years Kickin Coaster:
I thought that this product was great, but a few months into use, the music and lights stopped working. My friend just received hers and the blue light does not work at all. Seems like there is a glitch that needs to be worked out with the equipment.

I love this product. I have 4 1/2 month old triplets and each one of them loves to use it. And my husband and I have so much fun watching them in it!!!! Great if your baby is at the stage where they are constantly kicking their legs. Easy to put together. All around worth the money. Added bonus--great for constipated babies. Without fail my babies poop while they are using it!!

My son loves this seat! He loves the lights and music that comes on when he kicks the base of the seat. He likes that he can slide back and forth when he uses his legs. I have had him in the seat since he was a newborn and now that he is older, he can take advantage of the motion of the seat and he loves it! I am glad that I bought it.

Comments about The First Years Kickin Coaster:
I do think this product is a good idea. However, my daughter just never got into it. I tried it at several different stages up to 7 months. There were times when she would push off, but it just never seemed very exciting to her. I used it for my shower each day hoping it would grow on her (until she was big enough for an Exersaucer). May be an active baby boy would do well with this product.
I also think the design needs a little work. Baby needs to be pretty long to kick. Even on the smallest setting. All in all, kind of bummed this wasn't more of a hit. May be your baby will like it!

My 3 month old just loves this. We got it before she was born, but she didn't like being in it when she was younger. I gave it another shot a week ago, and she quickly figured out how to make herself glide back and forth. She just loves watching the lights too. This will entertain her for at least an hour- which is forever for moms who need to get things done! Like someone else said, the only negative thing is the setting where they have to kick to get the music to play isn't sensitive enough. I was sitting there making it play so she wouldn't get discouraged!

Comments about The First Years Kickin Coaster:
I wanted something for my 3 month old to sit in that wasn't boring and he loves being in this seat, moving himself up and down! The music and lights are great! Once he gets tired, he falls asleep right in it! The only thing that doesn't work great is the function where the music and lights play only when he kicks off the pad; it doesn't always play when he kicks so it doesn't really work as a cause/effect teaching tool.

Very Cool Invention!

Comments about The First Years Kickin Coaster:
This is the coolest thing ever! Babies natural instinct is to kick, (especially as they get older) and this gives them a cause and effect for kicking! They kick off and the seat actually moves. My baby is 5 months and she has loved this since the day we received it. The seat actually "cradles" her nicely so she feels and looks all cozy. This is a total must have!

Not only does this act as a bouncer that vibrates and plays music, it also turns in to an exerciser when baby wants to start kicking/pushing. It's awesome! Our 6 1/2 wk old loves it and can kick off already

I have fun watching my baby enjoy it!

Comments about The First Years Kickin Coaster:
I picked this originally because it looks like a little squat machine and I work in the health/fitness industry. It turned out to be a great pick!

We started using this when my little girl was about 3-4 weeks old. I would set her in it after she ate to keep her up at an angle while I had my hands full with pumping. The angle is perfect (even before she had good head control) to keep her from spitting up and for her to look at us and "talk." She could reach the kick "board" earlier than I expected and she loves it! She actually gave us her first smile while sitting in it.

It's what I use if I need to put her down, but she's awake and I want her in the same room with me...I move it around the house with us.

The high level of vibration is a little loud...she doesn't mind it, but I can't handle hearing it for long. The only other thing that I don't love is that you can't remove the kick board...when I want to sit and play with her, it's a little in the way.

Overall, though, I don't know what I would do without it! She loves it and so do I!

Great bouncy seat

Comments about The First Years Kickin Coaster:
My grandchild is 3 mos. She loves the music and lights. She is just starting to get the full use with her legs. I have the seat all the down, and it will grow with her as she gets taller. It teaches children to associate their movement with the turning on of lights and sound and it is sturdier than most plain bouncy seats.

My 7 week old son LOVES it!

Comments about The First Years Kickin Coaster:
A friend of mine had one of these for her 11 week old daughter who loves it so i tried it out for my son. He was smiling his head off the whole time he was in it so we bought him one.

Sometimes he cant quite kick the kick pad hard enough to get the music playing but he still enjoys kicking like crazy.

We have tied a foil helium balloon to a wrist rattle and attached that to his ankle. He gets so excited seeing the ballooning bouncing around that he kicks continuously and tires himself out :)

Very handy to use while you get things done.

