After doing a ton of research. We settled on this car seat. We've been super happy with it. My only complaint is the straps for the child can get out of whack easily so im constantly needing to adjust them several times a week. it only takes a second but gets annoying. but otherwise we loved the car seat so much we bought another one, same one, for our child care provider.

After several days of extensive online research, I decided to purchase this car seat because of the high safety rating, comfort, features, and price. I ended up comparing this one to the Britax & ended up with this one because it wasnt $200+ & I am very very happy with it so far. Our 6 month old had already reached his infant seats 20 lb weight limit so we needed something that was still rear-facing but would also still work for him once he turned 2 &/or 40 pounds & needed to be forward facing. I really like the deepness of this seat, he looks firmly inplace in it w/ its high sides all around. It has nice cushioning & I really like how easy the straps are to adjust. My husband had a little bit of a hard time installing it but its in good now, nice & tight. The one thing that I was a bit disappointed in but kind of expected is its so big that in its current rear-facing placement, it makes my front passenger seat basically unusable for my husband to sit in. I have a 2008 scion XB, a smaller car for sure but alot of the reviews I read said this fit in their civic, corolla, etc so I was hoping it would be OK but it is too big rear-facing. Once its turned to forward facing it wont be an issue so its an inconvenience for now but thats OK because I'd rather my baby be safe & comfortable. The suede like material on the sides of this seat are very nice & the material on the middle part wipes off easy. I didnt like the thing that cradles the babys head so it doesnt tilt to either side too much. For us it made his head fall forward because it is so thick, so yeah it didnt fall sideways but it fell forward & thats no good. Its removable though so not a big deal. Overall, I really really like this seat & would recommend it. Its got the safety, comfort convenience & the ability to be used for a long time w/ a growing child but its not so terribly expensive like alot of car seats are.

I ordered this car seat because my friend has 4 of them and said it was the best car seat she has ever purchased. I received it the other day, got it professionally installed by a child certified car seat tech. and I have to say I do love this seat. We now have two seats and I love the look of the seat, the ease of getting him in and out of the seat is also very easy. It's a nice car seat for the price. He does seem to enjoy riding more than when he was in his infant carrier! Awesome car seat and as I said before, the price is awesome. I did shop around and found it more expensive at other stores.

I love the car seat and so does my grandson. It was a little difficult for me to set up but I am not good at directions. My son got it in with no problem and I did find the harness easy to adjust once I figured it out without looking at the directions.

This was easy to install! I adjusted it to fit my daughter before putting it in my car. I was basically able to install it without using the instruction manual. My daughter is comfortable in it. It is made well and sits snug in my Jeep even with my leather seats.

This seat was super easy to install (we used the latch system) in the backseat of a four door truck and is very secure. It is our secondary seat. You can change the height of the harness very easily after it is installed. It is also easy to loosen the harness. I was impressed how easy it is to work with given the good price (as compared to a Britax, which we have in our main vehicle). The only complaints are that the harness straps get tangled easily and it is not as cushy as the Britax (but my 10 month old son has not complained).

I purchasted this, sight unseen, for the use of my soon to arrive grandchild. My daughter-in-law pivked it up and absolutely loves it for the fact that it can be used from bith up through kindergarten years. The safety seems great as well.

I did a lot of research on car seats and gave this on a shot. Was simple to seat up and install the only pain was the car it went in. Took about twenty min. to get in because of car not the seat. I like the seat so much that I will be buying another one for my truck. The fit for my daughter it prefect and you can't beat the price. Trust me I looked around and Walmart has the best price for the same seat.

It was very difficult to install and since my baby is 9 months old and in the 94% for height, the instructions say not to use the extra padding, so it's not as comfortable as it looked online.

I'm not one to write reviews, but I felt compelled to review this product. I can wholeheartedly recommend this car seat! Before purchasing 3 of these car seats last year, I researched and read reviews for over a week before I settled on this model. It seemed like a good choice based on my research, and I was right. Two weeks ago my family was involved in a head-on collision with a drunk driver traveling in the wrong lane and hit us head on going 60 miles an hour. My 2 year old daughter made it out very startled, but unscathed. I credit this car seat for doing exactly what it was supposed to do in a collision. Unfortunately, we had to discard the car seat since it was involved in a collision, but it was money well spent and I will be buying the exact same model as a replacement!

I'm very pleased with this carseat. Between two kids and two vehicles we have had the Graco Snugride, 2 Britax Roundabouts, a Britax Frontier, a Graco Nautilus and now the First Years True Fit. The Roundabout is easily my favorite but it was about to expire (it was her brother's first). The True Fit is definitely my second favorite behind the Roundabout.

I recently purchased this carseat for my 6month old daughter who outgrew her old car seat. I must say this car seat is the most luxurious & most comfortable carseat I've ever felt. Compared to other car seats, this is definitely a good investment. Having it installed properly is a bit of a hassle, the LATCH system comes handy. I think installed the car seat in the middle (being that it's the safest spot), although it blocks out half of my rear window, being at the same alignment as the other headrests in my car. My daughter is very comfortable in it & fall asleep almost immediately. We used this carseat on our 12 hr trip to Virginia and she only fussed when she was hungry or bored. The comfort is excellent for long trips. I recommend this carseat to all new mothers looking for an excellent carseat with high safety features.

