bought two for my twins so they could have hot food at daycare and these do the trick. After about 5 hours, the food is still plenty warm. They are pretty expensive, but worth the money. I thought clean up was easy too.

My children are very happy. I bought two jars; one each for my son and daughter. I pack lunch for them and they are very happy now as they get to eat warm/hot lunch. Earlier they used to bring back the lunch as it became cold by noon and now all lunch is finished!! Happy kids and happy mom!

got 2 of these, one for each kid. they love it. great for keeping foods warm or cold throughout the day. size is good. 10oz container holds quite a bit of food. now my kids don't have to have pb&j every day. it did seem pricey, but when i shopped around i found it was the least expensive for a container of this type and walmart had the best price.

I've purchased several of the thermos for my kids to have hot meals at school. None of them kept the food even warm. I found these and read the reviews and decided to give them a try. They are wonderful, my kids came home after school and told me how hot their soup was! Now I put all kinds of things in them! Taco meat for soft tacos, speghetti, stew, soup, mac and cheese! If you give them a try, you won't be disappointed! FYI, I shopped around for the best price and Walmart was by far the cheapest.

Kids 7 and younger will need help opening the container. Their little hands can't grasp the lid tight enough to break the vaccum seal that the heat creates when their food starts to cool down. Make sure to tell them to ask someone for help. Otherwise, chicken nuggets, soups, pasta, anything you want to keep warm for lunch stays toasty. top rack dishwasher safe.

I have very picky 5-year-old who is not a fan of traditional sandwiches for lunch. I purchased this so she could pack soup, spaghetti, and other hot foods for school. I also purchased a blue one for my 8-year-old. They have both enjoyed hot soup and spaghetti several times since purchase. They have had no complaints about temperature; I do preheat the container with hot water while heating the food. They clean up well, even from spaghetti. I was initially concerned about the size fitting their lunch boxes (LL Bean), but they fit nicely with room for other items as well. Don't let the price turn you away; it is worth every penny for the heat and seal. This is the lowest price I found when searching.

This Thermos is excellent -- keeps everything the right temperature until lunchtime at school. I fill it about 1/2 to 3/4 for my kids -- kindergarten and grade 1 -- so I know we'll still be able to use it as they grow. The rubberized base is great to keep the Thermos from slipping around while they're eating. The colors are bright and fun. We bought both a blue and pink so each kid could have one if they wanted to bring something hot or cold on the same day.
Although this says it's top-rack safe in the dishwasher, the recommendation is to handwash to extend the life. That's what I do, but it's a pretty easy cleanup with the wide jar mouth. Sometimes I have to soak it a bit to get cheesy things off, but I don't use a scrubber on it.
I gave this 5-stars overall. I do wish it was a little less pricey, but I am happy with it and think it is well worth the money as I know it will last for at least a few years.

Its also easier for me because all I have to do is heat soup up in the microwave and then put it in the container seal it up and it ready to go.