Soothing mode is a little stimulating for my son though...he likes to watch the lights a little too much.

Comments about The First Years Kickin Coaster:
My son absolutely loves this and it has been a real lifesaver! It's perfect for an active baby who is bored by the bouncer chairs but still not able to sit upright unassisted. He wasn't long enough to reach the platform at first but still seemed to enjoy the way it cradled him and the vibration setting - not real interested in the lights/music though. Now that he's able to reach the platform and make it work that's all he wants to do! He will do this for hours until he actually puts himself to sleep which is perfect since he goes to work with me. Definitely worth the money!

Con: He is now able to push the glider all the way to the end with some force and if not placed on a towel or something it can be scooted across hardwood floors... it will also make a banging noise which for me is a small price to pay since he enjoys it so much but I can see how it could really annoy some people.

Overall it is very safe, fun and the batteries have lasted forever! I would reccomend this to anyone!

We love the Kickin Coaster! Our 8 week old son likes the music and the lights and he is learning how to exercise (i.e. KICK) and play. Overall, it is great! The only con is that the bouncy chair/vibrate feature is much louder than our other bouncy seat. He does not fall asleep easily in this chair (in vibrate mode) like he does in our other bouncy seat. Buy it for PLAYTIME and you will love it! It is also a poop machine--almost everytime he gets out of it, the kicking and pushing has helped him to push a little surprise out for us! HA! Overall great product!

We purchased this for my son when he was about 4 weeks old because when held he would kick off our laps. He LOVES this. He gets to kick while listening to music and watching lights dance back and forth. Now at 8 weeks old he still loves it and it provokes lot's of laughs and coos. I love it because it allows me to catch up on housework, etc. without feeling like my son is being ignored or understimulated.

Feet don't reach pad

Comments about The First Years Kickin Coaster:
Could be a good product BUT I had to put a dictionary in front of the kick pad so that my babies' feet could reach. Seems sized for 6-month-olds but my 2 month old would get a lot of pleasure from it if it fit them better.

Comments about The First Years Kickin Coaster:
The Kickin' Coaster is absolutely adorable! My little one started using this at around 3 weeks! He LOVES the vibration and the music is so cute, it's not annoying like other toys. I find myself singing the songs in my head and to the baby all day! But most importantly, he LOVES kicking it and using it. It's the first toy that made him smile, it tires him out a bit to sleep and is great exercise. Then my niece loves to use it for her dolls! It's just a great toy all around and everyone loves it. Definitely worth the money!

Comments about The First Years Kickin Coaster:
We purchased this for our son when he was about 2.5 months old. Our son is extremely active and needed more stimulation than a glider or swing could offer. His feet never stop moving! When I saw this kicker and viewed the video I knew it was the right seat for him. He needed a "jumper" but could not sit up unassisted on his own at that young age. This seat fits his needs perfectly. Most times when we place him in it, he has his feet going before we even have him strapped in! Now at almost 5 months old, our son can push the seat all the way back! He loves when we sit next to him and talk to him while he jumps!

Useless item

08/26/2009 by Professional Mom, Staten Island,NY

Comments about The First Years Kickin Coaster:
I was very excited to register for this item when someone mentioned that it is as good as a bouncer and stationary entertainer in one. This is competely false. This item is heavy and bulky so you can't carry it from room to room like a bouncer. It also doesn't bouncer so it is useless for newborns who can't reach the feet to move themselves in any way. There are also no hanging toys for your child to touch with his hands which is ideal for an infant. All my son did was listen to the music and look at the lights for two minutes before he got bored. I returned this item and got a bouncer and my son lovessssssss it. He spends hours in a bouncer and I couldn't be happier with my decision.

Comments about The First Years Kickin Coaster:
I first tried this Kickin Coaster with my son when he was 3 months old and he wasn't interested in it. I thought maybe he was too young, and not long enough to reach the kick pad effectively. I have kept trying over the last 3 months. He still isn't interested. He much prefers his bouncer and his playmats. The idea is nice, but I think it needs to be revamped to have better music, toys, etc. I'm disappointed that this expensive item has not been useful.

I bought this for my 4 month old son because he is always kicking and thought he would enjoy this. I have put him in here about 6 times now and he just doesn't really seem to enjoy it as much as I thought he would. It is a really great concept unfortunately my son didn't really enjoy it.