Like other worried mom's out there I did a thorough search for the best car seat etc. What sold me... the fact that this seat can be used forward and rear all the way until my son is 5 years of age or 55lbs. No need to buy another one for him. also the head rest comes off making it a heck of a lot easier to fit the seat behind me without me driving against the steering wheel. Had high rating every where I looked. Only downfall is that when I forward face it there is no recline for it but the chair is so deep and wide I hope I won't need it. My son is 7 months old and I feel he is completely safe in this car seat. Very soft and durable. The seat is kinda hard to install but once set up was solid. Bought a leveler from One Step Ahead and now it doesn't budge.

I bought this carseat for my 3 month old cause he hated riding in the car. He seems to love this one now...much more comfortable. It does sit up fairly straight so it isn't always comfy when he falls asleep, but it is so much better than what we had. It wasn't bad to install. it fits in my trailblazer really well too!

Being able to keep him rear facing until 35lbs. and built-in lock offs were two big selling points. We had the seat installed, rear facing with the headrest, in the middle seat of our 4Runner by the California Highway Patrol. Honestly it took up a lot of space, but both myself and my partner are rather small and it didn't make a big difference to us. In the beginning our son fell asleep everytime we were in our SUV. Now not so much, but he is comfortable, at 22 months, 34 inches, and 25lbs., still rear facing, none the less. We haven't had any bad experiences with the clip pinching, however there is the occasional twisted strap, but that is easily fixed. Overall, no complaints about this seat. Safety is our priority when it comes to our son, and we know he is and always will be safe in this seat.

I chose this one because of how long it can be rear facing and how long my son can stay in the five point harness. This seat also received good reviews and high ratings by the authorities in car seat safety. It had the highest weight ratings in those two categories for the price. I didn't know what to expect, but when I opened the box and felt the padding I was pleased. It not only had the safety features I wanted, but it was VERY soft and provided ample padding to keep my son riding in comfort. It also has a removable cup holder. That was necessary for us due to lack of space. I will say that it barely fit in our car. We have a small car, Chevy Cavalier. My husband said it was a pain to install, but seemed more secure. I am pleased with my decision.

My husband bought this car seat for our daughter who HATED, I mean HATED car rides. She was about 4 months old when we got this seat and she LOVES it! It is super soft and padded! All the covering comes off easily so you can wash it when needed and it is really easy to clean. I love this seat and we will be investing in another when we have another baby.

The only down side is that it is a pain in the butt to get in the car and get situated. Once it is in and you have it adjusted it is easier to make changes if you need to later on. Also if you have a smaller vehicle it does take up a lot of room because it is so wide.

Each time I put my son in this seat he falls asleep. That did not happen with the previous seat. The seat stays in place, the straps don't twist and there is enough cushion, so I don't worry about my little guys comfort. It did however take a little effort to put together.

I also enjoy that there are several layers to the seat so it grows with your child while protecting and comforting the smaller infants. The top portion of the seat can be removed making it possible to see over the top in a rear facing position. There is a clever line that lets you know when you need to replace the top piece.

The sides come around offering more protection in a side impact crash. I feel as though my children are secure in this seat. I feel safety is no time to skimp, but that also doesn't mean you need to buy the most expensive seat on the market. First Years has made a quality product that is affordable in this seat.

As far as use goes.... A couple design flaws are the fact that the seats belt release is under the front of the seat. So when in rear facing mode and installed properly (not to move more than an inch along the belt path), one must reach their hand between the back of the seat of the vehicle and the front of the car seat to access the lever to tighten or release the seats belt (5pt harness).

Another design flaw is that the seats belt path is so constricted when the seat in installed properly in rear facing mode, that once you have accessed the release lever the belt (5pt harness) itself is hard to pull through. One must grab the belt from behind the seat to loosen slack for the child to be taken out.

I think this is all due to it being rear facing, so once it gets turned around when our child is 2yrs old, I believe all these issues will be null and void.

We absolutely love this carseat, it was worth the money. If you drive a compact car though, beware... the passenger in front of the carseat will not have much leg room. Also, easier to buckle if starting with leg buckles before chest buckle and this is definitely not a seat to take out once installed. I done alot of reasearch before buying a carseat, and actually bought another one before this one, because it was cheaper. big mistake! I ended up taking it back the same day and ordered this one online. It was here in 2 days. It was super easy to install. We used the LATCH system. We have it rearfacing behind the passenger seat. (we drive a kia sorento) no problem. to adjust the harness, it's pretty simple. It's just kinda hard to pull it sometimes when it's already installed. The cushions in it feel fabulous! They feel so luxurious. And the best part is how u can adjust the harness straps in it. And u also don't have to undo the straps to take it out, u just pull it out. It also comes with a head support cushion, which would be great with a younger baby.It is rated high with all it's safety features. It is a little higher than most car seats, but it is definantly worth it. I would reccomend this to everyone. It really is great. The car seat I returned, btw, was My seat 65 by GRACO. It was horrible. The seat was so hard without the cushion in it, and the crotch strap cut into her legs.

The only other thing is when the car seat is facing backwards, in my husbands truck, you can't recline the seat at all. The top of the car seat is too wide for the opening it gives between the 2 front seats. But that is no big deal. I wish I would have bought this car seat sooner. I researched a lot before i bought a new car seat for my 7 month old who had outgrown his infant carrier. If I had known at the time of my baby shower that they made a car seat that works for infants through 65 lbs, I would have asked for it!!! This item is very easy to clean. The cover snaps off easily. Also, to raise or lower the shoulder straps, you dont have to take everything apart, you just raise up a little bar on the back!! I did have to read the manual to figure how to get everything together. But overall I am sooooo happy that I went with this item.
